A note from Mrs. KaniaWe officially began the second semester this week. Report cards for the first semester/second quarter will be emailed on Friday, January 17th. Please contact the office if you do not receive your child's report card by Friday afternoon. It is important to discuss progress with your child. Please take the time to review the report card, to celebrate successes, and determine areas for growth. The winter Scantron Performance Series testing session is underway. The winter sessions allows teachers to track progress and monitor growth. Individual student reports will be sent home in paper format in early February once testing is complete.
The week of January 26th-31st, we will celebrate Catholic Schools across the nation. This year's theme is Learn, Serve, Lead, and Succeed. Students will participate in activities during the week related to the theme. A prayer service thanking those in our community that help and support our school will be held the morning of January 30th. During this time we like to give back to some of the organizations that help us and our surrounding community. We are looking forward to #CSW1920!

PTO CornerThank you for your patience and understanding with our Yankee Candle Order fiasco! We appreciate your support!We are looking for volunteers to help us with Catholic School's Week! We will have multiple opportunities to bring food, help with Open House, and our Community Prayer Service. A sign-up sheet for volunteers is being sent home and is attached.
Please support our 8th graders as they sell pizza kits to help fund the spring trip. All orders and payments are due by this Friday, January 17th. All online orders close on Thursday, January 16th. Pizza will be ready for pickup on January 30th after 10:30am. If you order online, please use our fundraising ID # 378152. You may see any 8th grader, Mrs. Crumpler, or the office to place an order. Auction VolunteersThe Annual Auction will be on March 14th this year from 6pm-10pm. We are in need of volunteers to help with set-up, gathering auction items, and various other jobs! If you are interested in helping this year, please contact Casey Scarce at [email protected] or at 434-793-2656.
We need your help to save our EISTC program!Sacred Heart Family, we need your help! Since its creation in 2014, the state's Education Improvement Scholarships Tax Credits (EISTC) program has provided tuition assistance for dozens of students to attend SHCS. This year alone, over 50 students at SHCS receive financial aid through the EISTC program. But now the General Assembly is threatening to abolish it. Catholic Schools Week Volunteers We need your help! The PTO needs the help of volunteers during CSW. Listed below are the time slots that we need covered. Monday, January 27th- Open House 8am-11am We need volunteers to help guide families around our school (plus telling them really great things about SHCS)! You can still sign up if you can’t stay the whole time, just let us know below how long you are able to stay. Thursday, January 30th- Prayer Service 8:30am-10am Multiple first responders, community organizations, and civic leaders of our Danville community are joining us for a prayer service. To welcome them we will have a reception after a 9am prayer service thanking them for all that they do. We need volunteers to help us at the reception following the service and welcoming them to our church and school. January 31st- Sock Hop 3:30pm-5:15pm To end the week with a bang, we are hosting a Sock Hop for our K-5th grade students. If you’d like to chaperone and help keep the chaos in hand please sign up! Thank you so much for all that you do for our students and our school! We are really looking forward to this week.
