Sewer’s organizer has elastic strap holders, three contrast-ing pockets with encased edges and loop and button closure.Finished size: 4-1/2˝ x 6-1/2˝ (12cm x 17cm)

1. With right sides together, pin LOWER FRONT (1) to lower edge of CENTER FRONT (2), matching circles. Stitch between circles. Press seam allowances toward center front.

2. Cut four pieces of elastic, each 5-1/2˝ (14cm) long.

3. Center each piece of elastic over placement lines. Baste across ends. Stitch center and lower front along stitching lines.

All seam allowances are 5/8” (1.5cm), unless otherwise indicated.

4. Fold each SIDE POCKET (3) on foldline, wrong sides together. Press. Baste side and lower edges together, as shown.

5. Encase upper edge of pocket with double fold bias tape. Stitch close to inner pressed edges.

6. With right sides up, pin side pocket to each SIDE FRONT (4), matching notches and small circles. Baste raw edges together.

7. With right sides together, pin side front to center front, matching small circles. Stitch between circles. Press seam allowances toward side fronts.

8. Fold UPPER POCKET (5) on foldline wrong sides together. Baste, as shown.

9. Encase upper edge of pocket with double fold bias tape. Stitch close to inner pressed edges.

10. With right sides up, pin upper pocket to UPPER FRONT (6), match-ing small circles. Baste lower edges. Baste sides 3/8˝ (1cm) from raw edges.

11. With right sides together, pin upper front to center front, matching small circles. Stitch, press seam allowances toward upper front.

SEWING INSTRUCTIONS

12. Pin wrong side of BACK (7) to matching fleece section, baste sides and lower edges together between small circles. Baste upper edges together 3/8˝ (1cm) from raw edges.

13. Pin back to front, right sides together, matching notches and small circles. Stitch sides and lower edges between small circles as shown. Clip diagonally to lower small circles. Clip to upper small circles, as shown.

14. Turn right side out. Press. Baste upper edges together 3/8˝ (1cm) from raw edges.

15. Cut a piece of bias tape 3˝ (7.5cm) long.

16. Fold tape in half, wrong sides together, having edges even. EDGES-TITCH long folded edges.

17. Fold loop as shown. Baste 3/8˝ (1cm) from raw edges.

18. Pin loop to upper front at square, having raw edges even. Baste.

19. Encase upper edge of pocket with double fold bias tape, turning under ends of tape at small circles. Stitch close to inner pressed edges.

20. On outside, TOPSTITCH outer edge between small circles, pivoting at corners and connecting with bias stitching.

21. Turn loop to outside over tape. Stitch across loop along previous stitching.

22. Sew button at marking, as shown.
