At Motherhood, we focus on reducing infections, complications and failures during the surgical procedures. Our surgeons and sta� use tools such as surgical safety checklist to keep track of vital pre & post-operative parameters to keep our patients safe and out of danger.

By constantly understanding our patient’s needs, and involving them, we have devised “Motherhood Safety Shield,” which includes continuous monitoring of 57 key clinical performance indicators, 10 clinical e�ectiveness indicators and 11 safety identi�cation indicators to create an environment which compares with the best in the world. The shield is not just another initiative, but a true commitment to our patients’ health and safety.

Infection control is a top priority for us. We ensure near 0% infection rate across all our hospitals. From proper hand hygiene to appropriate disposal of biomedical waste to periodical sterilization of equipment and surveillance of high-risk patient areas, we operate with precision and commitment.

STRINGENT INFECTION CONTROL

We ensure each baby has his/her own medical equipment including stethoscope, sanitizer, thermometer, incubators etc. to prevent infections. Any baby with suspected infection is placed in an incubator with 1:1 sta� care irrespective of the baby’s condition. These e�orts have led to us achieving less than 1%

newborn mortality.

NICU SAFETY

We are equipped with separate NICUs for inborn and outborn babies with dedicated sta� for each. The entire sta� is trained to adhere to transmission-based precautions and safety protocols.

Wrong drug administration is an error that can be fatal. At Motherhood, we give highest priority to drug handling and dosage regimen for the safety of our patients. With appropriate labelling, nomenclature and storage, we ensure administration of right medication to the right patient every single time.

MEDICATIONSAFETY

For personalized and accurate delivery of care, we use the right tools for patient identi�cation. With appropriate ID tags and double checks at every step, we assure a safe and seamless treatment journey for the patient.

MONITORING OF TRANSFUSION OF BLOOD AND BLOOD PRODUCTS

We are the fastest among

the single speciality Women & Children’s hospitals to achieve NABH accreditation for 10 out of our 12 centres. We are also among the few hospitals

in India to monitor clinical outcomes for 780 parameters, much more than 250 mandatory parameters as per NABH.
