Holiday Clubs and Activities

Special Schools: If your child attends a special school in Ealing contact your child’s school for details of the playscheme they are running this summer.

Core Children’s Services Provide a summer activity club for children and young people aged 11 to18 offering a wide range of activities in a safe and stimulating environment. The activities are designed to allow young people to have fun, build confidence and make new friends. Autism Summer Club A specialist short breaks holiday club for children and young people aged 11 to 18 with ASD and other additional needs will run this summer offering : fun packed activity days and trips ranging from art and crafts, cooking to sports days Dates: 12, 13, 19, 20 and 26 and 27th August plus additional day trips

Log Cabin Hosts an after school club, Saturday club (term time only) and a holiday club for children aged 4-15 with a range of additional needs and complex health needs. The range of support available ranges from 1:1 and 1:5, depending on level of need. Summer 2014 Weekly fun activities, sport and trips Monday to Friday 9.30am – 3.30pm during school holidays Venue: The Log Cabin, 259 Northfield Avenue, W5 4UA

Log Cabin Youth club 16-18 Log Cabin are running a youth club over 8 days in the summer holiday for young people aged 16-18. An exciting 8 days of adventures and activities is promised! Venue: Westside Youth Centre, Churchfield Road, W13 9NF

MENCAP Youth Club: Provides a play /social activity service that runs outside of school time for children and young people aged 14-20 with disabilities. The service provides a specialist person centred approach for children and young people. Summer 2014 Tuesday 29th July – Yoga, cookery, Zumba healthy living Wednesday 30th July – Nature trip reserve trip – exploring the outdoors Tuesday 19th August – Drama workshops, games and DJ workshops Wednesday 20th August – Inspire ME – thinking about volunteering, self-advocacy, speaking up and making plan Venue: Enterprise Lodge, Stockdove Way, Perivale, Middlesex, UB6 8TJ Cost: £5 per session, payable in advance to reserve a place. Future Youth Inspired - a massive range of free, fun and inspirational

courses over the summer holiday’s for young people aged 13-19 years,

and up to 25 years for those with additional needs from photography,

Ealing Play Service

Ealing has a wide range of play opportunities running throughout the year and summer, ranging from holiday play schemes to exciting day trips and activities. Ealing Council’s Play Service department works and funds out of school providers, After School Clubs and Holiday play schems to make them inclusive to all. They pay the additional costs of a staff member required for personal assistance/1:1 care and costs of any specialist equipment needed in order to meet your child’s needs.) This way the provider doesn’t incur additional costs and parents/carers only pay the standard childcare fees, the same as everyone else. .

P.E.S.T.S. Family day trips and fun days for the whole family with support from PEST workers to ensure the whole family can enjoy the day Family Summer Party – 26th July 2-4pm - Bouncy Castle, children’s entertainment including Mowakie the Clown and Magical Micky for the whole family. A well-travelled lady captivates her audience with stories she has gathered on her journeys around the world, from Yorkshire, through Poland and on to Peru! Using only the contents of her suitcase she creates landscapes of mountains and jungles, costumes for shepherds and kings and finds unique ways to bring characters to life. The children become a part of the story by helping our teller to create waves of water, make the sound of an army, hide away their dancing fairies and organise

a troop of monkeys.

Be Active in Ealing - Disability Sports across the Borough

The Council’s Active Ealing team works with community partners to promote a wide range of sport and physical activity opportunities to local people and encourages people to live a healthy, active lifestyle.

Leisure Pass - offers holders discounts of up to 50% for adults and 33% for young people on leisure activities in the borough. Eligibility criteria apply.

Sports Clubs - over 100 sports clubs are based in Ealing ranging from Angling to Weightlifting, for adults and juniors, take a look at the list on our website.

On Your Marks - a disability sports project offering sport and physical activity days for people with disabilities and additional needs aged 16+, including swimming, exercise and fitness, table tennis and multi-sports.
