From the Pincushions - White (A), cut• (1) 20 ½” x 27 ½” rectangle

From the Stitch Stripe - Black (B), cut• (1) 4 ½” x WOF strip. Sub-cut (2) 4 ½” x 18 ½” strips

Sewing Instructions1. Sew the three 6 ½” x 7” Fabric C rectangles together side by side, along the 6 ½” edge to make the middle pocket front.

2. Press the Middle Pocket front to (1) 6 ½” x 18 ½” Fusible Fleece. Place the middle pocket front on top of (1) 6 ½” x 18 ½” Fabric C strip, right sides together. Sew the two pieces together along the four edges, leaving a small opening for turning. Turn the pocket right side out, press and stitch the opening closed.

3. Press (1) 4 ½” x 18 ½” Fabric B strip to (1) 4 ½” x 18 ½” fusible fleece piece to make the Top Pocket Front.

4. Place the Top Pocket Front and (1) 4 ½” x 18 ½” Fabric B strip, right sides together. Sew the two pieces together along the four edges, leaving a small opening for turning. Turn the pocket right side out, press and stitch the opening closed.

5. Press (1) 6 ½” x 18 ½” Fabric D strip to (1) 6 ½” x 18 ½” fusible fleece piece to make the Bottom Pocket Front.

6. Place the Bottom Pocket Front and (1) 6 ½” x 18 ½” Fabric D strip, right sides together. Sew the two pieces together along the four edges, leaving a small opening for turning. Turn the pocket right side out, press and stitch the opening closed.

7. Press (1) 20 ½” x 27 ½” Fabric B rectangle to the piece of fusible fleece to make the organizer front. Optional: You may choose to add stabilizer to this piece for added support.

8. Measure and mark the center of the 20 ½” side to use as a guide to center the pockets on the organizer. Position the top pocket 4” down from the top edge. Pin the pocket in place. Topstitch down each short side and across the bottom to attach the pocket to the organizer (Fig. 1).

9. Position the middle pocket 3” down from the bottom edge of the top pocket. Pin the pocket in place. Topstitch down each short side and across the bottom to attach the pocket to the organizer (Fig. 1).

10. Position the bottom pocket 3” down from the bottom edge of the middle pocket. Pin the pocket in place. Topstitch down each short side and across the bottom to attach the pocket to the organizer (Fig. 1).

11. You can leave the pocket long or you can divide the pockets up by stitching vertical lines through both the pocket and the organizer.

12. To make the hanging strap, fold one 6" x WOF Fabric E strip in half lengthwise and press (Fig. 2). Open the folded fabric and fold each long edge to the creased centerline and press (Fig. 3).

13. Fold the pressed fabric in half again and press to make one 1 ½” x WOF strip (Fig. 4). Top stitch down both long sides ⅛” in from the edge (Fig. 5).

14. Pin the strap to the front of the organizer at the upper right corner about ½” from the side edge, measure how long you would like the strap and trim as desired. Pin the other end of the strap to the upper left corer, about ½” from the side edge with the strap hanging down the front of the organizer.

15. Place the 20 ½” x 27 ½” backing rectangle on top of the organizer with strap, right sides together. Stitch the layered pieces together on all four sides, leaving a small opening for turning. Turn the organizer right side out, press and topstitch around the organizer to complete.
