TRANSCRIPT
Praise is when we tell God about how good He is. Think of at least one reason to praise God for every day of the week. Practice praising God by remembering these things on your list for each day of the week between now and Palm Sunday.

At Last—A Savior!Zechariah 9:9; Luke 19:28-40
It was nearly time for Passover, and Jesus was traveling to Jerusalem for the celebration. At Bethany, He sent two of His disciples on ahead of the rest. He said, “Go to the village ahead of you, and as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there, which no one has ever ridden. Untie it and bring it here. If anyone asks you, ‘Why are you untying it?’ say, ‘The Lord needs it.’”
When the two disciples arrived in the village, they found the colt just as Jesus had said. They brought it to Jesus, threw their cloaks on the colt and put Jesus on it. Then they began walking toward the city. As he went along, people spread their cloaks on the road. When Jesus came near the Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of dis-ciples began joyfully to praise God in loud voices. Let’s listen to what a person in the crowd might have said about this event.
“Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion! Shout, Daughter Jerusalem! See your king comes to you,
righteous and victorious, lowly and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.”
Zechariah 9:9
Words in color are from Luke 19:30-31, 35- 38.
“He is coming! The man everyone says must be the Messiah!
All my life I have heard the prophecies read, and knew that someday He would come. I can’t believe this is happening in my lifetime. His name is Jesus and He has done wonderful things. I heard that He fed
more than 5,000 people from only one small lunch. I heard that He heals the sick and even brought someone back from the dead.
How amazing is that?”“Here He comes now, riding on a donkey. I think the prophet
Zechariah said that is what He would do. Look at the cloaks people are laying in the street as He passes by. Everyone is shouting.”
“Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord!”“Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!”
“Oh no, there are some of the religious leaders. They don’t look very happy. They are telling Jesus to make His followers be quiet.
But wait—Jesus is answering them. He says that if the people keep quiet, the stones will cry out instead.
“This man must be our promised Savior! I think I will go join the celebration. How about you?”
