Solar energy will make it possible to bring our pistachios from the �eld to the store while o�-setting the carbon emissions from the consumption of 4,198 barrels of oil.

In partnership with Cenergy Power, Setton Pistachio of Terra Bella, Inc. is harnessing the power of the sun to make pistachios even greener than before. With the addition of two new solar photovoltaic (PV) systems totally 1.7 MW, Setton’s Solar Power System is the largest solar power system in the central valley. Photovoltaic (PV devices) or “solar cells” change sunlight directly into electricity.

Setton’s new solar power system will produce over 2.6 million kilowatt hours of clean energy per year to sort, roast and package millions of pounds of pistachios each year in Setton’s 300,000 square foot processing facility.
