The Guatemalan Chamber of Industry is a non political, non profit association, that was duly incorporated in 1,959. Our vision is to transform Guatemala through
industrialization into a modern, productive and competitive country in a globalized world

1. Promote and defend the Guatemalan industrial sector in every aspect.
2. Promote competitiveness and sustainable development of industries through the supply of services such as:
a. Training seminars and workshops
b. Conflict solution services through the “Conflict Resolution Comission –CREGIG-
c. Legal consulting and international trade consulting in topics such as: market access, customs, country of origin marking, etc.
d. Economic incentives (partial subsidies) to small and medium size enterprises, for employee training and technical assistance.
e. Collective trade fair and trade mission participation, one stop window for exports and international market research services to support the export of Guatemalan manufactured goods.
f. Consulting on technical barriers to trade, norms and standards.
g. Evaluation and implementation of Cleaner Production solutions for industries.
h. Represent the industrial sector in different international negotiations aiming to achieve the greatest benefit for our members.
i. Support the development of Trade Associations within the industrial sector.
j. Search for international cooperation for technical and financial assistance to our members
k. Strengthen comunication with our members through our: Magazine, E-Bulletin, etc.
l. Implement social responsibility projects in cooperation with United Way International.

2. There are 800 enterprises between large, middle and small size.
3. The sector generates about 25,000 direct jobs.4. About 33 large factories provide raw materials,
which generate more than 500 jobs.5. Actually, with the help of new trade agreements, the
growth rate have increased more than 25%
