Handbid will create an account for each Invitational attendee in advance of the event. The following instructions assume you have already received a login link from Handbid via email and/or text message. Please visit the Handbid Desk in the Registration Suite if you have not received this email or text message.

1. TAP on the link sent to your phone — This link will take to you the App Store or Google Play to download the Handbid app for bidding.

2. TAP on the link again once the App is installed — Once the App opens, wait a few seconds and it will automatically log you in with your Handbid account credentials.

3. SWIPE right to left to join the IRF Auction — We recommend you “accept” notifications when asked. Once you get to your dashboard, swipe right to left to browse categories and items.

4. Be sure to enter credit card information within your profile (you may submit one or multiple cards) in order to begin bidding!

For those who are unable to download the Handbid mobile app to his/her smartphone, iPads will be available onsite and bidding can be conducted from these shared devices. Each attendee will have a pre-assigned 3-digit paddle number and will need to enter his/her paddle number upon bidding, if using one of the shared devices.

• SET MAX BIDS: Select MaxBid and enter the max amount that you are willing to spend. Handbid will automatically bid for you up to this amount.

• DASHBOARD: Monitor your winning and losing bids! Swipe left and right to access categories and items. Select menu in the upper left corner to view your profile, alerts, invoices, etc.

• NOTIFICATIONS: Accept push notifications and receive outbid alerts in the app. Not using the app? Make sure you register your cell, and Handbid can send you text messages.

REDEMPTIONAll successful bidders of packages are welcome to stop by the Auction Information Desk any time between Thursday, May 31, 2018 and Saturday, June 2, 2018, to confirm the mailing address to which they would like their auction certificate or voucher sent and/or confirm payment information. All successful bidders of packages will receive the certificates or vouchers relating to the auction items won via certified mail. Certificates being mailed to destinations within the United States will be delivered within 30 days of the close of the Silent Auction (June 1, 2018 at 7:00 pm CST) and certificates being mailed to destinations outside the United States will be delivered within 45 days of the close of the Silent Auction (June 1, 2018 at 7:00 pm CST). The Incentive Research Foundation does not assume responsibility for further coordination of the auction travel trips. For travel packages, it is the responsibility of the purchaser to coordinate all travel arrangements with the donor(s) of the Lot purchased. This contact information will be provided to you on the auction item certificate or voucher.

CONDITIONS OF SALEAll sales are subject to confirmation by The Incentive Research Foundation. The Incentive Research Foundation reserves the right to withdraw or change any Lot before or at the auction prior to sale, or to combine any two or more Lots into a single Lot, at its sole discretion. Each package will be subject to certain time limitations for validity. Please note that the valid dates and conditions of use for auction travel packages are firm and there is no obligation by The Incentive Research Foundation, sponsoring organization, or the donor to change or extend.

While certain noted coach airfares may be upgraded based on “Availability,” there is no guarantee that the tickets will be upgraded. The participating airlines do not allow a winner to pay for a confirmed higher class of service when using airline certificates. Winning bidders are bound by the restrictions listed herein. Please pay careful attention to expiration and blackout dates, etc.

A bid is a contractual agreement; all sales are final; there are no refunds or exchanges.

SILENT AUCTION SCHEDULESilent Auction bidding officially begins on Tuesday, May 29 at 10:00am CST, and concludes on Friday, June 1, at 7:00pm CST.

Final bidding for the Silent Auction will take place at the Silent Auction Reception on Friday, June 1, 2018 in the Crystal Ballroom at The Grand at Moon Palace. All Silent Auction bids will close at 7:00pm CST that evening, or as announced by the Auctioneer.

SILENT AUCTION BIDDING PROCEDURESBidding this year will be conducted using the Handbid auction app. Instructions for downloading and using the Handbid app are included on Page 3 of this catalog. Please read the description and conditions of sale in this auction catalog or the Handbid app carefully before bidding. Inclusions, blackouts and use dates may vary from one item to another. All details have been provided directly by the donor.

To bid, users select the item of interest, enter the amount of their bid and then tap “Bid Now.” Please note that credit card information must already be submitted in order to bid. Once the bid is submitted, the user will receive a notification if they are outbid.

Large screens in the reception area will feature the total value of bids and progress toward the Silent Auction goal.

Upon the close of the Silent Auction, if a user currently holds the highest bid for an item, he/she will be awarded the winning bid for that item. All bids are binding on the bidder at the time of the Silent Auction closing.

Bidding will begin at or above the Minimum Bid stated on the display and progress by the incremental amount specified on the display and handheld device. Subsequent bids will be according to the bid increment noted on each individual lot display.

Bidders may also enter Maximum Bid amounts, if desired. Handbid will then automatically bid on the bidder’s behalf, until this amount is reached. With the automated bidding system, the highest bid entered for each specific lot at the time of closing on the evening of June 1, 2018, will win the Auction lot.
