Next Space Innovation Forum – 10-11 May?

- Purpose & Goals in the project RIT- Meeting Points

SIF 3• The Eco System around Space• Workshop: new R&D projects

SIF 2• 10 ongoing R&D space projects• Innovation management and collaboration• From idea to a space start-up• Challenges within the space business• Competence within regional SMEs

What “Meeting Point” shall we offer within RIT?The participants agreed on trying to arrange the “Meeting Points” in connection to other space events if possible, for example, next Rymdforum 2017.

• Build meeting points around “themes” • Lunch to lunch events• Why not an “Entrepreneur Week” in Kiruna?• Study visits to space companies – the companies could

be hosting these meetings• Meetings in Sweden in the first place, but abroad if

suitable• If international: ESA locations and UK Space are

interesting sites• All “Meeting Points” should always include:

- an invitation 6 months in advanced- info sessions from the project partners (short pitches)- an external speaker for inspiration (success stories)- time for networking- an evaluation (about the meeting point)

• Speed dating between different actors

• Start-up Kiruna (presentation of successful new companies and their commercialisation journey)

• Problem solving – brainstorming• Idea generation (both upstream and downstream)

• Idea development• Commercialization and Entrepreneurship• Match making• Think tanks• Technology transfer (space – mining)• Academy meets Space industry and SMF in the

region• Competitions for “problem solving” of a challenge

within space industry (Innovationsfabriken)• PhD:s and space companies• Space companies and supervisors
