On behalf of the organizing committee, we are pleased to invite you to submit papers and proposals ofthe organized sessions to the SICE 2014 conference. Novel interdisciplinary challenges transferablebetween plural fields are especially welcome.

The conference accepts for review two types of submissions, regular papers and position papers. Fullpapers must be submitted for review of regular papers, while position papers are accepted by extend-abstract review. Regular papers accepted and presented at SICE 2014 will be available in the IEEEXplore digital library. Both types of accepted papers will be included in the conference proceedings. Allsubmissions must be written in English.

The SICE Annual Conference 2014, organized by the Society of Instrument and Control Engineers (SICE),will be held Tuesday through Friday, September 9-12, 2014, at Hokkaido University, Sapporo, JAPAN.The SICE Annual Conference 2014 is an international conference covering a broad range of fields frommeasurement and control to system analysis and design, from theory to application, and from softwareto hardware. The technical program of SICE 2014 will consist of plenary and invited talks, tutorialcourses, and workshops, as well as oral and interactive sessions.
