This is the 40th Anniversary of the IASYC! HOORAY!! My Lady Sarah and I welcome you to the next wonderful year of the IASYC. I am proud to announce that Neva Frohlick is now 1st Mate Emeritus, and Bob Stanley is now the IASYC Chaplain Emeritus! We had a wonderful party here in Denver. We could not have done it without the support of the El Jebel Shrine Mariners. What a wonderful group of friends. We made many new friends from other Shrines. We also gained 10 new members, and more in progress. The camaraderie was fantastic. Our bus trip to Colorado Springs was great. First we stopped at the Air Force Academy, where we toured the Chapel. What a truly beautiful building. Then we toured Garden of the Gods, a red rock park that is awe inspiring. We had lunch at the century old Trading Post at Garden of the Gods. Then on to the Cog Railway. What an incredible journey. The hour and a half ride each way was a lot of fun, especially seeing the stellar views and playful marmots. Our installation was by Imperial Sir Mike Severe. What a treat. As of the next issue - If a member wishes to advertise their nautical sales items, they will be on the last page. We were going to allow advertising, but our printer said it would remove our charity status for the post office. In an effort to simplify our membership drive, we raised dues to $20. This allows us to simply say - Give me a $20 bill and fill this out, and you’ll be a member of our great, fun-loving family of the IASYC. Please see the enclosed page on our mid-winter; to be held 1-5 March, 2012. In Scottsdale, AZ. The Millennium Hotel will be our party headquarters. Hope you can make it. I promise a great time. Our refreshment room will be across the swimming pool from the hotel building, in a lake front condo. Please get well Lady Ann! I need golf lessons! Bob Omer IASYC Commodore 2011-2012 My Thank You Note to Mike Mike, Congratulations on being installed as the Imperial Potentate. What a thrill to see you, and realize you will guide our Shrine lives for the next year. It is a sincere pleasure to know you. Mike, I know you were very busy, and I am so grateful to you for taking time from your very busy schedule to install my bridge of the International Association of Shrine Yacht Clubs (IASYC). It was important to me to convene two of the people that George Frohlick helped on their paths to Shrine leadership. Neva was in tears watching her sonny boys. I was very proud to be installed by you; what a thrill. Of course, Neva had a third sonny boy there as well, one of yours and my Shrine friends, Bobby Marner. What a treat for her to see George’s dream come true; you as Imperial Potentate, and me as International Commodore. If there’s anything that the IASYC can do for you personally, or the Imperial in general, you’ve only to ask. Remember - you are now a member of IASYC as well. Thanks Mike for helping with my Shrine journey. Hope to sea you in Phoenix next March at our midwinter. Ahoy Nobles & LadiesIt’s been six months since the mid winter meeting in Key West, Fl. My how time flies when you’re having fun. On arrival at the Denver airport to attend Imperial, IASYC summer meetings and Change of Watch, I was wearing a Shrine shirt and was amazed at how many people stopped to shake my hand; this kind of recognition makes you even prouder to be a Shriner. July 4, 2011 - Our motorized boats did not initially make it to the parade due to mechanical difficulties. One finally showed, and we brought up the rear of the parade. David Harris, Secretary -Treasure IASYC (ARABA) and I rode in the parade in a pristine 61 Cadillac owned and driven by Jim Wright (EL JEBEL) antique car club. Thanks for the ride Jim. Later we gathered at the hospitality room. July 5th - USAF Academy, Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak where the view was breathtaking in more ways than one. Then on to Crescent’s Potentate Dinner with Illustrious Sir Paul T. Lojewski and special guest Grand Master of New Jersey, M.W. William L. Morris, Jr., also present was Past Commodore IASYC Dan Dyle (AMARA) and many Crescent past potentates and aids July 6 - Summer meeting and change of watch. Commodore Bob Omer (EL JEBEL), Vice Commodore Lonnie Ramos (ALMAS), Rear Commodore Donald Gortowski (Crescent), Fleet Captain Bob Feustel (AMARA) and Bridge and Secretary, Treasurer and Quartermaster Dave Harris (ARABA) We had the honor of being installed by the Imperial Potentate Michael G. Severe (EL JEBEL)I would like to thank IASYC Past Commodore Klaus J. Reinwarth (AMARA) for his support over the past year and a job well done as Commodore of IASYC. Congratulations to Bob Omer (EL JEBEL), our new IASYC Commodore, and thank you for making our visit to the Imperial and change of watch a memorable one.. My wife Vera was unable to attend due to her recent attendance at our grandson’s graduation from basic training, (boot camp) Fort Sill in Oklahoma. July 14-17 - Then on to MAASYC Summer rendezvous at Knapp’s Narrows Marina, Md. Yacht Clubs present were, Almas, Boumi, Crescent, Kena, Khedive, Kismet, Lu Lu and Nur. Representing IASYC Vice Commodore Lonnie Ramos (ALMAS) and Lady Ann. The weather was perfect for this time of the year (mid 80). The theme was Nifty Fifties. Events included Boat Parade, Boat Decorations, Radio Controlled Boat Races. 105 were in attendance 24 boats. I would like to thank Fleet Captain Kenneth Norris (Kismet) and his lady Eileen for their excellent planning, and Rear Commodore Maurice Herbert (Almas) and his lady Sandy for their assistance. The Joseph Burrows Trophy was won again by Khedive Yacht Club. I have had the honor to serve as Mid-Atlantic Association of Shrine Yacht Clubs Commodore 2010-11 and would like to thank the Almas, Boumi, Crescent, Kena, Khedive, Kismet, Lulu and Nur Yacht Clubs for their support.July 22 - Nur Shrine’s 25th Shrine Children’s Cruise, Chesapeake City, Md. After the patients arrived, there was a short parade lead by Nur’s Legion of Honor followed by the Queen of the Chesapeake, Courtney Reed and representing Top of the Bay Yacht Club Association was Princess Lily Vogelsong and my great grand daughter, 4 year old Indigo Chapman. 1st Mates Corner1st Mate Sarah Omer

Hard to believe the good times in Denver are already over; we have looked forward to the IASYC Festivities in Denver for several years and now they are a fond memory. Bob and I had a wonderful time and loved having so many people stop by the Hospitality Suite.

Thanks to our local Mariners, Jim and Jean Ashley, Larry and Diane Crook, Rudy and Pat Marshall, Neva Frohlick, and Kenny Johnson for all of their help with the Hospitality Suite.

Also thanks to the hard work of Roger Barnes and the Mariners who worked on the parade boats throughout this past year. We were pleased one of them went through the whole parade!

The trip down to the Air Force Academy, Garden of the Gods and the Pike’s Peak Cog Railway was fun. Bob and I had never done the cog railway in our own backyard.

We were so proud to show off our beautiful city of Denver and hope everyone had a great time here. We look forward to another wonderful time in Scottsdale, Arizona, in March of 2012. With the way time flies that will be over before we know it.

We were so pleased to have 75 people at Bob’s Installation event and to have the Imperial Potentate, Sir Mike Severe install him. What an honor.

Thanks to all who came and we hope you will join us in March of 2012.

Love to all of you, Sarah

1st Mate Sandy Harris America the BeautifulWords by Katharine Lee Bates first published as a poem in 1895. Written at the Antlers Hotel in Colorado Springs, COAfter an inspirational trip to Pikes Peak

O beautiful for spacious skies, For amber waves of grain, For purple mountain majesties Above the fruited plain! America! America! God shed his grace on thee And crown thy good with brotherhood From sea to shining sea!

O beautiful for pilgrim feet Whose stern impassioned stressA thoroughfare of freedom beat Across the wilderness! America! America! God mend thine every flaw, Confirm thy soul in self-control, Thy liberty in law!

O beautiful for heroes proved In liberating strife. Who more than self their country lovedAnd mercy more than life! America! America!

May God thy gold refine Till all success be nobleness And every gain divine!

O beautiful for patriot dream That sees beyond the years Thine alabaster cities gleam Undimmed by human tears! America! America! God shed his grace on thee And crown thy good with brotherhood From sea to shining sea!

O beautiful for halcyon skies, For amber waves of grain, For purple mountain majesties Above the enameled plain! America! America! God shed his grace on thee Till souls wax fair as earth and air And music-hearted sea!

O beautiful for pilgrims feet, Whose stem impassioned stress A thoroughfare for freedom beat Across the wilderness! America! America! God shed his grace on thee Till paths be wrought through wilds of thought By pilgrim foot and knee!

O beautiful for glory-tale Of liberating strife When once and twice, for man's avail Men lavished precious life! America! America! God shed his grace on thee Till selfish gain no longer stain The banner of the free!

O beautiful for patriot dream That sees beyond the years Thine alabaster cities gleam Undimmed by human tears! America! America! God shed his grace on thee Till nobler men keep once again Thy whiter jubilee!

After traveling to the top of Pikes Peak, I can understand how this song became one of our nations standards till this day! Colorado is now a part of Dave and me. We will never forget the vast countryside and history that she offers. We made so many great "new friends" in the IASYC hospitality suite at the Courtyard Marriott and we hope to see them all again in Scottsdale.Sandra Leigh Harris

1st Mate Ann RamosHello all, what a great time we had at Imperial. It was such a pleasure seeing everyone. Even though we had a busy week with meetings and such, we especially enjoyed our visits with our IASYC family.

Sarah, what a great job with the luncheon, the food was great and the fellowship with everyone was fantastic. I learned a lot of things about all of you that I did not know.

Of course Sarah had to fill in some of the blanks for us, as we would forget to tell all.

Denver is such a beautiful area within Colorado we really hated missing some of the trips that everyone took. I know you all had a great time on the outings. As Lonnie and I prepare for Charlotte, we are hoping to schedule a few exciting things to do as a group. We will keep you informed as we move along.

It is time to gear up for Scottsdale. Lonnie and I are looking forward to a wonderful time in Arizona. I know it will more than likely be quite HOT, but a bathing suit should cure that.

Vice Commodore Lonnie I am sure has already told you about Charlotte, NC for Imperial 2012, so I will not steal his thunder. I, however, am looking forward again to spending time with all of you once again.

I personally want to thank all of you for your prayers, cards and concerns for me during my incident. It was quite a scare for me, but as Lonnie said in his article I am doing great. I just need to behave HA! HA! That will be hard for me, but I will try.

See you all in Scottsdale, Ann Ramos

1st Mate Gail FuestelI would like to extend my thanks and gratitude to all the lovely ladies who attended the breakfast that was offered for the wives of our Mariners from far and wide. So many of you knew each other well and have been part of this group for so many years and yet you all made me feel such a part of your group. This was a “first time event” for me as my husband, Bob Feustel, is just getting involved with the IASYC. I had no idea this was such a large Organization and just how many people attend at the International level. I had so much fun browsing through the booths of so many vendors at this convention. One could get into lots of trouble without too much coaxing! I was most impressed by the Shrine opening session held on July 3rd. The Imperial Potentate elect, gave the opening remarks. I had no idea of the power and strength these Shriners bring to this worthy cause of helping children across this great country. The International Association of Shrine Yacht Clubs, is a wonderful asset to the Shrine Nobility. These Mariners are pretty classy guys. I am excited to get to know all of you better and I look forward to our next event in Arizona! If there is anything I can do to help make this group successful, please don’t hesitate to contact me. Lady Gail

Lord, Forgive Me When I WhineToday upon a bus I saw a lovely girl with golden hair. I envied her, she seemed so gay and I wished I were as fair. When suddenly she rose to leave, she hobbled down the isle. She had one leg and wore a crutch, but as she passed, a smile. Oh God, forgive me when I whine. I have two legs, the world is mine.

I stopped to buy some candy, the lad who sold it had such charm. I talked to him, he seemed so glad. If I were late it'd do no harm. As I left he said to me, "I thank you, you have been so kind, it's so nice to talk to folks like you. You see, " he said, "I'm blind." Oh God, forgive me when I whine. I have two eyes, the world is mine.

Later while walking down the street, I saw a child with eyes of blue. He stopped and watched the others play, he did not know what to do. I stopped a moment then I said, "Why don't you join the others dear?" He looked ahead without a word, and then I knew he could not hear. Oh God, forgive me when I whine. I have two ears, the world is mine.

With feet to take me where I go and eyes to see the sunset glow. With ears to hear what I would know. Oh God forgive me when I whine. I'm blessed indeed, the world is mine.

ARABA CENTER UNIFORM UNITCOMMODORE R. ANTHONY CLARK

May 2011

From The BridgeCommodore Tony: Good mid-summer break to all Mariner Nobles and Ladies. It’s always good to take a little break and spend some time reflecting on the busy and quite productive season we’ve just endured. I’m so glad our June rendezvous had a great showing – I knew it would. You were in the capable hands of our Bridge. So, please excuse my absence, but a certain little one had to be baptized that fine day. That dress was slippery – I was so worried about dropping her:

Other than my Bridge, I haven’t heard much from the Unit. Please feel free to call or email with any interesting tidbits, news of member distress or even a fun summer project. I will immediately share your information with everyone. Mariners want to know what you’re up to! I’ve been restoring an old, mahogany rowing dory this month. If gas gets above $4 by Labor Day, I may be rowing it to our rendezvous! The mechanicals are about finished. Now, I just have to refinish the wood and cover with several coats of polyurethane. You’ll see me weighing less when it’s finished because I’ll be on the river pulling on those 10’ oars!

Have a great summer and I certainly hope to see you at the July rendezvous on Captiva or even the July 4th Parade. Vice Commodore Dave: While you were all snoozing, 2 of our Mariners were nominated and elected by our bridge to represent the IASYC locally. PP Ed Cotton has accepted the position of Port Captain for our district.

Congratulations go out to both of these fine Nobles. They will represent Araba well.Coming up this September 16th 17th and 18th, we will be doing a joint rendezvous with the Sahib Mariners. They enjoyed your company so much at the party held at the Mirr Estate that they are coming from Sarasota to join us at the Burnt Store Marina in Punta Gorda. There will be a hospitality room set up 2 full days for your indulgence. Hotel space has been reserved at a discounted rate. Make your reservations now. The facility offers a pool, Tiki Bar and boat rentals as well as a boat ramp. A round of golf is being offered as well. Mark your calendars, more info to follow. Two weeks later on Sept.30, the FSMYCA is holding a rendezvous at the Lake Mary Hampton in Lake Mary FL, information on this will be coming your way soon . Most likely when you receive this notice, many of your Araba leaders will be in Denver CO representing you, our Nobles. Y'all have a great summer, charge up your batteries for an exciting fall. Dave Harris VC941-629-0144

Rear Commodore Dick: Noble Mariners: No such thing as the summer doldrums for Mariners. We had 32 happy Mariners - counting wives and others - enjoying Sunday lunch at the June rendezvous at Nervous Nellie's at Fort Myers Beach. The Mariner Cadillac appeared in the Naples Fourth of July Parade for the first time in years. Nice going, Shipmates. The July rendezvous will be at the "Green Flash" on Captiva Island at 12:30 PM, Sunday, July 17th. For August, we're going to try the "Lazy Flamingo" on McGregor Boulevard across from The Landings - but that will have to be confirmed later. Enjoy your summer and, if you're traveling, be careful. We want you back next September.Dick NelsonRear Commodore

Ahoy Noble Mariners

I can’t express enough how pleased my Lady Ann and I are to have this opportunity to join with you all in congratulating our newly installed IASYC Bridge Officers for the ensuing year, 2011/2112. Also we would like to thank Commodore Klaus and his Lady Martha for a great year. What a Pro to guide the Club through a tough, but prosperous term. Take the time to shake their hand for a job well done. And while I am at it, thank you all for your support and kind words accepting us in the Bridge Line as Vice-Commodore with such confidence. We look forward to working with you to promote IASYC; a fun organization and a place to meet with old friends and make new acquaintance. We should also congratulate our newly installed Rear-Commodore Don and Lady Vera Gortowski. They are truly dedicated to Shrinedom and Yachting. I would be remiss if I did not mention the great service and dedication of our Secretary/treasure Noble Dave and his Lady Sandy. These are not easy positions to fill and it takes real dedication and talent to perform the necessary tasks to keep IASYC on an even “keel”.

We are preparing to join Commodore Bob and Lady Sarah at the Mid-Winter Outing and Cruise in Scottsdale and are very excited about the great plans negotiated to insure an enjoyable trip at very affordable rates for fun in the sun. Also we owe them many “Kudos” for their efforts in Denver. I would also mention that we enjoyed a great experience and good time in Denver at the International Session and Change of Watch. Many thanks to Imperial Sir Mike for allotting time in his busy schedule to come and install our 2011/2012 Bridge Officers. Also we owe a great debt of thanks and gratitude to our Past International Commodores and the many members who continue to participate and support IASYC by attending the meetings.

And now a brief word on Lady Ann’s well being. For those of you who have not heard Ann experienced a mild heart attack on our return trip from Denver. We were driving through Nebraska and she complained of a chest pain and discomfort so we pulled off the highway in Lexington, NE. The medical staff at the hospital emergency room immediately gave her three nitro pills and four

aspirins and an inserted an IV. They admitted her for observation and further testing which lasted two additional days. Bottom line diagnosis is some fluid on the heart and when we finally returned home our doctor has put her on a maintenance program and if she pays attention to the doctor’s advice our delay will have been just a warning and she will be fine. Thank you all for your calls, cards, and prayers.

Lady Ann and I attended the Mid-Atlantic Association of Shrine Yacht Clubs Rendezvous in Naps Narrows on the Chesapeake Bay on July 16 and enjoyed the festivities. MAASYC Commodore Don Gortowski and his bridge officers planed a great week of activities like the Boat parade, boat decorations, model boat races and the grand finale banquette and music and dancing Saturday night.

Please mark your calendars for the 2012 Imperial Session in Charlotte, NC July 1st through the 5th. I have paid our fee with the Imperial Housing Committee and made three choices for hotel and am still awaiting response from Imperial for our designated choice. Charlotte has many points of interest. It is the home of stock car racing featuring the Talladega 500 and Daytona stock car racing history is on display at the NASCAR Hall of Fame. Great race car champions like Dale Earnhart and Richard Petty who helped shape the sport at the Charlotte Motor speedway are exhibited at this museum. Charlotte has a rich American history steeped in the discovery of gold and the pride of the Scotts-Irish settlers. The Queen city was founded in 1769 and named for Queen Charlotte, wife of King George III of England. The discovery of a 17 pound gold nugget drew many immigrants to the area to follow the nations first gold rush. Agriculture, mainly cotton and tobacco, became the leading revenue provider until the civil war. After the war textile industries sprang to life when the city became a cotton processing center and major railroad hub. There are many other points of interest. I am certain you will enjoy your visit. Come to the mid-winter in Scottsdale, AZ and learn more.

Brisk breeze, calm seas, and safe journey;See you all in the desert.

LONNIE RAMOS PPVice Commodore

Charter Member Bill JayneRegarding other charter members, I'm sorry to say they have all passed the bar and sailing on the endless seas in heaven.I was probably the youngest member at that time back in the meeting when we elected Carl D as our first commodore. The meeting was held in his house in Cape May NJ...I was about 36 years old and all of the others had at least 10 or more years on me. In fact many were old enough to be my father....The first boat I cruised with the Shiners was a 26ft Stamas and when we cruised strict protocol was observed by the office that person held when cruising...A couple of boats I remember so well ==one was owned by Homer Lyman which was about a 40plus foot yacht and Homer invented the Universal Washing Machine and his boat was named UNAWASCO. The other was a fellow by the name of Winner Delp...he had a Colonial Boat and liked it so much he bought out the company that made them. The name of his boat slips my mind at the moment....He was the owner or largest share holder of Walter Kidde the fire extinguisher company. Another one was Eddie Wolfarth...he invented the plastic curtain for showers machine and also the tops for all of the gas tanks in the world...He never finished his formal education.....These were some of the original charter members and what wonderful cruises we had with a lot of sea stories to go with them.Let me tell you a little about myself...I am 82 years old a Amphibious WW2 Combat Veteran with 6(battle star) landings in the South Pacific and one Naval Unit Commendation. I was 17 when I made 3 and 18 when I made 3. I was on the beach when the flag was raised on Iwo Jima on Feb 23rd 1945 at 2:20pm. In fact the flag came from our sister Amphibious Landing Ship Tank because the first flag that went up as 10:30 am was too small for all to see.I spent 3 years in the Navy was in all kinds of weather being out to sea 90 % of the time for the 26months I was out there. The worst was a Typhoon when we were invading Okinawa on Easter Sunday April 1st 1945 and the storm hit 6 days later...We were sent out to sea and I remember peeking out when we were in the eye of the storm and the waves were over 70-90 feet high as we were 63ft from the top of the mast to the water line and we could look up at the swells coming at us. You had to be young and dumb not to be scared under those conditions....I have a healthy respect for the water and all the Shriners I sailed with practiced Safety at all times.Fraternally Bill Jayne

The IASYC Ships store traveled from SW Florida to Denver CO the first week in July, to celebrate the 137Th Imperial Shrine Session. It was not the first Imperial held in Denver but it was ours!Arriving there by plane was an adventure for me. The plane touched the extra long runway at 5200 feet! Figure that, mile high city! The 4 hour plane ride was the easy part of the trip. The Denver airport has to be the toughest I have ever navigated. We're off the plane and are headed for our baggage. We're walking and we're walking, up stairs, down stairs. Not done yet, gotta take a train if you want your luggage! My suggestion for the City of Denver is to put oxygen kiosks around their airport! After all the walking and a fast train ride, we're now getting close to the luggage pick up area. Yep there it is, but there's no luggage? It must have missed the train? Eventually it started coming a piece at a time and we were off to the passenger pick up area. Follow me babe it's right out that door! After standing at the curb for 10 minutes without seeing our ride, nor anyone Else's ride, we were informed that this was not the correct level for passengers to be picked up! Go back through the door you came out, go around the corner to your right and take the elevator up one flight! At that very moment I figured out why Denver's population is the skinniest in the nation! OK, lug all this stuff, all 200 lbs again, this time we can't miss. Where's Bob? Where's Sarah? Ring ring, where are you? "Where are you?"The remainder of our visit was very pleasant. I want to thank all who patronized the store while out there, you made the baggage charges pay off! See you in Scottsdale, it will be Phun!

Why I Like the I. A. S. Y. C.

When I was born a Shriner some 40 years ago, I did not have the time to invest in all of the Shrinedom Clubs and events. I had a family and three kids. That took all my free time, not counting running our own small family business. We were involved with the Blue Lodge and Demolay, dad advisor, chapter dad, and then there was Rainbow. After all that we also had our own family life, and what we wanted to do. Time is a precious commodity in a young growing family, as you all know.

As you mature and your young adults leave the nest forming there own lives, time reappears. Now you find yourself a little older, grayer, slower, but with this precious commodity, time and what to do with it. Rededicating your self to Blue Lodge, a Shrine Center, a Shrine Club, and maybe a special one of a kind unit like the I.A.S.Y.C.

In my Blue Lodge I can be as active as I choose in many directions, the same at the Shrine Center and Shrine Club. Involvement is from kitchen work to sitting in the chairs, along with committee work. Shrine work is strong on fund raising, unit parades, fund

raising, ceremonies, fund raising, anything to do with the kids, especially fund raising. If you are like me you are really busy with your own clubs and units. This serious business, fund rising.

When I joined the I.A.S.Y.C. it was about boats and boating, something I was doing a lot of being on the ocean year round. There are two gathering per year, a Mid-Winter meeting, hopefully some place warm, and the Imperial Session the first of July. The rest of the year you are own your own, unless you’re a line officer. The great thing about the I.A.S.Y.C. was we were all interested in the same thing, boats, yachts, and boating all over the country, fresh water and salt water. Strong friendships are made, even if we see each other only once a year, some times, once every other year. Never the less, the bond is strong and very diversified. We all stand together in our dress whites, blue blazers and wearing our Fezzes proudly. You might think we were real Navy personal. The uniqueness of the I.A.S.Y.C. is it is a fun club. Setting aside all the do diligence of our other clubs and units, gathering to enjoy the social, friendly, family type atmosphere. Our ladies look forward to seeing each other because they are special in our club. We are a special club, and our ladies are a huge part of it. Who else would dress us and make sure we look great. We represent our ladies too. Every time we gather lets remember how much of a fun group we are. We are not here for a long time; we are here for a good time.

Ahoy,Our course has been charted, the bridge has been set, and we are underway for the 2011-2012 IASYC year. It was fun to be in Denver this year. Being a first timer at a Shrine convention, I was impressed by the excitement and the dedication to helping children exhibited by so many nobles and their ladies. The parade was a Hot One! It was 99* at the kick off. And what a parade! There were so many colorful and unique units from all over the world on display. The streets were lined with many Denverites and Shriners with their ladies to make for a very festive event. It lasted over two hours. It was so much fun that a couple of us went thru the parade twice. Our motorized boat made a valiant effort to participate in the parade with the extreme heat. My fez is off to all the EL JEBEL nobles that pulled off what seemed to be a miracle, to enable us make it thru the parade. The boat’s engine as well as the crew aboard needed and used plenty of bottled water during the event.A big thank you to you,” Denver Nobles”. I personally would like to thank the Denver EL JEBEL Shrine Mariners and their first mates, for the wonderful hospitality shown to us at the convention. The hospitality room was always welcoming. The food was great, and the refreshments were always available. I feel privileged to become your Fleet Captain this year. Being sworn in by El JEBEL’S own Imperial Potentate, added a real sense of brotherhood and dedication to serving on the IASYC bridge. Hello to all Ambassadors, Port Captains, and District Commodores, I am eager to get to know you. Also interested in knowing what activities you have, so that we may acknowledge you to other IASYC Nobles. Developing IASYC Membership is important to me. With new members come fresh ideas and developing friendships, the sharing of great boating experiences, along with opportunities to experience remote outings. I will be contacting each and every one of you pretty shortly. If you need to get in touch with me, please call..I am proud, first to be a Mason, a Shriner, and an IASYC Member, serving on the bridge as your Fleet Captain this year. Fair Winds to you,

Fraternally yours,Bob Feustel, Fleet Captain
