The company is resident at the Bordeaux Circus Scho-ol since 2011.The productions of the company Bivouac mix drama, dance, circus technics and light and music composi-tions to serve a story line. The scenography is created to give the illusion of an alive sculpture.

A dreamlike decor leading us to reverie. A lyric singer as a figurehead and a bird softly calling Erica towards an imaginary world. They invite her to an initiation trip where the girl makes strange discoveries. These apparitions make her emotion vibrate, the rythm gets faster... Erica is now hooked to red enchanted dance shoes.… A poetic and magical trip, a hymn of joy and freedom…

With “Le rêve d’Erica” we explore the hopes and dreams of a young girl, from strange magic and dark desires to a strongly passionate persona-lity.Just like “Alice in Wonderland”, we create magi-cal characters that lead us to explore a range of bodily expressions and a variety of emotions. Erica investigates with us her unusual desires in an extraordinary world. From this experience, she will grow up and be freed from her fears.The music, scenography, costumes and lighting emphasize the dreamlike and poetic nature of the show. The flying rope, the Chinese pole, the horse acrobatics are classic circus moves used to tell the story.

MAUREEN BROWNAuthor, scenographer, circus artist

Maureen was trained in applied arts in the Ecole Nationale supérieure des Arts Appliqués et des Métiersd’Arts de Paris (ENSAAMA - Olivier de Serre) specializingin sculptures. Simultaneously, she trained circustechnics at the Arènes de Naterre with Michel Nowak.She then focused her work on innovative scenographies,construction connected to applied arts andtowards interpretations mixing power and naturalforces.She creates moving hugh sculptures and screenplaysfor the Cie Bivouac. She builds set models, follows theconstruction sites, draws and constructs the accessories,designs the costumes and plays a role in eachproject.

MARYKA HASSIAuthor, director

Trained at the Théâtre Ecole d’Aquitaine, she perfor-med many roles in contemporary and classical pieces.Then she embarrassed directing and started producingthe shows of the Bivouac cie.Her creations are built as a series of pictural frames.They use instinct above all literary logic.It is a form of bodily and esthetic ritual that enablesan awakening and a connection to the world for thespectators.

BENJAMIN LISSARDYAuthor, circus artist (Chinese pole), comedian

Benjamin is a physical comedian and performs onChinese masts.He was trained at the Théâtre Ecole d’Aquitaine wherehe performed many theater roles. He then specializedin clown acting and Chinese mast and got noticedby Ariane Mnouchkine during an internship at theThéâtre du Soleil.Then, he played for the Cie Acronote and participatedin several Chinese mast performances, notably withMourad Merzouki.He plays the solo role in the show Translations andperforms in the Rêve d’Erica and A corps perdus.
