Work at onshore drilling and work over rigs rented by Dana Gas Petroleum Company

Responsibilities / Accomplishments

carrying out risk assessments and considering how risks could be reduced;

outlining safe operational procedures which identify and take account of all relevant hazards;

carrying out regular site inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly

implemented;

making changes to working practices that are safe and comply with legislation;

preparing health and safety strategies and developing internal policy;

leading in-house training with managers and employees about health and safety issues and risks;

keeping records of inspection findings and producing reports that suggest improvements;

Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive

maintenance techniques for the safety critical equipment and monitoring compliance.

Ensure that all Safety critical equipment (fire systems, HVAC systems, gas detection

system ….ETC are working properly and in good condition.

Prepares Preventive maintenance reports with maintenance supervisor by collecting,

Rig Safety Engineer Responsibilities / Accomplishments: Issue work Permits and risk assessments

Hold a weekly emergency drills (fire, H2S, Abandon).

Following up rig acceptance requirements and pre-spud checklists.

Rigging, slinging and lifting, preparing and maintaining lifting registers and liaising with

third parties inspectors.

Assists with the development of procedures regarding emergency management response

planning and workplace safety.
