METHOD STATEMENT

ESTOP SEALPROOFCrystallization Penetrating Aids and Waterproofing systemAPPLICATION TO SHOWER WALL1.0 SURFACE PREPARATION (by Main Contractor)Floors And Walls

a. The surface to receive Estop Sealproof waterproofing coating shall be structurally sound, and have a smooth finish to the wall surface.

b. The surface shall be dried, clean, smooth and even, free of ridges and hollows.c. The surface shall be able to absorb water and absorb Estop Sealproof. Surface may be wet, moist or dry, but not having puddles or running water.d. All cracks, hollows, honeycombs, spalled areas, seepages and dampness shall be made good and all tie-wires and steel reinforcement shall be cut to at least 12mm depth and patched with REPAIR MORTAR.

2.0(A) APPLICATION METHOD

The laying of Estop Sealproof shall be applied strictly in accordance with the

manufacturer's instruction.

2.0(B) MIXING

Mix Estop Sealproof thoroughly before applying by roller, brush or hand-pump type

garden spray.2.0(C) APPLICATION

i. Damp the surface prior application of Estop Sealproof to allow its penetration.

ii. 2 coats are required for waterproofing.

iii. Evenly distribute one coat of Estop Sealproof at 5m2/litre by using roller.iv. Flush the waterproofing system with plenty of water for curing and remove excess Estop Sealproof.

v. Follow by apply second coat of Estop Sealproof at 5m2/ litre and flush with plenty of water .

2.0(D) CURINGFor optimum performance, Estop Sealproof should be allowed to cure for seven days

and curing this time precautions must be taken to prevent damage to the coating.
