Resolution

WHEREAS, On December 11, 2012, the Washoe County Board of Commissioners passed Ordinance 1502, providing for the appointment of the South Truckee Meadows General Improvement District (STMGID) Local Managing Board members to serve as the STMGID Board of Trustees, replacing the Washoe County Commission in that role; and

WHEREAS, For the past two years, the citizens of the South Truckee Meadows General Improvement District were well served by Robert D. Acheson, Steve Cohen, Gary Tavernetti, E. Sue Saunders, and Gerald Schumacher in their role as the STMGID Board of Trustees; and

WHEREAS, Since taking office, Robert D. Acheson, Steve Cohen, Gary Tavernetti, E. Sue Saunders, and Gerald Schumacher have lead STMGID during a time of cooperation, and changing conditions; and

WHEREAS, Working together with the Truckee Meadows Water Authority and Washoe County, Robert D. Acheson, Steve Cohen, Gary Tavernetti, E. Sue Saunders, and Gerald Schumacher have helped guide the STMGID citizens to a resolution that benefits their needs into the future; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the Washoe County Board of Commissioners commend Robert D. Acheson, Steve Cohen, Gary Tavernetti, E. Sue Saunders, and Gerald Schumacher on their commitment and service to the STMGID citizens and wish them well in their future endeavors.
