Obedience entries close at 9:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 18, 2011 or when an Obedience

Judge’s assignment has reached seven (7) hours of judging, based on the formula of 8

Novice, 7 Open and 6 Utility dogs per hour, whichever comes first.

Bitches in season are not permitted to compete. W here a bitch comes in to season after

entry of the bitch has been submitted to the Trial Secretary and a Veteranarian’s

certificate that the bitch was in season within the ten-day period preceding the trial is

delivered to or reaches the Trial Secretary before the date of the trial, the Trial-giving

Club will refund entry, service charges and listing fees. / Les femelles en chaleur ne sont

There will be an “In Transit’ area for dogs which are either en route to or from other

shows. No dog may be placed in this area if it is entered at the show. Only dogs that

are registered or eligible to be shown under CKC Rules can use the “In Transit area.

Owners or Agents who wish to use this facility, please see the Show Superintendent

upon arrival at the show.

published in the Catalogue. Classes offered will be: Pee W ee, Junior Novice, Junior Open,

awarded to first place in each category. Rosettes for all placements. PeeWee non

competing. Best Overall Junior will receive a prize and a rosette.

CHAM PIONS & CHAM PIONSHIP POINTS

SECTION 1: A dog awarded W INNERS at a cham pionship show held under these Dog Show Rules shall be

credited with a num ber of championship points (ranging from 0 to 5) and the determ ination of the number of

cham pionship points to be credited to a dog awarded W INNERS shall be as provided hereunder.

SECTION 2: The schedule to be em ployed in the determ ination of the number of points to be allocated a dog

awarded W INNERS shall be as follows:

To determ ine the num bers of cham pionship points earned by a dog awarded W INNERS total all the dogs in

com petition which the dog defeated, directly or indirectly, for the highest of the following official breed awards:

above. The new system provides for additional points (provided that the dog has defeated another as listed

hereunder:

A class dog awarded Best In Show at an all-breed cham pionship show w ill be credited with five points

THE DAY OF THE SHOW

1. The person accompanying the dog MUST show the identification card before the dog

is allowed on the Show premises. The ID card will serve as admission ticket. PLEASE

MAINTAIN FOR DURATION OF THE SHOW .

2. All dogs MUST be exercised in the exercise rings provided for that purpose. Private

exercise pens w ill be allowed if space permits. Exhibitors may be asked to remove

private pens during show hours.

3. The Show Committee will use due care and diligence for the welfare of the dogs and

the exhibitors but will not be responsible for, or assume any liability in the event of

an accident of other misfortune to either dogs or exhibitors or patrons. If, because

of riot, civil disturbance or other acts beyond the control of the management, it is

impossible to open or to complete the show, no refund of entry fees will be made.

4. THERE WILL BE NO INDIVIDUAL DOGS CALLED TO THE RING BY LOUD SPEAKER.

Times on the judging schedule will be broken down hourly into individual breeds. Extra

copies will be available at the show Secretary’s table. It is up to the exhibitor to have

his dogs at ringside at the specified time. Delays waiting for dogs will not be possible;

handlers with several breeds must arrange for alternate handlers if judging times

conflict.

GENERAL

1. Only dogs which are already registered in the Canadian Kennel Club Stud Book, or are

eligible for such registration, can be entered.

2. To comply with instructions issued by the Canadian Kennel Club, we will be unable to

accept any entry reaching our Show Secretary after the official closing date published

in this Premium List.

3. No entry will be accepted unless all particulars called for on the entry form are shown

theron. INCOMPLETE ENTRIES W ILL BE RETURNED.

4. NO ENTRY WILL BE ACCEPTED UNLESS ACCOMPANIED BY ENTRY FEES.

5. TELEPHONE AND TELEGRAPH ENTRIES CANNOT BE ACCEPTED.

6. Exhibitors must abide by errors made in entering thier dogs regardless of how or by

whom the entries were made.

7. U.K.C. reserves the right to refuse any entry, subject to C.K.C.Dog Show Rules

8. The Show Superintendent will be in full charge of the show which will be governed by

C.K.C. Rules.

9. Identification Cards and Judging Schedules will be mailed as soon as possible after

entries close. Should these not be received by the exhibitor within a reasonable time,

please notify the Show Secretary.

10. Dogs need only arrive 15 minutes before scheduled judging time. It is the

responsibility of the exhibitor to have the dog in the ring when the dog’s class is

scheduled for judging.

11. Dogs will not be required to pass veterinary inspection.

12. Since the Club is not responsible for the pictures taken by the Show Photographer,

please direct any communication regarding photographs to the photographer.

ATTENTION ALL FOREIGN EXHIBITORS

To obtain an ERN simply do the following:

- Send a photocopy of the dog's registration certificate reflecting current ownership - with a

written request for an ERN.

- Inc lude full payment in the amount of $57.75. Accounts may be paid with personal or business

cheque, money order, V isa or Mastercard. For Non-Members please note that if paying by cheque,

the cheque must be certified. Non-residents of Canada please note that discounted cheques or

money orders will not be accepted due to fluctuating currency rates.

- Provide us with your full return address.

- Faxed requests will be accepted. Please include your VISA/MasterCard number, expiry date,

cardholder's name and signature.

- An ERN must be obtained within 30 day of obtaining points, awards or scores to avoid cancellation.

If factors beyond your control prohibits this or presents a problem, please send a written request

for a 30 day extension.

It shall be the duty and obligation of the show giving club to see that a judge, club official, volunteer,

or any participant at an event is not subject to indignities. The Conformation Show Committee Chair

shall promptly report to the CKC any infringement of this regulation, and the Discipline Committee shall

have the authority to take such action as it deems fit on receipt of a report indicating that this has

occurred. (See Section 19.7)

NON-MEMBER PARTICIPATION FEE

< An annual non-member participation fee for awards and titles will be charged to a

Canadian non-member of CKC. The fee will match the ERN fee.

< In order to protect the awards/titles earned, the non-member w ill have a choice either

to become a CKC member or to pay the non-member participation fee. Failure to

comply w ithin 30 days of notification w ill cause all awards and titles to be cancelled.

< These fees apply only to dogs w holly owned by non-CKC members and are not

applicable to CKC members.”

< Les Canadiens qui ne sont pas membres du CCC doivent payer un droit de

participation annuel pour non-membre pour tout prix et titre. Le droit sera le même

devenir membre du CCC, soit de payer le droit de participation pour non-membre. Le

l’annulation de tous les prix et les titres obtenus.
