Colossians 3:2

Focus• Primary Mission as a Christian (church)– To proclaim the message of Reconciliation• 1 Timothy 2:3-4• Romans 5:6-11

2 Corinthians 5:18-20: All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.

Focus• Primary mission is NOT- – Worship on Sunday!– The moral reform of our legal system!– Not to grow in numbers!– Not to grow our bank account!– Not to provide a social club!– Not to entertain you!

Focus• Disengage from “Attack Mode”!– Matthew 23:24 ( Gnats and Camels)

• Not everyone is a False Teacher!– Acts 18:24-28 (Apollos)

• Never be Rude!– Galatians 5:16-26 (Fruit of the spirit)

• Love like God does!– 2 Peter 3:9 ( Be graceful – extend patience)
