There is a fairy tale in Catalonia, “La rateta presumida” in which many different animals want to merry a vain and arrogant mouse. She dismisses all of them, except a cat… and cats love mice… to eat them!
On Shrove Monday, pupils from our school use to go to the forest to play and have a meal together. And this year, on Friday, they all also performed the tale in the gym. They all wore a mask according to the animal they played. Teachers play as cats !!!They didn’t rehearsed it, since children know the tale by heart… and the result was fantastic.
Finally we all had a funny dance together.
All the animals: there are the frogs…

Sheep…
Pigs…
Dogs…
The arrogant and vain mice…

Donkeys asking for marriage the arrogant mice…
Now it is the turn of frogs to ask for the mice to marry them…
Finally the cats got the mice… and we all had a funny dance !
