About ShareFile
• Sharefile is an online, legal file sharing service
• From it, FA Learning can securely distribute course materials to course candidates
• Access is granted on an individual basis, and you will have the ability to download, upload or otherwise utilise content depending on what’s appropriate
• Sharefile is more secure than Dropbox, and is provided by Citrix – a large, multi-national networking company
About ShareFile
• ShareFile can be accessed in 3 ways:• Via your web browser• Via a Windows PC application• Via an iPad app
• For this guide we will not be covering use of the Windows PC application – it has proven difficult to install on work PCs and seems to have some issues.
• The iPad app has some restrictions on upload capabilities in comparison to the web browser version
• We will set up your account with ShareFile here, using the email account that our course coordinator has on record for you
• You will receive an invite to that email address, which will come from “Darren Sandbach <[email protected]>”
• This will have your username and a temporary password in the message
• The first time you log in, you will be prompted to change your password. The temporary one will not work once you’ve done this
