    From Midnight shift June 23, 2011 through Midnight shift on June 24, 2011.

    ACTIVITY INFORMATION

    LARCENY 11-29214

    On 6/23/2011 deputies assigned to Scio Twp were called to the 3000 block of Jackson Rd for the complaint of stolen

    manhole covers. Investigators determined the theft occurred from a commercial property sometime on 6/23/2011.

    Deputies are currently working to identify suspects. No further information was available at the time of this posting.The case remains open.

    HOME INVASION 11-29241

    Deputies patrolling Scio Twp responded to a residential burglary complaint on 6/23/2011, at approximately 6:00PM.

    The homeowner told deputies that they were gone from their home during the day. Upon returning to their home in

    the late afternoon, they discovered that their home had been broken into. Entry to the home was gained through a

    garage attached to the house. The victims reported that the home was ransacked and multiple items were stolen.

    The incident occurred sometime between the early morning and late afternoon of 6/23/2011. No arrests have been

    made at the time of this report. The case remains under investigation by area deputies.

    1 silver ring 1 brown mink coat 1 laptop PC

    HOME INVASION 11-29252

    Deputies assigned to Ypsilanti Twp were called to the 1200 block of Parkwood Ave for the complaint of a burglary.

    Police were contacted on 6/23/2011, at about 6:30PM. The victim told investigators that they were gone from the

    home during the day. They returned home late afternoon to discover the home had been broken into. Multiple items

    were reported stolen. Entry was gained through a ground floor window. No suspect information was available at

    the time of this posting. The incident remains under investigation.

    Stolen Property: 2 flat screen TVs 1 .45cal handgun 1 pellet rifle 1 Dewalt drill Unknown quantity of cash 1 pair of shoes

    WEAPONS OFFENSE ARREST 11-29267

    Deputies assigned to the Community Policing Unit in Superior Twp arrested an individual for possession of an

    illegal firearm on 6/23/2011, at about 8:00PM. The deputies were searching a vehicle for contraband in the area of

    Autumn Woods Dr and Clark Rd when a sawed off shotgun was discovered inside of the suspects vehicle. The

    suspect was taken into custody without incident. A copy of the investigators report will be forwarded to the

    Prosecutors Office for review.

    DRUNK DRIVING ARREST 11-29277

    Deputies patrolling Ypsilanti Twp arrested a suspected drunk driver on 6/23/2011, at about 10:00PM. The deputies

    were conducting traffic enforcement in the area of Ridge Rd and Holmes Rd when the suspects vehicle was stopped

    for a traffic violation. Deputies determined the suspect was driving under the influence of alcohol. The suspect was

    taken into custody without incident. A copy of the police report will be forwarded to the Prosecutors Office forreview.
