The present map shows the current situation of floods in the area of Paracin (SERBIA). The basictopographic features are derived from public datasets, refined by means of visual interpretation of pre-event image SPOT-6 © Astrium (acquired on 25/08/2013, GSD 1.5m, 0% cloud coverage).Thematic layers, assessing the delineation of this product, have been derived from post-event imageRadarsat-2 © MDA (acquired on 18/05/2014 16:28 UTC, GSD 6,25 m) Ltd. All rights reserved.All satellite images have been radiometrically enhanced and orthocorrected with RPC approach (usingSRTM elevation data).The estimated geometric accuracy of this product is 20m CE90 or better, from native positional accuracyof the background satellite image.The estimated thematic accuracy of this product is 85% or better, based on previous experience in usingfor flood extent delineation. Please be aware that the thematic accuracy might be lower in urban andforested areas due to known limitations of the analysis technique.Only the area enclosed by the Area of Interest has been analyzed.Map produced on 19/05/2014 by SIRS under contract 257219 with the European Commission. The products elaborated in the framework of current mapping in rush mode activation are realized to thebest of our ability, within a very short time frame during a crisis, optimising the available data andinformation. All geographic information has limitations due to scale, resolution, date and interpretation ofthe original data sources. The products are compliant with GIO-EMS RUSH Product Portfoliospecifications.

No restrictions on the publication of the mapping apply.Delivery formats are GeoTIFF, GeoPDF, GeoJPEG and vectors (shapefile and KML formats).

Due to prolonged heavy rainfalls and widespread flooding that hit large parts of Serbia, the State ofEmergency was declared in the whole territory of the country on 15 May 2014.The core users of the map are Civil Protection authorities involved in in-field operations.The scope of the map production is planning and support to logistics.
