Prolamsa was founded in 1954. We sell metalbuilding components and shapes, high-qualitymechanical and structural steel tubing, and partsand components throughout North America.Prolamsa’s metal building components andshapes are produced with commercial quality andhigh-strength steel (55,000 psi minimum yield)and are manufactured to ASTM A1011, G-50 andLGSI standards. PROLAMSA offers a complete line of structural shapes, formed using high strength steel, ASTM A1011 (55,000 ksi), finished witha baked-on red oxide primer finish or G-90 galvanized finish.
Substructural components from PROLAMSA are manufactured in Light Gage Structural Institute (LGSI) sections. LGSI sectionshave been found to have numerous advantages, including greater ease of installation. Consult the LGSI technical manual for properproduct application.
All standard structural shapes (except eave struts, hats and girts) are roll-formed to ensure a maximum quality finished product. Standard web and flange punching are available upon request. Custom punching is another feature that PROLAMSA provides.
PROLAMSA produces many open shapes and sizes that can be manufactured to your design specifications.
NOTES: Red oxide components are painted with primers designed for short-term field protection during the erection process. Handlingscratches and abrasions are common and will rust if not touched up promptly
