Founded in Switzerland over 100 years ago, SIGG today refreshes the world with stunning design and excellent

quality. Ist Swiss Made, reusable aluminum bottles are much more than drinking vessels. They are artists’ canvases – two designs have earned a place in New York’s Museum of Modern Art (MoMA). Their light weight and practicality qualify them as vital equipment for adrenalin-hungry mountaineers. 1993

The SIGG bottle design is accepted into the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York in 1993.

1980 sees the first SIGG single-color coated drinking bottles. A decade later comes the sports bottle – hot on its heels in 1992 are multi-colored models with drinking caps.

By 1958, the SIGG product family includes several thousand household goods, sports and recreation items.

The SIGG HOT & COLDcollection wins a Red Dot Award for excellence in product design. SIGG VIVA further expanded the product portfolio to strenghten the company’s position on the market.

2014

Metal processing specialist Ferdinand Sigg returned to Switzerland following years of teaching and travelling. Together with his colleague Xaver Küng, he established an aluminum goods factory in Biel. The two combined the love of metal and the conviction that "Aluminum is the material of the future!"

The origin:130 g of aluminum107 years of experience

It all starts with the puck at our production facilities in Frauenfeld (Switzerland). And because SIGG bottles are made from one solid piece of pure aluminum, they have no weld joints and are 100% leak-proof. Though it sounds simple, 600 tons of pressure is needed to form the puck. After 26 additional steps, it finally reaches its distinctive shape, followed by a unique BPA- and phthalate-free inner coating.

The mugs are perfect for tea lovers: equipped with a removeable tea filter made of stainless steel, they are equally convenient for tea bags as well as loose tea.
