Since 2006 Sealease SA has become a niche player in the marine industry. We are recognized as a unique provider of Full Service Lease products to yacht charter companies and passenger boats operators, all around the world.

Who we are

Typically, our prospects have a clear need to finance one or more boats for professional use. A business plan is drafted focusing on the comparison between revenues and costs to secure the viability of the investment.

Sealease prepares a leasing quotation based on either of it’s 2 products:• A finance lease

With a purchase option at a pre-defined price • An operational lease

With a fair-market-value purchase option, substantially reducing the monthly rentals

Day Charter boatsSailing and motor boats up to 90 feet with a capacity up to 150 pax. Our B2B customers tap into the need of daily cruising trips in sunny touristic resorts. We provide neutral advice regarding local legislation, flagging maximization of capacity and best rates for P&I insurance.

Passenger boatsMotor boats dedicated to regular shuttle operations or excursions, with diesel or electrical propulsion. Sealease is responding to private or public tenders and taps into a growing demand for ecological passenger transportation where public subsidies can be a key for decision making.

Utility boatsProfessional boats utilized in specific niche markets, eg. water de-pollution boats to clean oil spills in harbors, shuttle service boats to Offshore windmills, etc. We have partnerships with boat manufacturers who acknowledge that our financing proposal is offering them an additional sales tool towards their prospects.

Upon signature, Sealease buys the boat (on it’s balance sheet) and leases it to the customer for a duration of 3 to 8 years. The customer typically funds up to 20% and Sealease secures the funding of the remaining amount.

During the contract term Sealease keeps a finger on the pulse and can respond to changing customer requirements, such as: boat swaps, reshuffling of monthly installments to align peak vs low season, change of location and / or flag, etc.

Even at the end of the contract term Sealease allows maximum flexibility and proposes three alternatives: either the customer ends the contract (as planned) or extends the lease for another period. The third option is that our customers buy the boat and to continue to operate that same boat going forward.
