Flights can take up to 2 hours so there is plenty to watch. Balloons can only safely fly in calm light conditions and each flight is weather dependant. After the mass balloon launch spectators are encouraged to follow (chase) the balloons to watch them drop their markers and then land. Please be conscious of road safety and do not touch any marker you see on the ground as this may interfere with a pilot’s results in the competition. Spectators are asked not to drive onto private property. DAILY COMPETITION FLIGHTS: Announcements about the flights will be made at the Canowindra Showground at 5.50am and 3.20pm daily. Flight updates will also be available on our Facebook page Facebook/canowindraballoonchallenge or by phoning 1300 908 825.
