ACCOUNT PROFILE AND PREFERENCESActivate your Account Profile and customize the International Trade Law Resource Center™ to:• Save documents and searches to My Folders.• Set a default home page. • Set default views for Index Search Results and Case Search Results. • Set a larger text size when viewing the Resource Center.

ACTIVATE PREFERENCESClick PREFERENCES on the banner to select customization features on the Resource Center.

Select your home page, text size, and display preferences for Portfolios, case, and index searches.

Click Save in any frame to save all selections.

ACCOUNT PROFILEAn Account Profile helps you to manage preferences, save and retrieve searches, and receive emails reflecting your specific area of interest.

PREFERENCES — JOURNALS AND REPORTS - CUSTOMIZE TOPICSTo customize your international trade notification services, click Customize Topics under the title.

The Customize Topics screen displays. Below is the screen for the International Trade Daily™,where you have options to choose topics, countries, agencies, states, and courts/tribunals of interest to display on the notification’s home page. Customizable options vary by publication.

Make the selection(s) and click Save .

To view the subtopics included in each topic, click the Info icon .

To delete a selection, uncheck the selection in the Customize by column, or click the X.

HOME PAGESThe main home page contains links to all content included in your subscription.

Access all topic pages by the tabs at the top of the home page or for selected topic pages, click the topic-specific photo icons located on the left side of the home page.

MENU BARThe menu bar is located above the banner and contains links for Site Map, Preferences, My Folders, Account Profile, Getting Started, About, Contact Us, Help, Sign Out, and Text size.

BANNER The banner displays on all pages in the International Trade Law Resource Center™. In addition to the menu bar, find the Quick Search text box, Search History, Saved Searches, Advanced Search, and Find Cases, networking links, links to Bloomberg BNA Authors and Advisors, and Search My BNA.

Quick Search – Search in all collections included in your subscription. When you are working in a collection, the banner displays the added option to search in All or This Collection.

Search History/Saved Searches – Searches are retained in the Search History queue for 90 days. Save them to retain a search past 90 days. To access a saved search, click Saved Searches on the banner or My Folders on the menu bar.

Advanced Search – Use the Advanced Search template to design a search within a specific collection. Options for field searching and date limiters are also available on the template.

Go To – Locate a document or case with a full or partial citation.

Networking Links – Follow Bloomberg BNA on Facebook.

Sign up for email updates – See page 2 for detailed information.

Search My BNA – Conduct a cross-product search in all of your subscriptions by clicking Search My BNA. Note: this feature only appears if you subscribe to more than one Bloomberg BNA service.

TOPIC HOME PAGESTopic Home Pages consolidate cases, news, and analysis content pertinent to the topic on each tab. Click the drop-down menu under More Search Tools to display the additional option to Search This Tab with a preloaded Advanced Search template.

INDEXESBloomberg BNA Indexes are compiled by a dedicated staff of legal-subject specialists. To search, use the Advanced Search template. To browse, use the Site Map.

Find the index links on notification services under Finding Tools on the publication’s pages.

SEARCH Search the International Trade Law Resource Center™ using the Search frame on the home page and on each topic home page.

Quick SearchSearch all content included in your subscription. To limit the search to content listed on the home page being viewed, use the drop-down menu and select Search This Tab, and click GO.

Case Searching Search for ITR Decisions by citation or keyword. When searching by citation, choose to Find this case, and/or Find cases citing this case.

Advanced Search Select Advanced Search to launch the Advanced Search template to search in selected collections and narrow the search by terms, fields, or date.

Search My BNASelect Search My BNA to search across all Bloomberg BNA subscriptions assigned to a User Name and Password and click GO (see page 17).

HEADNOTE FINDERBloomberg BNA’s staff of experienced legal editors have written the headnotes or digests for each decision. The headnotes summarize the important points of law decided in the case and each headnote is assigned a Classification Number. The headnotes are arranged under Bloomberg BNA’s exclusive Classification Outlines and grouped together with headnotes from other decisions to facilitate easy retrieval.

The Headnote Finder allows you to view all of the headnotes associated with any classification number, and allows you to limit the view by court, date, or keyword phrase.

To browse the Classification Outlines, go to the Site Map.

On the Headnote Finder, use the drop-down menu to select a Classification Number.

Select any of the optional criteria. The list of available

courts automatically customizes to reflect the selected Classification Number.

Click SEARCH.

To search the Classification Outlines by number or topic, use the Advanced Search template.

Click any link to view the full-text of the case or additional cited content.

ADVANCED SEARCH Advanced Search provides maximum flexibility when formulating a search. Limit the search to a specific collection(s) and use the optional search fields and date restrictions to structure a search.

1. Select the collections to be searched.

2. Enter the search terms or search string into the Search term(s) text box.

3. [Enter] or click SEARCH.

SEARCH FIELDSTo limit the range of a search and increase the relevance of the search results, incorporate fields-searching into a search string. The searchable fields are specific to the collections being searched, and multiple fields can be searched simultaneously. After the collections are selected, use as many fields as needed to complete the search string.

1. In the Fields frame, choose to Show shared fields, or Show fields from all selected collections.

2. Select a field from the Choose a field drop-down menu and choose as many fields as needed to structure the search.

3. Enter your search terms in the text box next to Choose a field.

4. Click ADD TO SEARCH. The search term(s) are added to the search string in the Search Term(s) text box.

5. Click SEARCH to launch the search.

Enter a full or partial citation, using wildcards as needed. Click GO.

FIND CASES Use Find Cases to simultaneously search for one or more cases. Click Find Cases on the banner to open the Find Cases template.

GO TO To locate cases, laws or regulations with a full or partial citation, with the Go To template. Click GO TO on the banner.

Use the drop-down menus and enter full or partial citations, following the format found under Citation examples, and click GO . Use wildcards as needed (see page 14).Click the Info icon for detailed information about how to use this functionality.

This Case Cited InClick a category to view where the current case is cited.

SPLIT SCREEN VIEW Simultaneously view the Search Results list and full text by using the Split Screen option. Click Split Screen on the search results toolbar.

Full ScreenClick this link to toggle back to the full-screen display.

SEARCH RESULTSSearch Results are initially returned by categories: Cases, Portfolios, News, etc. Click the relevant category to view the Search Results list for that category. Search Results for cases are organized by court, and then sequentially by date. There is also an option to display Search Results by relevance.

SEARCH RESULTS TOOLBARThe Search Results toolbar resides on top of the Search Results display.

Edit - Return to the search screen to restructure the search. Search Within Results – Use this link to refine a search and limit the results by adding additional search terms or criteria (available only when using the Advanced Search option).Add to My Folders: Search – Click to add a search string to a folder. See page 18 for detailed information.Go to Hit – Navigate to and through the search results document(s).Results in – Toggle among the content categories included in a set of the search results.Print – Click the Print icon to launch the print function. Add to My Folders: Document – Click to add a document to a folder. See page 18 for detailed information.Share – Email a link to this document. SEARCH MY BNA Search across all Bloomberg BNA products registered under a User Name and Password with our cross-product search functionality. Click Search My BNA on the banner or search frame.

Click SIGN IN FOR ADDITIONAL CONTENT to include subscriptions with different User Names and Passwords from the one used with your original sign-in (Optional).

Subscriptions are arranged by product category. Drill down a product category and either select individual product(s), or click the checkbox next to a category name to select all products included in a category.

Enter search term(s) and set an optional date restriction.

Click SEARCH.

1 On the results screen, click a document title to view the full text of the document. Search results may list similar documents also published in other titles. Click the Hide Similar (X) link to hide the document list.

ACCESSING THE SAVED ITEMSTo retrieve a saved document or search, click My Folders on the menu bar.

• To sort a column, click the column heading. • To filter files by type, use the Filter Currently Applied drop-down menu and select a filter type. • To display the Folder Options drop-down menu, click the Wagon Wheel icon on the Folders column.• To display the Item Options drop-down menu, right-click on the item’s Name. • Click the Notes icon to create a note. When a file has a note, the + sign next to the icon is removed.

MY FOLDERSUse the My Folders feature to retain a search string or document. Log into your Account Profile in order to use this feature. To retain a search string, click Add to My Folders in the Search Options toolbar.

To retain a document or chart, click Add to My Folders while viewing the item.

Add a document or search to an existing folder, or create a new folder. Add additional information as needed, and click Submit .

NEWSTo keep up to date with the latest international trade news:• Link to the latest cases in the Latest ITR Decisions frame. • Click the International Trade Daily tab to access the latest news and updates, or check the Today’s Top Headlines frame. • Click the International Trade Law Reporter tab for a weekly compilation of international trade legal news.• Click the WTO Reporter tab for daily coverage of news related to the World Trade Organization (if included in your subscription).

INTERNATIONAL TRADE NEWS MONITORAccess information from thousands of resources, including the Federal Register, in the International Trade News Monitor™ (if included in your subscription).

The News Monitor dashboard filters news by Legislative Regulatory News, Litigation News, or Company News. The Monitor also captures Blogs & Commentary.

To open previously saved Documents and Profiles, click the Open Saved Documents/Profiles button.

INTERACTIVE FORMSTo access Interactive Forms, click Interactive Forms in the Practice Tools frame. Follow the screen directions the first time you open the forms, otherwise click Launch.

Some forms are available in a country’s native language.

Select a Jurisdiction(s).

The available documents populate the right-hand window. Select a Form Number or document title.

To simultaneously select multiple forms, use the [Ctrl] key.

Filing Information automatically displays when a form is opened.

Use the arrow buttons to navigate through multi-page forms.

Use the tabs to toggle between and among forms.

To close an individual form, click the x in the upper right of the form.

Fields are color coded: Aqua indicates a fill-in field. A yellow outline indicates the active field.

Right-click a line for additional functions.

proFileS

Profiles are reusable files containing contact and other pertinent information.

Click the New Profiles button to create a new profile. Select the type of profile to be created and click OK.

To apply profile information to a form, click Apply Profile Information, select the profile, and click Open.

COUNTRY RESOURCE GUIDESClick the Country Resource Guides tab to access economic and import/export information including tariffs, taxes, and licensing requirements for more than 220 countries and territories. Click the name of the trade bloc to view the market profile and a list of countries included in each trade bloc. The trade blocs are listed at the bottom of the Country Resource Guides page.

BNA INSIGHTSBNA Insights Authored by international trade law practitioners, BNA Insights offer analysis of key legal, legislative, regulatory, and business developments, with an emphasis on practical implications and emerging trends. BNA Insights are searchable using Advanced Search. Each tab has subject-specific insights.

RESOURCE CENTER UPDATECheck the Resource Center Update frame and find the list of content added to the Resource Center. The Updates are arranged chronologically.

PRINTTo print a document(s), select the document(s) from a full-screen display, document list, or Search Results page.

To print multiple documents from the search results list, click the checkbox next to each document title, and then click the Print icon . A maximum of 25 documents can be printed simultaneously.

Segmented Printing To print segments of Portfolios included in the Resource Center, click the Print icon next to a segment.

The selected documents are displayed in the Print Dialog box.

PRINT DIALOG BOX

Select a text format: Print documents in either Printer-friendly text format or Rich Text Format (RTF).

When printing more than one document, select RTF in order to place section breaks between each document, otherwise, the documents print as one concatenated file.

Print or Display your selections: To select and deselect document(s) prior to printing, use the linked commands in the print dialog box. Use the browser’s print function.

Click the Print/Display Selected Documents button to launch the print preview function.

SOURCE INFORMATIONThe print display opens in a separate window and adds source and contact information to the top and bottom of the document(s).
