TRANSCRIPT
We are planning on finishing the original dream of Sharing Meadows. In the spring of this year, construction willbegin on the last village of three homes. Six more villagers and three more stewards/house managers will moveinto their homes. It will be a very happy day!!
Today I visited the black walnut cracking room. There were about ten villagers and stewards digging out theblack walnuts from the shells. There was excitement in the air. Our people live in hope. And when hope is partof your life, you seem to joyfully dance without the need of music.
Our Capital Fund Drive for the new village is continuing. I hope that you can contribute some amount – large orsmall. I have been very impressed by the goodness of many kind people who want to be a part of something thatis so good. Wouldn’t you want to be a part? Imagine driving through the new village at Sharing Meadows andrealizing that you were partially responsible for it!!
Those who live in hope, dance without music!

THOUGHTS FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTORBy Kathleen Kelly
When visitors come to Sharing Meadows for the first time they are often surprised by the loving welcome they get. The villagers rush togreet guests, introducing themselves and eager to get to know them. Hugs are plentiful and everyone feels loved and appreciated. One ofour volunteers arrived one morning just in time for the daily prayer service and she was bombarded by villagers calling her name andwaiting for their turn to give her a hug. I asked her if she is greeted like that everywhere she goes and she replied, “only at SharingMeadows. That’s why I keep coming back.” The villagers realize that her very presence shows that she loves them and her willingnessto share her time and talents with them fills them with so much love they just have to give back and share it.
The love at Sharing Meadows is genuine and unconditional. The villagers know they are loved and they share that love with everyonearound them. It’s such a good feeling knowing that a hug – or two or many more – awaits me each morning and that is the best way tostart each day. Our villagers see everyone as lovable and they don’t care how much money you have or if you are having a bad hair dayor even if you don’t have hair, they simply love each person for who they are. What a great way to look at life and the people we meet!Just think how much better the world would be if all of us learned how to love like the villagers do.
Valentine’s Day is celebrated in February and there are plenty of items available purchase that the retailers promote as a sign of our love.Cards, flowers, candy, jewelry and perfume as nice to receive but a warm hug from the heart or a sincere “I love you” is worth so muchmore. At Sharing Meadows, love is a way of life and it’s celebrated every day of the year, not just one special day. Come visit us at SharingMeadows and experience the joy of unconditional love. Come and see us – there’s a hug waiting for you! Happy Valentine’s Day!
