Licensing Changes

• Bentley Vision, Data Manager, Datasheets, and Bulk Datasheet Generator will now consume one of the following licenses, in that order, depending on which Product it has been installed with:

– OpenPlant PID

– AutoPLANT P&ID

– AutoPLANT Modeler

– Bentley I&W


Performance Improvements

• Performance Issues with different operations in AutoPLANT Projects including: – Opening a drawing

– Opening Component Preferences and defining specs

– Updating Components

– Changing Spec in Spec Browser

– Deleting Components

– Cleaning Database

– Saving drawing

– Generating Isos


AutoPLANT Modeler - Equipment

• The Consistency Checker has been improved for repairing corrupt equipment in the drawing or rebuilding the equipment database by including synchronization of the xdata and database (i.e. Equipment tag; Nozzle's Line Number relationship instances, etc).

• Nozzles do not loose connection to parent components after being imported into another project


Drawing Flattener

• Improvements to Drawing Flattener's log details

• Wipeouts placed in paper space to hide graphics are now considered when flattening models through DF.


AutoPLANT Modeler - Piping

• ‘Use saved spec data’ option works fine on inserting an assembly that has different specs than the current one

• Stretched Pipes are correctly getting undone on applying AutoCAD’s UNDO command

• User can now review the properties even when Component Preferences are checked as Read-Only via Project Administrator. Previously it used to be grayed out.

• AutoPLANT SS5 will provide two workflows for the generation of isometrics from AutoPLANT piping models

AutoPLANT Isometrics Workflows In-Session

• The user workflow is identical to what the user experiences today when using ISOGEN to generate isometric drawings – Users can generate isometrics from within AutoPLANT Modeler

• AutoPLANT Modeler license will be required to generate isometrics through In-Session workflow


AutoPLANT Isometrics Workflows Out-Session

• This is a new project workflow not available previously for AutoPLANT users

• Any project participant can now generate an isometric directly from the AutoPLANT Project Db without having to open an AutoPLANT model. Designers and Engineers can focus on areas where their time is more valuable.

• Clients will require a seat of OpenPlant Isometric Manager to enable this workflow


ISOGEN in AutoPLANT SS5

• Isogen is no longer delivered with AutoPLANT

• Integrate OpenPlant Isometrics Manager with AutoPLANT to replace ISOGEN

• Copying from AutoPLANT integrated ProjectWise Project to non-AutoPLANT integrated ProjectWise Project will convert the drawing to Briefcase model

• Copying from non-AutoPLANT integrated ProjectWise Project to AutoPLANT integrated ProjectWise Project will merge the drawing into the Project.


Loading Data Manager

• Loading Data Manager from ProjectWise Explorer in a specific AutoPLANT Integrated ProjectWise Project


Publishing Data Manager Reports

• Improvements to Publishing Data Manager reports to ProjectWise


Registering Non-AutoPLANT documents

• Non-AutoPLANT documents can be registered to ProjectWise enabled AutoPLANT projects


Document Registry Cleaner

• Now available from inside of ProjectWise Explorer


Changing Document Location

• Changing document location in ProjectWise Explorer by: – Renaming the ProjectWise Project of a ProjectWise enabled Multi-

mode AutoPLANT project

– Renaming folder of a ProjectWise enabled AutoPLANT project

– Moving folder location in ProjectWise Explorer

– Moving documents from one location to the other in ProjectWise Explorer

Installer Changes – Silent Installation

• Auto Installation – Auto installer batch file is being delivered to allow user to be able to

install AutoPLANT Modeler silently.

– Make settings to install different AP apps:

• SET AI_INSTALL_AP_PREREQ=1

• SET AI_INSTALL_MODELER=1

• SET AI_INSTALL_PIW=0

• SET AI_INSTALL_PID=0


Installer Changes – AutoPLANT Patch Installation

• AutoPLANT SS5 has been supported for Patch Installation – So post AutoPLANT SS5, user can get patches to install on top of

AP SS5

– Patches can be uninstalled, reverting the machine to pre-patch state

Pipeline Routing Enhancements

• Intelligent Linestring – IL – Piping layouts can begin as linestrings or SmartLines and then

converted to piping networks and populated with pipe and elbows

– Used in conjunction with Descartes to generate piping modeling from Point Clouds

• Dynamic Sloping

– Sloped pipe routing is now dynamic during placement.

– New Sloping criteria has been added to allow a user to define slope based on Rise & Run and Percentage


Standalone Workflows

• What does Standalone mean? – The purpose of this enhancement will allow a user to install and use

OPM without ProjectWise Explorer as a pre-requisite.

– Workflows will be similar to other file based workflows.

– ProjectWise Explorer is not a pre-requisite when a user wants to work in Standalone mode.

– When OPM is launched and a dgn file is opened, user will be not be prompted for an OPMS repository
