Baseball Meeting Minutes
• Severn Athletic Club• Baseball
• General Meeting February 13, 2012 Meeting began at 7:05 pm
• The general meeting was opened with Jim Bailey, Baseball Commissioner identifying himself and• introducing BJ Estes, Assistant Commissioner and Geoffrey Bobersky, Baseball Executive Board Member.
• J. Bailey went onto explain one of the reasons for the meetings is that it is another avenue that Baseball• will be using communicate to the players, parents, coaches, etc. Jim also went onto explain that• the baseball website has a lot of information on it and that it has been and is constantly being kept• updated with new information and to remove outdated information. Jim asked that everyone to please• constantly check the website for new information.
• Jim then introduced BJ Estes who proceeded to do a power point presentation on what was going• on with Severn Baseball and the direction SAC baseball is heading. Questions were taken during this• presentation. This presentation is available as a link elsewhere on this webpage.
• Upon completion of the ppt presentation Jim B. reviewed all the information that was currently on the• website. He then went onto explain the new safety requirements for bats for both the Cal Ripken and• Babe Ruth Divisions. See further information for bats on the sidebar. Jim also went on to explain the• requirements for batter helmets. Questions were then taken from the audience regarding on uniforms,• needing new catchers gear.
• Jim B. then introduced all the coordinators with the exception of Keith Parks.
• The meeting was closed at 8:17 pm
