Sharon’s Biography
Sharon returned to the FUN 107 morning show in 2001 after leaving for several years to work in television.
A native of New Bedford, Massachusetts, Sharon graduated with honors from Bridgewater State College with a degree in Speech Communication and a concentration in radio and television production.
Her broadcasting career began at WPEP-AM in Taunton. Sharon has worked in radio in Boston, Providence and Orlando.
Her television career includes working as a news anchor for ABC 6 in Providence, RI. While at ABC 6 Sharon also covered major news events in and around Southern New England.
Sharon has also anchored and produced, Southcoast Hospital’s “Your Health Matters.” A television series which aired throughout Bristol County Massachusetts.
In November of 2001 Sharon left the bright lights of television behind to reunite with JR. Together they hosted the most listened to FM morning radio show in southeastern, Massachusetts.

Timeline
November 2009: Start advertising on-air at WHFN and on the website about the walk in honor of Sharon Fogaren.
December 2009:. Bring advertisement brochures to various events the radio station attends. Start involving radio station interns and local volunteers to help in the distribution of information
January 2010: Start a fitness track on-line for people to follow to get in-shape for the walk. We will also begin leaving posters and brochures at businesses that Sharon once advertized for.
February 2010: Hold a fitness event at Fairhaven, New Bedford, Dartmouth, and Durfee High Schools with local gym trainers donating their time by leading the exercises. Have healthy snacks available from local retailers that advertise with Fun 107FM.
March 2010: Continue advertising on-air and on website. Continue bringing advertisement brochures to various events the radio station attends
April 2010: Walk takes place on the 25th
