SALT & LIGHT MINISTRY NEWS

CRS RICE BOWLS: ENCOUNTER LENT

Join our faith community—and nearly 14,000 Catholic communities across the United States—in a life-changing Lenten journey of encounter with CRS (Catholic Relief Services) Rice Bowl.

Pick up your family’s CRS Rice Bowl from the back of any of the three churches or at Religious Education classes starting the weekend of Feb. 25/26, and don’t forget to download the CRS Rice Bowl app! May these 40 days better prepare us to encounter ourselves, our neighbors and our God.

DID YOU KNOW?

25% of the total funds collected from the 2016 CRS Rice Bowl Collection was returned to our Parish. Each of our three food cupboards received $54.44. So a total of $163.32 was returned to our Parish. All three food cupboards thank you for your past Rice Bowl support and hope that you will be as generous again this year.

A CHALLENGE

Last year’s total was over $600.00. Let’s see if we can raise $750 this year!

Many Thanks To Those Who Organized, Contributed to,

and Attended the Valentine’s Day Potluck last Saturday, 02/11.

The food was delicious.

The music was excellent and had people “dancing in the aisles”.

The 50/50 raffle winner donated her winnings back to NCYC, which when added to the proceeds from the raffles for the

beautiful baskets that were donated, raised $378.00.
