Why I Picked This Topic
I picked this topic because I really wanted to volunteer to do Big Brother Big Big Sisters (BBBS) but I couldn’t because I was not of age and I did not have a vehicle for transportation. I still had the desire to help another person in need but couldn’t so I then wanted to raise awareness about mentoring, By explaining the importance of it and how big of a difference it could make.
Thesis
Mentoring is something that can change the lives of many people. Participating in mentoring programs could make America a better place by helping people with social issues and emotional stresses.
The goal of my presentation is to explain to you what mentoring is and how it can make difference in someone’s life and your own life.
What is Mentoring/ Why Mentor
Sustained relationship between an adult and child or an older child to a younger child
Mentoring is Beneficial to all, even those who don’t participate.

What is a Mentor
A mentor is a person who looks out for another person. Qualities that a mentor should have:
Be willing to volunteer
Be willing to offer advice and guidance
Be willing to commit to help someone at-risk
Be willing to spend time and energy to get child on the right track.
