Sheba Mosquito Netting - Angola

Sheba Commercio constructed a factory for the manufacturing of mosquito nets in Luanda, Angola. The factory is in concept a copy from a similar plant built in Thailand. Chuchawal Royal Haskoning did the detailed design of the plant and provided the procurement of steel structures and architectural materials in Thailand for shipment to Angola.

ESHIA and EIA preparation for Chevron Thailand Shore Base Project

Chevron Thailand operates gas and oil platforms in the Gulf of Thailand. These platforms are currently serviced by two shore bases. Due to insufficient capacity and limited possibilities of both bases to extend their capabilities at the current location, Chevron intends to concentrate their shore base activities into one new shore base. Chuchawal Royal Haskoning, in cooperation with SEATEC was appointed to prepare Environmental, Safety and Health Impact Assessment (ESHIA) according to Chevron standards and the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) according to Thai regulations for the new Chevron Thailand Shore Base. General scope of works includes:

- project scoping and TOR preparation to ONEP - stakeholder engagement - site selection - design selection - environmental baseline surveys - modeling of air, noise, marine impacts - impacts assessment for environmental, social and health aspects - development of mitigation measures - support during EIA approval process (from ONEP)

Lens Production Plant

Essilor is expanding a new lens production plant in Amata Nakorn Industrial Estate, Chonburi. The Water and Environment Department of Chuchawal Royal Haskoning was appointed to prepare a conceptual and detailed designs for 720-m3/d wastewater treatment and connecting collection systems. A chemical treatment process was proposed based on results of a jar test carried out in order to ensure the treatment possibility. The treatment system consists of an equalization tank and coagulation/flocculation tanks followed by a clarifier. The effluent will flow to the central wastewater treatment plant of Amata Nakorn Industrial Estate and complies with the regulations. In 2008 the proposed design was implemented.

Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production Limited (CTEP) is one of the world’s leading energy companies. CTEP currently supports the Gulf of Thailand Operations out of two separate heliports; in Songkhla and Amphur Sattahip in Chonburi provinces. The selected site for new heliport is located in Nakorn Sri Thammarat Commercial Airport (NST Airport). Chevron Aviation Consolidation Water and Wastewater Management

The aviation facilities are foreseen to be used for helicopters used by Chevron to transport cargo and passengers to and from the oil drilling and production facilities in the Gulf of Thailand. Chuchawal Royal Haskoning provided conceptual design services for water and wastewater management in the project area. Water in the project area is divided into 3 zones : the helipad area, helicopter cleaning area, and hangar and assessed the necessity of treatment and management for each zone. For the helicopter cleaning area where biodegradable surfactant containing wastewater is produced, the treatment process incorporating two stages are provided:

• treatment process is a chemical treatment process including a batch tank and a chemical batch reactor.

Regional Distribution Center

This project is under design. This project composes of 4 separated RDCs

(Kampangpetch, Korat, Khonkaen and Suratthani). The master plan is being

designed. When it is finalized, Chuchawal Royal Haskoning will customize

them for each specific location. In the master plan, the total area of 45 Rai will

have a warehousing building (for ground slots of 12,000 sq.m.) for cartons of

Beer Chang and return bottles, warehouses offices, and facilities for RDC

operations as well as a separated sale office in front of RDC (separate area)

and canteen. Each RDC is budgeted at 300 million Baht. Chuchawal Royal

Haskoning performs the consultancy services for

- Designs (Architectural, Structural, Civil and M&E Works).

Tesco Lotus Crossdock Distribution System at Samkhok

Tesco Lotus is one of the largest retailers in Thailand, with stores of different sizes across the whole country. Tesco Lotus owns several distribution centers used to supply these stores. For their expansion of operations, they require a new ambient crossdock distribution center. The main warehouse for this project is approximately 24,000 m2. Chuchawal-Royal Haskoning has provided full range services for this project, including project management, conceptual and detailed design and construction management services. For this project C-RH has liaised with Tesco’s International Operations Development Group’s architects in the UK to design the distribution center to be in line with Tesco’s international “blueprint” standards. This project has high environmental specifications as well. Tesco worldwide has committed themselves to reduce their carbon footprint by 50% by 2020. C-RH and Tesco Lotus’s energy consultants have developed a range of solutions that will be implemented in this project that will contribute to this goal.

Hafele Distribution Center

Project Description: The 10,350 sq.m. footprint of the new Distribution Center for Häfele, one of the leading international companies for furniture fittings, architectural hardwares and electronic locking systems was designed to facilitate the Very Narrow Aisles (VNA) warehouse operation up to 11 layers of pallets storage racking system and up to 16 m. rack height. The key success is the design of superflat floor that allow the VNA truck to operate within a very strict floor tolerances so that the truck will not clash with racks along its very narrow aisles.
