Growing market demand for decarbonization / SF6-free products
• Under the UNFCCC (United Nations Framework
Convention on Climate Change) Paris Agreement
signed by 189 countries of the world in 2015, it was
agreed to limit anthropogenic global warming to well
under 2º centigrade.
• Each country must determine, plan and regularly report
on the contribution that it undertakes to reduce global
warming by mitigating its greenhouse-gas-emissions.
• SF6 is a strong green-house gas with a CO2 equivalent
of 23,500.
• Since global carbon emissions in 2019 hit an all-time
high record of 36.8 billion metric tons, the pressure on
power utilities to expedite their decarbonization efforts
is increasing!
