धतृराष्ट्र उवाच-धर्मके्षत्रे कुरुके्षत्रे सर्वेता युयुत्सवः। र्ार्काः पाण्डवाश्चैव ककर्कुवमत सञ्जय।। 1/1
धतृराष्ट्र उवाच सजंय
{धतृ+राष्ट्र-जिसने शिव पण्डा अर्ाात ्पाण्डु के पााँच उगशियों में गण्य अल्पसखं्यक 5 पाण्डवों की राज्य-सपंत्ति को नोटों से वोटों वािी बेकायदे प्रिाततं्र सरकार द्वारा धर शिया है, ऐसे अन्याय से एकत्रत्रत हुए धन, पद, मान-मताबे और िनबि के मद में अज्ञानान्धकार में परेू ही अधंे हुए पूिंीवादी रािा बने} धतृराष्ट्र ने कहा- हे सजंय! {स+ंिय=अर्ाात ्हे सपंरू् ा त्तवश्वत्तवियी सिंय!}
धर्मके्षत्रे कुरुके्षत्रे {इस तमोगरु्ी तामसी कशियगु-अतं में चि रहे हहदं-ूमजुलिमाहद ‘‘सवाधमाान ्पररत्यज्य’’ (गीता 18-66) के अनसुार ढेरों साम्प्प्रदाययक} धर्ों के यदु्धके्षत्र र्ें {और उन धमों के आधार पर आडम्प्बररत-मदुाा ििाना, िमीन में दफनाना आहद ढेरों} कर्मकाण्डों के कर्मके्षत्र र्ें, {उन मठ-परं्-सपं्रदायों के रूप में}
सर्वेता ययुतु्सवः एकत्रत्रत हुए {तामसी बदु्धध वािे बड़े-2 बाहुबि की एटॉशमक हहसंा पर उतारु और} यदु्ध के लिए उत्कंठित र्ार्काः पांडवाश्चवै ककर्कुवमत रे्रे {हठी-क्रोधी} पतु्रों और पाण्डु के पतु्रों {पाण्डवों} ने क्या {फैसिा} ककया?

uvaac sanjay Dhritarashtra {Dhrita + raashtra: the one who has seized the kingdom and property of the
five Pandavas in minority, [the children] of Pandu, meaning Shiva, the Guide (Panda) who
can be counted on fingers, through the unlawful democratic government that wins vote
through [rupee] notes; the one who has become a capitalist king by becoming completely
blind in darkness of ignorance out of intoxication of wealth, status, honour, position and
manpower gathered wrongfully} said: O Sanjay! {San + jay = it means, O Sanjay, the conqueror of the entire world!},

maamakaah What did {Pandavas,} the children of Pandu and my {stubborn [and]
wrathful} children,
yuyutsavah
samvetaa {who have a taamasi* intellect, [who are] ready for atomic violence of physical power, [who
are]} eager to [fight] a war [and] have gathered {in the form of those religious establishments,
sects and communities}
dharmakshetre
kurukshetre on the battlefield of {numerous communal} religions {according to “sarvadharmaan
parityajya” (Gita ch.18, shloka 66), [i.e. renouncing all the religions like] Hindu, Muslim
and so on prevailing in this tamoguni* taamasi end of the Iron Age and} on the field of
actions of {numerous} rituals {like burning corpses, burying them under soil and so on
based on those religions, decide}?
संजय उवाच-दृष्ट््वा तु पाण्डवानीकं व्यूढं दुयोधनः तदा। आचायं उपसङ्गम्य राजा वचनं अब्रवीत।्। 1/2
व्यढंू पांडवानीकं दृष्ट््वा त ु व्यहूाकार, {व्यवजलर्त, सगंहठत व यनयतं्रत्रत} पांडवों की सेना को देखकर तो राजा दयुोधनः आचाय ं {लवभाव से दषु्ट्टयदु्धकताा} दयुोधन राजा ने {घड़े िसैी बदु्धध के त्तवद्वान} आचायम द्रोण के उपसगंम्य वचन ंअब्रवीत ् {सामने ही} पास जाकर {बड़े गवा से 1 बड़े रािा की तरह अपने गरुु से यह} वचन बोिा-

paandavaaniikam [Sanjay said:] after seeing the {systematic, gathered and governed}
arrangement of the army of Pandavas,

upasangamya King Duryodhan, {the one with the nature of fighting a wicked war} went to
{[i.e.] in front of} acaaryam vacanam
abraviit
acharya1 Drona, {the scholar with a pot like intellect} and said {these} words
{to his guru very proudly, like a big king:}

आचायम तव धीर्ता {त्तवकारी मानवयनशमात ढेर िालत्रों के प्राचाय ा माने िाने वािे} हे आचायम! अपने बदु्धधर्ान {बने} लिष्ट्येण द्रपुदपतु्रेण व्यढूां पांडुपतु्राणां लिष्ट्य द्रपुदपतु्र धषृ्ट्टद्यमु्न द्वारा व्यहूरूप र्ें सजाई गई पाण्डु-पतु्रों की एतां र्हतीं चर्ू ंपश्य इस {र्ोड़े समय में इतनी िीघ्रता से यनशमात} वविाि {ज्ञानिलत्र सजज्ित, पवाताकार} सेना को देखखए।
Pashya etaam paanduputraanaam aacaarya mahatiim camuum.
Vyudhaam drupadaputrena tava shishyen dhiimataa. (Ch.1, shloka 3)
Aacaarya O Acharya! {the one who is considered the scholar of numerous scriptures created by
vicious human beings}
pashya etaam mahatiim
camuum paanduputraanaam look at this huge, {mountainous} army of the sons of Pandu {equipped
with the weapons of knowledge,}
vyudhaam tava shishyen
drupadaputrena dhiimataa {formed very quickly within a short time [and]} arranged by your student
Dhrishtadyumna, the son of [King] Drupad {who has become} wise.
अत्र िूरा र्हेष्ट्वासा भीर्ाजुमनसर्ा युधध। युयुधानो ववराटश्च द्रुपदश्च र्हारथः।। 1/4
अत्र यधुध यहााँ {इस धमायदु्ध की पाण्डवीय सेना में धषृ्ट्टद्यमु्प्न1 ही नहीं, बजल्क} यदु्ध र्ें {सभी कौरवों-कीचकों-राक्षसों के बीच} भीर्ाजुमनसर्ा र्हेष्ट्वासा {भयकंरकमी} भीर्2 और अजुमन3 के सर्ान र्हाधनधुामरी {गदाधारी, िलत्रधारी व महान}, िरूा ययुधुानो िरूवीर {सत्य नारायर् िसैा सदा यदु्ध-इच्छा के सार् सत्यार्ा यदु्धकताा त्तवियी सात्यकक} 4ययुधुान च ववराटः और {आम्र के प्रवतृ्तिमागी द्त्तवदिीय बीि त्तवष्ट्र् ुिसैा मत्लयदेि का बगंािी बीिरूप रािा} 5ववराट च र्हारथः द्रपुदः तथा {द्रौपदीयज्ञकुण्ड का यनमााता} र्हारथी 6द्रपुद है। {जिसका पहिे से ऊाँ चा & ध्रवु + पद है ही।}

desire to fight like Satyanarayan (true Narayan)}

धषृ्ट्टकेतुः चकेकतानः कालिराजश्च वीयमवान।् पुरुजजत ्कुजततभोजश्च िैब्यश्च नरपुङ्गवः।। 1/5
धषृ्ट्टकेतशु्च चेककतानश्च वीय मवान ् धषृ्ट्टकेत7ु और {एक ही सरु का वक्ता} 8चेककतान तथा बिवान ्{अमोघवीय ा शिव की नगरी} कालिराजः परुुजजत ्कुजततभोजः कािी का 9राजा, {अनेक नगरों का त्तविेता} परुुजजत1्0, {यदवुिंी/यादव} 11कुजततभोज च नरपुगंवः िबै्यः और {मननिीि} र्नषु्ट्यों र्ें श्रेष्ट्ि {सदा शिवज्योयत भगवान का पतु्र परुुषोिम िसैा} 12िबै्य {है}।

ववक्रातत यधुार्तयशु्च वीय मवान ् {यदु्धकिा में माननीय महापराक्रमी} ववक्रर्ी 13यधुार्तय ुतथा वीय मवान/बिवान उत्तर्ौजाः सौभद्रो {महादेव िसैा उिम ओि वािा} उत्तर्ौजा14, {रुद्र-भधगनी} सभुद्रा का पतु्र {मामाशभमानी 15अशभमन्य}ु द्रौपदेयाश्च सवम एव र्हारथाः और द्रौपदी के {पााँचों} पतु्र-{ये} सब ही {देहाशभमानी के हार्ी पर सवार िसेै} र्हारथी हैं।

Saubhadro draupadeyaashca sarva eva mahaarathaah. (Ch.1, shloka 6)

viiryavaan {The most valiant,} mighty 13Yudhamanyu {honoured in the art of battle}
and courageous or powerful uttamaujaah saubhadro Uttamauja14, {the one with the best brilliance (oj) like Mahadev}, {Rudra’s
sister} Subhadra’s son {15Abhimanyu [who is] proud of his maternal uncle}

mahaarathaah
and {all the five} sons of Draupadi; all {these} are mahaarathis {like the
ones riding on body conscious elephants}.
अस्र्ाकं तु ववलिष्ट्टा ये ताजतनबोध द्ववजोत्तर्। नायका र्र् सैतयस्य सञ्ञाथं तातब्रवीलर् ते।। 1/7
द्ववजोत्तर् त्वस्र्ाकं ये ववलिष्ट्टा हे द्ववजतर्ा {मानवीय गीता-ज्ञानी} ब्राह्र्णों र्ें उत्तर्! हर्ारे जो ववलिष्ट्ट {योद्धा हैं}, ताजतनबोध र्र् सतैयस्य नायका उतहें {भी सेनापयत होने योग्य आप} जान िीजजए। {वे} रे्री कौरव सेना के नायक {हैं}। तान ्ते सञंाथ ंब्रवीलर् उतहें {पहिे ही} आपके पररञानाथम बताता हूाँ; {क्योंकक त्तपतामह के बाद आप ही महारर्ी हैं।}
Asmaakam tu vishishtaa ye taanibodha dvijottama.
Naayakaa mama sainyasya sangyaarthan taanbraviimi te. (Ch.1, shloka 7)

ye vishishtaa O the best among the Brahmins {having knowledge of the human Gita} who is
born twice! {You, the one who is worthy of being the commander-in-chief, there
are} our excellent {warriors},
taannibodha naayakaa
mama sainyasya know them {as well}. {They are} the leaders of my army of Kauravas.

sangyaarthan I tell you about them {in advance} for your knowledge; {because you alone
are the mahaarathi after Pitamah.}
भवान ्भीष्ट्र्श्च कणमश्च कृपश्च सलर्ततञ्जयः। अश्वत्थार्ा ववकणमश्च सौर्दवत्तस्तथैव च।। 1/8
भवान ्भीष्ट्र्श्च कणमः आप {लवय ंआचाया हैं ही} और वपतार्ह भीष्ट्र् {जिनकी माहहती िब्दार्ों में है,} {ऐसे ही} कणम च सलर्ततजंयः और {आहद ना0 की ज्यों सारे ससंार में कभी न हारने वािा, सदाकाि यदु्ध में त्तवियी} सलर्ततजंय, कृपः च तथा एव {कुरू-रािपररवार में यनलवार्ा (?) सेवा वािे बड़े कृपाि?ु} कृपाचायम, और उसी तरह {आपका त्तप्रय पतु्र} अश्वत्थार्ा {मन रूपी सपामणर् का धारर्कताा} अश्वत्थार्ा, {दयुोधन के सामने ही यनडर होकर कटाक्षकताा और} ववकणमश्च {चापिसू कर्ा और द:ुिासन के भी त्तवपरीत लवभाव वािा} ववकणम और {इस चापिसूी ससंार में} सौर्दवत्तः {िीति ज्ञानचंद्र कृष्ट्र् उफा सतयुगी 16 किा नारायर् की तीसरी पीढ़ी के नारायर् में प्रत्तवष्ट्ट, भूरर-2 प्रिंसनीय
महात्मा बदु्ध ही} सोर्दत्त-पौत्र भूररश्रवा है। {इस बात के संज्ञानार्ा AIVV का एडवांस कोसा अयनवाया है।}
Bhavaan bhiishmashca karnashca kripashca samitinjayah.
Ashvatthaamaa vikarnashca saumadattistathaiv ca. (Ch.1, shloka 8)
Bhavaan bhiishmashca
karnashca {Acharya,} you {yourself are certainly there} and Pitamah Bhishma, {-
information about him is mentioned in the meaning of words -} similarly, Karna
ca samitinjayah and Samitinjaya, {the one who never loses in the world like the first Narayan [and]
is always victorious in the war,}
kripah ca tathaa eva Kripacharya, {the one who is very kind? [and] serves the royal family of Kuru
selflessly (?)}, and in the same way {your dear son}
ashvatthaamaa Ashvatthama, {the wearer of snake-gem in the form of mind,}
vikarnashca Vikarna, {the one who criticises Duryodhan fearlessly face to face [and] has the nature
opposite to that of Dusshasan and flatterer Karna too,} and {in this world of flatterers,}
saumadattih {the one who enters Narayan of the third generation of the cool Moon of knowledge, Krishna
alias the Golden Age Narayan complete with 16 celestial degrees [and] lavishly praiseworthy
Mahatma Buddha himself} is Bhurishrava, the grandson of Somdatt. {[Taking] advance

course at AIVV is necessary for the knowledge of this fact.}
अतये च बहवः िूराः र्दथे त्यक्तजीववताः। नानािस्त्रप्रहरणाः सवे युद्धवविारदाः।। 1/9
अतये च बहवः िरूा र्दथे जीववताः और भी अनेक {कौरवपक्ष के} िरूवीर {िो त्तविेष रूप से} रे्रे लिए अपने जीवन का त्यक्त सवे नानािस्त्र- {भी मन मारकर} त्याग करने वािे {हैं}। {वे} सभी अनेक {छि-यछद्र वािे ज्ञान-अज्ञान}-िस्त्रों से प्रहरणाः यदु्धवविारदाः {मेरी मनमत से} प्रहार करने वािे {हैं तर्ा झठूी और आतताई हहसंक}-यदु्धकिा र्ें तनपणु {हैं}।
Anye ca bahavah shuuraah madarthe tyaktajiivitaah.
Naanaashastrapraharnaah sarve yuddhavishaaradaah. (Ch.1, shloka 9)
Bahvaah anye shuuraah ca
tyakta jiivitaah madarthe Many more [other] brave ones {of the Kaurav wing are} also going to
{even} sacrifice their life {after restraining their desires especially} for me.

naanaashastrapraharnaah {They} all {are} going to strike with many {deceitful} weapons {of
knowledge and ignorance
yuddhavishaaradaah according to the opinion of my mind and they are} skilled in the art of {false
and tyrannical, violent} battle.
अपयामप्तं तत ्अस्र्ाकं बिं भीष्ट्र्ालभरक्षक्षतं। पयामप्तं तु इदं एतेषां बिं भीर्ालभरक्षक्षतं।। 1/10
भीष्ट्र्ालभरक्षक्षत ंतत ्अस्र्ाकं बि ं {समाि व सरकार में महासम्प्माननीय यनवतृ्ति मागी} भीष्ट्र् से रक्षक्षत वह हर्ारी सेना अपयामप्त ंत ुइदं भीर्ालभरक्षक्षत ं अपार है, और यह {भेड़ड़ए िसेै खदसू, राक्षसी वतृ्ति के िम्प्बे-चौड़े} भीर् द्वारा रक्षक्षत एतेषां बि ंपयामप्त ं इन {पााँचों पांडु-पतु्र पांडवों} की {अल्पसखं्यक} सेना सीलर्त है। {अतः हमारी िीत यनजश्चत है।}
Aparyaaptam tat asmaakam balam bhiishmaabhirakshitam. Paryaaptam tu idam eteshaam balam bhiimaabhirakshitam. (Ch.1, shloka 10)

bhiishmaabhirakshitam That army of ours defended by Bhishma {of the path of renunciation, who is
highly respected by the society and the government}
aparyaaptam tu idam
balam eteshaam is unlimited and this army {in minority} of these {five Pandavas, the sons of
Pandu} bhiimaabhirakshitam
paryaaptam defended by {tall and well-built} Bhima {with demonic attitude and voracious
[stomach] like that of a wolf} is limited. {Hence, our victory is certain.}
अयनेषु च सवेषु यथाभागर्वजस्थताः। भीष्ट्र्र्ेवालभरक्षततु भवततः सवम एव ठह।। 1/11
च भवततः सवम एव इसलिए आप सभी िोग {िो भारतीय प्रिाततं्र राज्य के छोटे-बड़े पदाधधकारी रूप में िासक हैं,} यथाभाग ंसवेष ु स्वववभागों {ड़डपाटामेंट्स} के अनसुार, सब {पदैि-अश्व-गि-रर्ाहदक परुुषाधर्ायों रूप अधधकाररयों के} अयनेष ुअवजस्थताः ठह र्ोचों पर डटे रहकर, तनःसतदेह {िन-धन-वभैव-बाहुबि या ररश्वतखोरी द्वारा अन्याय से भी} भीष्ट्र् ंएव अलभरक्षतत ु सब ओर से भीष्ट्र् की ही रक्षा करें; {क्योंकक वोटदाता प्रिािनों में इन संन्याशसयों का बहुत मान है।}
Ayaneshu ca sarveshu yathaabhaagamavasthitaah.
Bhiishmamevaabhirakshantu bhavantah sarva eva hi. (Ch.1, shloka 11)
Ca bhavantah sarva eva This is why all of you {who are the rulers in the form of holders of small or
big posts in the Indian democratic rule,}
avasthitaah sarveshu
ayaneshu stay firm at all the positions {of officers in the form of purushaarthis* [like] foot
soldiers, [the riders of] chariot, elephants, horses etc.}
yathaabhaagam hi according to your sections, {[or] departments} [and] certainly,
abhirakshantu eva
bhiishma protect only Bhishma from all the directions {even in an unjust [way] through [the
power of] people, wealth, luxury, physical power or bribery}; {because these sanyasis
are repsected a lot among the subjects who give votes.}
तस्य सञ्जनयन ्हषं कुरुवदृ्धः वपतार्हः। लसंहनादं ववनद्य उचचैः िङ्खं दध्र्ौ प्रतापवान।्। 1/12 तस्य हष ंसजंनयन ्कुरुवदृ्धः उस {दयुोधन} को हषम उत्पतन कराते हुए, कौरवों र्ें वयोवदृ्ध, {कायरों के ब्रह्मचया में सम्प्माननीय} प्रतापवान ् वपतार्हः उचचःै ववनद्य
{व} प्रतापी र्ाने जाने वािे वपतार्ह भीष्ट्र् ने {िाउडलपीकरों की आवाज़ द्वारा ज्ञान-सयू ा के अखटू, अखडं ज्ञान-प्रकाि को ढकने वािे बादिों-िसैा} जोर से गरजकर, {हहसंक/खूखंार}

लसहंनादं {िानवरों की दयुनया में बबर} िेर-जसैी गुजंायर्ान दहाड़ र्ारते हुए, {सारी दयुनयााँ के झठेू िगद्गरुु के अपने निे में} िखं ंदध्र्ौ {आहद िकंराचाय ा कृत ‘भगवान सवाव्यापी’ की 12-14 सौ वषीय दीघ ाकािीन अज्ञानता का मखु रूपी} िखं बजाया।
Tasya sanjanayan harsham kuruvriddhah pitaamahah.
Simhanaadam vinadya uccaih shankham dadhmau prataapavaan. (Ch.1, shloka 12)

pitaamahah kuruvriddhah By giving joy to that {Duryodhan}, Pitamah Bhishma, the oldest among the
Kauravas, {respected for [maintaining] cowardly celibacy}

and unlimited light of knowledge of the Sun of Knowledge through the sounds of loudspeakers}

shankham and blew the conch {like mouth of 1200 to 1400 years long-term ignorance of ‘God is
omnipresent’ created by the first Shankaracharya
simhanaadam out of their own fasle elation of [being] the World Guru of the entire world} while giving an
echoing loud cry like a lion {in the world of violent or murderous animals}.
ततः िङ्खाश्च भेयमश्च पणवानकगोरु्खाः। सहसा एव अभ्यहतयतत स िब्दः तुरु्िः अभवत।्। 1/13 ततः िखंाश्च भेय मः तब {तो बाद में अनेक प्रकार के तुडें-2 मयतशभान्ना, छोटे-बड़े-मध्यम मखुों वािे ज्ञान}-िखं और भेररयााँ पणवानक च गोर्खुाः ढोि, नगाड़े और {िसेै ज्ञान-अज्ञान के बािे, समाचार-पत्र-पत्रत्रकाएाँ, रेड़डयो} रणलसघंा {चनैल्स आहद
मीड़डया, समाि और सरकार के िोगों की बड़ी बिुदं आवाज़ें} सहसवैाभ्यहतयतत सः तरु्िुः िब्दोऽभवत ् अचानक ही होने िगीं। उन सबका बड़ा भारी िोरगिु होने िगा।
Tatah shankhaashca bheryashca panavaanakagomukhaah.
Sahasaa eva abhyahanyanta sa shabdah tumulah abhavat. (Ch.1, shloka 13)

यावत ्अहं एतान ्तनरीके्ष जहााँ से र्ैं {अपने त्तविेष सहयोधगयों सहहत} इन {कौरवों} को तनरीक्षण कर सकूाँ {कक इस} योद्धकुार्ान ्अवजस्थतान ्कैः सह {धमा-} यदु्ध के लिए उत्सकुतापवूमक खड़े हुए ककन {सकक्रय त्तवरोधधयों} के साथ र्या अजस्र्न ्रणसर्दु्यरे् योद्धव्य ं र्झेु इस {अयंतम धमा-अधमा अर्वा सत्य-असत्य के महाभारी महाभारत} यदु्ध र्ें िड़ना है।

भीष्ट्र्द्रोणप्ररु्खतः सवेषां च र्हीक्षक्षतां। उवाच पाथम पश्य एतान ्सर्वेतान ्कुरून ्इतत।। 1/25
च भीष्ट्र्द्रोणप्रर्खुतः सवेषां र्हीक्षक्षतां इतत और भीष्ट्र्-द्रोण जसेै र्खु्य-2 सब {कौरव-पक्ष के} राजाओ ंके सार्ने ऐसे उवाच पाथम! सर्वेतान ् कहा- हे पथृ्वी के राजा पथृापतु्र अजुमन! {यहााँ सारे ससंार के कमाके्षत्ररूप कुरुके्षत्र में} एकत्र हुए एतान ्कुरून ्पश्य इन {राम के बहाने रावर्राज्य िाने वािे टेहरी-नगंि आहद योिनाओ ंके कमााशभमानी} कौरवों को देखो।

paartha pashya etaan O Arjuna, the son of Pritha, the king of the Earth! Look at these

samvetaan Kauravas {who are proud of their actions of making plans like [building] Tehri, Nangal [dams]
etc., the ones who bring about the kingdom of Ravan under the pretext of [bringing the kingdom
of] Ram}, who have gathered {here, on the battlefield in the form of the field of actions}.
तत्रापश्यजत्स्थतातपाथमः वपतॄनथ वपतार्हान।् आचायामतर्ातिुातराततॄपुत्रातपौत्रातसखींस्तथा।। 1/26 श्विुरातसुहृदश्चैव सेनयोरुभयोरवप। जस्थतान ्वपतॄन ्अथ {धमायदु्ध भशूम में} खड़े हुए वपतपृक्ष {के आसरुी धमों के बीि पवूािों} को, उसी तरह {त्तवपक्ष में खड़े} वपतार्हानाचायामतपतु्रान ्र्ातिुातरातॄन ् {भीष्ट्म िसेै} प्रवपता रूप बाबाओ ंको, ववद्वानाचायों, पतु्रों, र्ार्ाओ,ं भाइयों, पौत्रातसखीन ्श्विरुांश्च तथा सहुृदः पौत्रों, लर्त्रों, श्विरुों और उसी तरह {और भी अनेकों} सगे-सम्बजतधयों को एव उभयोः सेनयोः जस्थतान ्तत्रापश्यत ् स्पष्ट्टतः {कौरव-पांडव} दोनों सेनाओ ंके बीच जस्थत हुआ वहााँ देखा।

स कौततेयः अवजस्थतान ्तातसवामन ् वह कुतती र्ाता का पतु्र {अिुान धमा यदु्ध हेत}ु तयैार खड़े हुए उन सब {सगे-} बतधनू ्सर्ीक्ष्य परया कृपया सबंजतधयों की {भावकु ह्रदय से} सर्ीक्षा करके, {उन सबके मोह में} बड़ी दया से {परूा} आववष्ट्टो ववषीदन ्इदर्ब्रवीत ् भरा हुआ, {उनके सन्नद्ध त्तवनाि की लमयृत में} ववषाद करते हुए यह बोिा-
Taan samiikshya sa kaunteyah sarvaan bandhuun avasthitaan. (Ch.1, shloka 27)
Kripayaa parayaa aavishto vishiidan idam abraviit.

standing {ready for the religious war,}
sa kaunteyah aavishto
parayaa kripayaa that son of mother Kunti, {Arjuna} was {completely} filled with great
compassion {out of attachment to all of them} [and]
abraviit idam vishiidan {in the remembrance of their immediate destruction} he said this with sorrow:
अजुमन उवाच- दृष्ट््वा इर्र् ्स्वजनर् ्कृष्ट्ण युयुत्सुर् ्सरु्पजस्थतर्।्। 1/28 सीदजतत र्र् गात्राखण रु्खं च पररिुष्ट्यतत। वेपथुश्च िरीरे र्े रोर्हषमश्च जायते।। 1/29
कृष्ट्ण इर् ंसर्पुजस्थत ंस्वजन ं हे आकषमणर्तूम {शिवबाबा}! इन सार्ने खड़े हुए {दैहहक} सगे-सबंधंधयों को {मनमाना} ययुतु्सु ंदृष्ट््वा र्र् गात्राखण {धमा-अधमा} यदु्ध करने के लिए उत्सकु देखकर रे्रे अगं {दैहहक िगाव के कारर् परेू ही} सीदजतत च र्खु ंपररिषु्ट्यतत च रे् लिधथि हो रहे हैं और {कुछ बोिने शिए भी} र्खु अत्यतत सखू रहा है तथा {यनरािा से} रे्रे िरीरे वेपथशु्च रोर्हषमः जायते {सारे} िरीर र्ें कम्प और रोंगटे खड़े हो रहे हैं। {िसेै आत्मबि परूा ही क्षीर् हो गया है।}

Krishna drishtvaa imam
svajanam [Arjuna said:] O {Shivbaba,} the One who attracts! After seeing these
{bodily} relatives
samupasthitam yuyutsum mama
gaatraani siidanti standing in front eager to fight the war {of religion and irreligion as
per their heart’s desire}, my limbs are becoming {completely} weak ca mukham parishushyati ca me
shariire vepathushca {because of bodily attachment} and [my] mouth is drying a lot {even to
speak anything} and my {entire} body is shivering {out of despair} and
romaharshah jaayate the hairs [on my body] are standing on end. {It is just like the power of the
soul has completely reduced.}
गाण्डीव ंस्रसंते हस्तात्त्वक्चवै पररदह्यते। न च िक्नोलर् अवस्थातु ंरर्तीव च रे् र्नः।। 1/30 तनलर्त्तातन च पश्यालर् ववपरीतातन केिव। केिव गाण्डीवर् ् हे परर् ब्रह्र्ा के भी स्वार्ी {त्रत्रमयूत ा शिव बाबा}! गांडीव {नामक दैहहक परुुषार्ा का िचीिा} धनषु हस्तात ्स्रसंते च त्वक् एव {चचंि मन वािे बदु्धध रूपी} हाथ से धगरा जा रहा है तथा {अचानक बखुार आने िसैी} त्वचा भी पररदह्यते च अवस्थातु ंच {एड़ी से चोटी तक} सब ओर से दहक रही है और {इतना शिधर्ि हूाँ कक} खड़े रहने र्ें भी {िसेै} न िक्नोलर् रे् र्नः रर्तीव च अिक्त हूाँ। रे्रा {ककंकताव्यत्तवमढ़ू बना} र्न चकरा-सा रहा है और {सगे-सम्प्बजन्धयों} ववपरीतातन तनलर्त्तातन पश्यालर् {प्रयत ऐसा मोहान्धकार कक} ववपरीत {फिसचूक} िकुन-अपिकुन देख रहा हूाँ।
Gaandiivam sransate hastaattvakcaiva paridahyate.
Na ca shaknomi avasthaatum bhramatiiva ca me manah. (Ch.1, shloka 30)
Nimittaani ca pashyaami vipariitaani keshav.
Keshav gaandiivam sransate O {Trimurti Shivbaba,} even the Master of Param brahma! The Gaandiv
{named flexible} bow {of bodily purushaarth} is slipping away hastaat ca tvak eva
paridahyate ca from [my] hand {like intellect with inconstant mind} and the skin is also burning
{from head to toe} from everywhere {as if suddenly having fever} and
na shaknomi ca avasthaatum I am {so weak that it is like [I am]} feeling weak to even stand.
me manah bhramatiiva ca My mind {that has become uncertain [thinking:] what to do,} is spinning
and {there is such darkness of attachment towards the relatives that}
pashyaami nimittaani vipriitaani [I] am [fore]seeing an omen or bad omen [of] adverse {consequences}.
न च शे्रयः अनुपश्यालर् हत्वा स्वजनर् ्आहवे।। 1/31 न काङ्के्ष ववजयं कृष्ट्ण न च राजयं सुखातन च।
आहवे स्वजन ं धर्मयदु्ध र्ें {त्तवधशमायों अर्वा त्तवदेशियों में कन्वटा हुए} अपने सगे-सबंधंधयों को {बौद्ध-मजुलिमाहद हत्वा श्रेयश्च नानपुश्यालर् दैहहक गरुुओ ंमें अयनश्चय की मौत} र्ारकर {मझेु} कल्याण भी नहीं ठदखाई देता, कृष्ट्ण ववजय ंन हे कार्ाठदक ित्रओु ंकी खखचंाई कताम {शिवबाबा! मैं यनरािा महत्वाकांक्षी बन त्तवश्व-} ववजय नहीं काङ्के्ष राजय ंच सखुातन च न चाहता, {लवगीय} राजय और {त्तवष्ट्र् ुिोकीय वकुैण्ठ के अतीजन्द्रय} सखुों को भी नहीं {चाहता}।
Na ca shreyah anupashyaami hatvaa svajanam aahave. (Ch.1, shloka 31)
Na kaankshe vijayam krishna na ca raajyam sukhaani ca.

hatvaa svajanam {I} don’t see benefit in killing my relatives {who have converted to [become]
vidharmi* or videshi,
aahave ca by making them [die] the death of doubt in Buddhist, Muslim etc. bodily gurus} in the
religious war either.

vijayam O {Shivbaba,} the One who pulls enemies [like] lust etc.! {I} don’t want
victory {over the world by becoming a rare ambitious [person]}, na raajyam ca
sukhaani ca [I] don’t {want heavenly} kingdom and super sensuous joy {of the abode of Vishnu’s
vaikunth (heaven)} either.
ककर् ्नो राजयेन गोववतद ककर् ्भोगैः जीववतेन वा।। 1/32 येषार्थे काङ्क्षक्षतं नो राजयं भोगाः सुखातन च। त इर्ेऽवजस्थताः युद्धे प्राणान ् त्यक्त्वा धनातन च।। 1/33 गोववतद नो राजयेन ककं भोगवैाम हे इजतद्रयों रूपी गौओ ंके िासनकताम! हर्को राजय से क्या? {ऐसे ही} भोगों वा जीववतेन ककं येषार्थे नो राजय ं {लवार्ी} जीवन से क्या {िाभ?} {क्योंकक} जजन {सम्प्बजन्धयों} के लिए हर्ने राजय, भोगाश्च सखुातन कांक्षक्षततें इरे् प्राणान ् भोगों और सखुों को {अपना घराती समझ} चाहा है, वही ये {दशु्मन बनकर} प्राणों च धनातन त्यक्त्वा यदु्धे अवजस्थताः व धन {धाम} को त्यागकर {धमा-अधमा के त्तविाि} यदु्ध र्ें जर्कर खड़े हुए हैं।
Kim no raajyena govinda kim bhogaih jiivitena vaa. (Ch.1, shloka 32)
Yeshaamarthe kaankshitam no raajyam bhogaah sukhaani ca.
Ta imevasthitaah yuddhe praanaan tyaktvaa dhanaani ca. (Ch.1, shloka 33)
Govinda kim raajyena no O the Ruler of the cow like indriyaan! What is [the use of] kingdom to us?
kim bhogairvaa jiivitena
yeshaamarthe {Similarly,} what {is the benefit of} pleasure or {selfish} life{?} {It is
because} the {relatives} for whom
no kaankshitam raajyam
bhogaashca sukhaani te ime we have desired the kingdom, joys and happiness {considering them to
be the ones of our party (gharaati)}, they themselves
avasthitaah yuddhe tyaktvaa
praanaan ca dhanaani {have become enemies and} are standing firm in the {great} war {of
religion and irreligion} after renouncing [their] life, {home} and wealth.
आचायामः वपतरः पुत्रास्तथैव च वपतार्हाः। र्ातुिाः श्विुराः पौत्राः श्यािाः सम्बंधधनस्तथा।। 1/34 आचायामः वपतरः वपतार्हाः पतु्राः च तथा एव {कृप-} द्रोणाठद आचायम, काका, {भीष्ट्माहद} बाबाएाँ, पतु्र और उसी प्रकार र्ातिुाः श्विरुाः पौत्राः श्यािाः तथा सम्बधंधनः र्ार्ाएाँ, श्विरुगण, पौत्र, सािे और {अनेक तरह के} सबंधंी {भी हैं}।
Aacaaryaah pitarah putraastathaiva ca pitaamahaah.
Maatulaah shvashuraah pautraah shyaalaah sambandhinastathaa. (Ch.1, shloka 34)
Aacaaryaah pitarah putraah
pitaamahaah ca tathaa eva {There are} teachers [like] {Krip[acharya],} Drona etc., paternal
uncles, sons, babas {[like] Bhishma etc.} and in the same way
maatulaah shvashuraah pautraah
shyaalaah tathaa sambandhinah maternal uncles, fathers-in-law, grandsons, brothers-in-law and
{different kinds of} relatives {too}.
एतान ्न हततुलर्चछालर् घ्नतोऽवप र्धुसूदन। अवप तै्रिोक्यराजयस्य हेतोः ककं नु र्हीकृते।। 1/35
र्धसुदून {हम िैसे और सभी िोगों के शिए} र्धु जैसे र्ीिे कार् ववकार रूपी दैत्य को र्ारने वािे हे कार्हतता {शिवबाबा! मझु पर} घ्नतः अवप र्हीकृते न ुककं वार करते हुए भी {मैं समझता हूाँ कक मेरे हैं और मेरे ही रहेंगे; अतः} पथृ्वी के लिए तो क्या, त्रिैोक्यराजयस्य हेतोः अवप {वलततुः मेरे में इनके शिए ऐसा प्यार भरा है कक} त्रत्रिोकी के राजय के लिए भी {मैं} एतान ्हततु ंन इचछालर् इतहें {अपने-2 धमात्तपताओ ंमें अयनश्चय की मौत} र्ारना नहीं चाहता। {है ना देहदृजष्ट्ट का कमाि?}
Etaan na hantumicchaami ghnatopi madhusuudana.
Api trailokyaraajyasya hetoh kim nu mahiikrite. (Ch.1, shloka 35)
Madhusuudana O {Shivbaba,} the Killer of lust, the One who kills the demon in the form of lust
as sweet as honey {to everyone else like us}! api ghnatah kim nu
mahiikrite Even if [they] attack {me, I consider that [they] are mine and will just be mine;
so,} leave aside the Earth, {in fact, I have so much love filled for them in me that}
na icchaami hantum etaan {I} don’t want to kill them {[i.e. make them die] the death of [having]
doubt in their respective religious fathers}

hetoh trailokyaraajyasya api for the rule over the three worlds either. {It is the wonder of body
[conscious] vision, isn’t it?}
तनहत्य धातमराष्ट्रातनः का प्रीततः स्यात ्जनादमन। पापं एव आश्रयेत ्अस्र्ान ्हत्वा एतान ्आततातयनः।। 1/36
जनादमन हे {आिानाद करने वािे} र्नषु्ट्यों द्वारा {दःुखों से मजुक्त के शिए कल्पांत में त्तविेष} प्राथमनीय र्कु्तेश्वर! धातमराष्ट्रान ्तनहत्य नः का {प्रिाततं्र के पूिंीवादी} धतृराष्ट्र के {कांव-2 कताा कौरव} पतु्रों को र्ारकर {भी} हर्ें क्या प्रीततः स्यादेतानाततातयनः {त्तविेष} सखु होगा? इन {बेसमझ और बच्चाबदु्धध} आततातययों को {िान-माि से} हत्वा अस्र्ान ्पापरे्वाश्रयेत ् र्ारकर {तो} हर्को पाप ही िगेगा; {क्योंकक ‘क्षमा बड़ों को चाहहए, छोटन को अपराध’।....}
Nihatya dhaartaraashtraannah kaa priitih syaat janaardana.
Paapam eva aashrayet asmaan hatvaa etaan aatataayinah. (Ch.1, shloka 36)
Janaardana O Mukteshwar, [i.e.] the One who is {especially} worshipped {in the end of the kalpa for
liberation from sorrow} by human beings {who cry out in distress}! kaa priitih nah syaat
nihatya dhaartaraashtraan What {special} happiness will we obtain {even} by killing {the Kauravas
who caw,} [i.e.] the sons of Dhritarashtra, {the capitalist of democracy}?
asmaan eva aashrayet paapam hatvaa {In fact,} we will just accumulate sin by killing

aatataayinah these tyrants {who are ignorant and have a child-like intellect, from [their] life and property}; {because
[it is said:] ‘the elders are supposed to forgive [and] the youngsters are supposed to make mistakes.’...}
तस्र्ात ्न अहामः वयं हततंु धातमराष्ट्रान ्स्वबातधवान।् स्वजनं ठह कथं हत्वा सुखखनः स्यार् र्ाधव।। 1/37
तस्र्ात ्स्वबातधवान ् अतः {त्तवधशमायों-त्तवदेशियों में कन्वहटाड} अपने {ही बीि व आधारमतूा दैवी िन्मों के} सबंधंधयों, धातमराष्ट्रान ् हततु ं वय ंनाहामः ठह स्वजन ंहत्वा
{िो राष्ट्र की सारी धन-सपंत्ति धर बठेै हैं, ऐसे} पूाँजीपतत धतृराष्ट्रों के पतु्रों को र्ारना हर्ें योग्य नहीं; क्योंकक भाई-2 बने स्वजनों को र्ारकर
र्ाधव कथ ंसखुखनः स्यार् हे र्ाता पावमती-पतत बाबा! {धमात्तपताओ ंमें इनके अयनश्चय की मौत पर हम} कैसे सखुी होंगे?
Tasmaat na arhaah vayam hantum dhaartaraashtraan svabaandhavaan.
Svajanam hi katham hatvaa sukhinah syaama maadhava. (Ch.1, shloka 37)

arhaah vayam hi maadhava the sons of the capitalist Dhritarashtras {who have seized the entire wealth
and property of the nation}doesn’t befit us; because O Baba, the Husband
of mother Parvati!
hatvaa svajanam katham
syaama sukhinah By killing our relatives who have become [our] brothers, how will {we} be
happy {in their death of having doubt in the religious fathers}?
यद्यवप एते न पश्यजतत िोभोपहतचतेसः। कुिक्षयकृतं दोषं लर्त्रद्रोहे च पातकं।। 1/38
यद्यवप िोभोपहतचेतसः यद्यवप {त्तवदेिी िोन से प्राप्त हुए राज्य-धनाहद के} िोभ से नष्ट्ट हुए {शभखारी} धचत्त वािे एते कुिक्षयकृत ंदोष ंच ये {त्तवदेशियों की हहसंा व व्यशभचार से धमाभ्रष्ट्ट बने हुए िोग} कुि के नाि का दोष और लर्त्रद्रोहे पातकं न पश्यजतत {अपने} लर्त्रों से {भी} द्रोह करने र्ें पाप नहीं देखते हैं, {तो भी आधे-परेू नाजलतकों के}
Yadyapi ete na pashyanti lobhopahatacetasah.
Kulakshayakritam dosham mitradrohe ca paatakam. (Ch.1, shloka 38)
Yadyapi ete
lobhopahatacetasah Though these {people who have become corrupt in religion because of the violence
and adulteration of videshis,} the ones with {beggary} heart that has destroyed
because of the greed
na pashyanti dosham {of kingdom, wealth etc. obtained through loans from foreign [countries]} don’t
consider the guilt

mitradrohe paatakam of destruction of the clan and having enmity {even} towards {their} friends to

अस्र्ात ्पापात ्जनादमन अस्र्ालभः इस {ससंार में होने वािे महाभारी महात्तवनाि के} पाप से हे जनादमन! हर् {सब}

Janaardana katham na asmaabhih
gyeyem nivartitum O Janaardan! Why shouldn’t we {all} think {over this useless fight}
to withdraw [ourselves] paapaat asmaat
prapashyadbhih from the sin {of massive great destruction that is going to take place in} this {world
of partial or complete atheists}; {because we} people are clearly seeing
dosham kulakshayakritam the {immediate} sin that will be committed because of the destruction of
the clan {connected to all the residents of Bharat}.
कुिक्षये प्रणश्यजतत कुिधर्ामः सनातनाः। धर्े नष्ट्टे कुिं कृत्स्नं अधर्मः अलभभवतत उत।।1/40
कुिक्षये सनातनाः कुिधर्ामः {भारतीय} कुि नाि होने पर {परम्प्परागत} सनातन कुि की {समचूी अव्यशभचारी} धारणाएाँ प्रणश्यजतत धरे् नष्ट्टे अधर्मः उत नष्ट्ट हो जाती हैं। धर्म-नाि होने पर {मजुलिम, इसाई आहद} ववपरीत धर्म भी कृत्स्नर् ्कुि ंअलभभवतत सर्स्त कुि को {अत्याधधक हमिे करते हुए हहसंा और व्यशभचार दोष से} दबा िेते हैं।
Kulakshaye pranashyanti kuladharmaah sanaatanaah.
Dharme nashte kulam kritsnam adharmah abhibhavati uta. (Ch.1, shloka 40)

sanaatanaah When the {Indian} clan is destroyed, {completely unadulterated [and] traditional} dhaaranaas of the ancient clan

adharmah uta are destroyed. When the religion is destroyed, those belonging to opposite
religions {[like] Muslim, Christian etc.} too
abhibhavati kritsnam kulam suppress the entire clan {through the sins of violence and adultery by
attacking a lot}.
अधर्ामलभभवात ् कृष्ट्ण प्रदुष्ट्यजतत कुिजस्त्रयः। स्त्रीषु दुष्ट्टासु वाष्ट्णेय जायते वणमसङ्करः।। 1/41 कृष्ट्ण अधर्ामलभभवात ् हे ववकारी-ठहसंक असरुों को खींचने वािे {बाबा}! {लिामी-कक्रजश्चयनाहद} अधर्ों के फैिने से कुिजस्त्रयः प्रदषु्ट्यजतत कुि की {सती-साध्वी} जस्त्रयााँ {दैहहक सगं का रंग िगने कारर् महाव्यशभचार से} दवूषत हो जाती हैं। स्त्रीष ुदषु्ट्टास ुवाष्ट्णेय वणमसकंरः जायते
{भारतीय} जस्त्रयों के दवूषत होने पर {LON+DAN के हदखावटी ज्ञान-बरसात कताा} हे वाष्ट्णेय! {धमाभ्रष्ट्ट – विंी योरोपवासी यादवों की पदैाइि से} व्यलभचारी प्रजा उत्पतन होती {रहती} है।
Adharmaabhibhavaat krishna pradushyanti kulastriyah.
Striishu dushtaasu vaarshneya jaayate varnasankarah. (Ch.1, shloka 41)
Krishna
adharmaabhibhavaat O {Baba,} the One who attracts vicious and violent demons! Because of the spread of irreligions (adharma) {[like] Islam, Christian and so on}

pradushyanti the {faithful and devoted} women of the clan are polluted10 {through great
adultery because of being coloured by bodily company}.

When the {Indian} women are polluted, O Vaarshneya, {the one who showers the
artificial rain of knowledge of LON+DAN11 (London)}! Adulterated subjects are born
{in succession through the creation of Yadavas, the residents of Europre, the
descendants who are corrupt in religion}.
सङ्करो नरकायैव कुिघ्नानां कुिस्य च। पतजतत वपतरो ठह एषां िुप्तवपण्डोदककक्रयाः।। 1/42
सकंरो कुिस्य च कुिघ्नानां नरकायवै {पितुलु्य} वणमसकंर प्रजा कुि की और कुिनािकों की दगु मतत हेत ुही {होती है}, ठह एषां वपतरः क्योंकक इनके {कल्पान्त कािीन परुानी दयुनया के ऊाँ मण्डिी वािे रुद्राक्ष रूप ससंारबीि/पवूाि} वपतगृण {भी} िपु्तवपण्डोदककक्रयाः पतजतत {बड़ों प्रयत} श्रद्धाभाव की कक्रया के िपु्त होने से {महागरीब पररवारों में} अधोगतत पाते हैं।

Patanti pitaro hyeshaam luptapindodakakriyaahaa. (Ch.1, shloka 42)

दोषैः एतैः कुिघ्नानां वणमसङ्करकारकैः। उत्साद्यतते जाततधर्ामः कुिधर्ामश्च िाश्वताः।। 1/43
कुिघ्नानां एतःै वणमसकंरकारकैः {आयासमाजियों िसेै धमापररवतान के लवभावी} कुिनािकों के इन वणमसकंरकारी {महात्तवनािकारी} दोषःै जाततधर्ामः च िाश्वताः दोषों से जातत-धर्म {िसैी ‘चातवुाण्य ंमया सषृ्ट्टम’्, वािी श्रेष्ट्ठ परम्प्पराएाँ} और स्थायी क�
