Noto Railway “Noto-Satoyama-Satoumi-Go Train” (Service scheduled for April 4th 2015)

The train has been designed in the style of Ishikawa’s traditional Wajima Lacquerware and Kaga Yuzen arts. Go on a journey to rediscover the tradition and beauty of Japan.

Hanayome-Noren is a colourful Noren curtain that wishes happiness to beloved daughters when they get married and this tradition started over 150 years ago. Every year in May, Nanao City’s Ipponsugi Street holds an event like no other in Japan in which the street is decorated with a hundred Hanayome-Noren curtains hanging from shops and homes
