Sights and Sounds of Jazz by The Last Straws Wednesday, December 12 533 Royal Street 6:30 p.m. The Historic New Orleans Collection presents a special visual and musical program by the local traditional jazz group The Last Straws. Their presentation, “Sights and Sounds of Jazz,” was developed in conjunction with the New Orleans Jazz Museum and traces the development of jazz from its earliest days, and earliest forms of expression, to the vibrant musical styles of the present day. Vintage instruments, jazz mementos, and photographs of jazz greats bring this fascinating history to life.
