Real-time encoding
The SI3000 Multimedia Carrier multi-service streaming platform encodes, trans-codes, transrates and recasts all currently interesting formats for fixed and mobilevideo applications, including MPEG-4 (H.264) and VC-1. The platform integrates most of the encoding/streaming technologies in a box solution type, which adopts carrier standards regarding stream quality, redundancy and flexibility.
Offline encoding and content editing
The offline encoding system transforms various content formats from differentsources into a format compatible with other solution components. The system is server based, equipped with capture cards and edit-and-cut applications for modifying the content. The system is connected with the archiving system to store the transcoded content, where it is available for distribution to VoD servers.

Real-time encoding
The SI3000 Multimedia Carrier multi-service streaming platform encodes, trans-codes, transrates and recasts all currently interesting formats for fixed and mobilevideo applications, including MPEG-4 (H.264) and VC-1. The platform integrates most of the encoding/streaming technologies in a box solution type, which adopts carrier standards regarding stream quality, redundancy and flexibility.
Offline encoding and content editing
The offline encoding system transforms various content formats from differentsources into a format compatible with other solution components. The system is server based, equipped with capture cards and edit-and-cut applications for modifying the content. The system is connected with the archiving system to store the transcoded content, where it is available for distribution to VoD servers.

Video servers
Video servers are the core elements for building and deploying video ap-plications in broadband networks, because they store and stream all on-demand content.
Application servers are used to serve subscribers with various appli-cations and are added to the service network, according to the proposed services model.

MIDDLEWARE ELEMENTSThe SI3000 MCS middleware is the intelligence inside the IPTV architecture.
