Project characteristics

Financed by the German governmental bank, KfW,

Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau, the implementation

of sewage sludge treatment facilities at the waste

water treatment plant in the city of Bursa is in reali-

zation.

The waste water treatment association of BURSA

is processing the waste water of 2.6 million people.

The total project comprises the reconstruction of 4

existing plants and the new construction of 6

plants.

Technical concept:

• Drying of the dewatered sludge

• Fluidized bed incineration

• Generation of electricity with steam turbine

• Waste heat recovery
