Define your event objectives

Randy Karr, Principal at The Spur Group, will be attending a range of events over the course of the next year to document how events connect, influence and inspire.

Events without a clear purpose are painful, difficult to manage and, honestly, a waste of time. Another hour you can never get back.

Every event should have clear objectives that align to the strategy of the company. No need to over think it. Keep your objectives simple and no more than 3-5.

So marketing people, content developers, designers, and speakers know what they’re trying to achieve and informs which external speakers, celebrities, and entertainers you might want to have at the event.

Avoid disaster

Develop the purpose for your event

Communicate event objectives to all key stakeholders and event teams
