How does the SSS work?

► When does the strategy work?▫ Only join a table with at least seven players. ▫ As soon as you have less than seven opponents you should leave the

table. ▫ If more than two of your opponents are using the SSS you should also

leave the table.

► Bankroll management determines…▫ …the minimum amount of money you need to play at a particular

limit.▫ …how much money you take to a table.▫ …when to buy more chips, as soon as your chip stack has dropped

below a particular level. ▫ …the amount of profit you can make before you should leave the

table.

► Examples You start at NL10 with your starting capital. As soon as you‘ve earned $120, you can move up to NL20. If you join a NL10 table, then always make a buy-in of $2. If your chip stack

drops to below $1.50, then you should buy more chips. If you have more than $2.50, leave the table.

Entering the game

► When to enter the game▫ Wait until the big blind gets around to you before placing your bet.▫ Most providers’ software have a “Wait for Big Blind” option that you

can use.

► To recap:▫ You need to have at least seven opponents at the table.▫ You start off with $50+$100 starting capital at NL10.▫ How much money you need to make a buy-in at a table, when to buy

more chips and when to leave the table again. ▫ Never post the big blind out of turn, just so that you can enter the

game earlier.
