Microsoft Azure cloud computing platform
Workshop on Cloud Computing
Huawei Telecommunication in association with Indovision Services organized a One Day workshop on CLOUD COMPUTING on 7th August,2015 at Huawei Telecommunication Private Ltd, Unitech Cyber Park,
Gurgaon. The prime focus of the workshop was to enhance knowledge in the area of Networking,
Virtualisation and different technologies used in Cloud Computing. Ms. Priyanka Sandeep, Assistant Professor
of IT Department from Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida attended the Workshop.
Awareness Workshop on Red Hat Linux
Department of Information Technology, Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater
Noida, conducted an Awareness Workshop on Red Hat Linux on 21st August 2015. The objective of the workshop was to spread
awareness about the importance of the Red Hat training and certifications and its immense scope
in the field of information technology for the students. Fifteen students of IT Department
attended the workshop.
Wokshop on Software Testing
Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida organized a One Day workshop on Software Testing
on 11th September 2015. Faculty members and students from IT department participated in this
workshop. The objective of the event was to make students aware about the idea and scope of the Software Testing. The workshop was delivered by
Mr. Vipul Kocher, President of Indian Testing Board, SALT.
Wokshop on USSD-based Mobile Application
Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida organized a Workshop on “USSD-Based Mobile Applications” on 24th September 2015. The workshop
was conducted by a team from U2opia Mobiles, Gurgaon. Students and faculty members of IT
Department attended the workshop.
Wokshop on Microsoft Azure cloud computing platform
A one day workshop on “Microsoft Azure cloud computing platform” was organized by “Microsoft
India” on 30th October 2015 at Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida. Twenty students of 2nd
and 3rd year of Information Technology Department attended the worshop. Mr. Jagadish Sasala, Microsoft
Associate Trainer was the resource person for the workshop.

FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME ON JAVA FUNDAMENTALS AND PROGRAMMING
Five day Faculty Development Program on “Java Fundamentals and Java Programming” organized by Oracle Academy at Bharati Vidyapeeth College, New
Delhi from 27th -31st July 2015. Ms. Priyanka Tripathi, Assistant Professor of Information Technology
Department from Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida participated in the event. The objective of the FDP was to provide guidance in object oriented programming concepts and developing projects using
Greenfoot.
ISTE Short Term Training Course on Technical Communication
ISTE STTP on Technical Communication was conducted by IITB during 8th October 2015 - 5th December 2015 at
Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida. DGI - Greater Noida is the Remote Center - RC No 1316 for the
ICT workshops conducted by Indian Institute of Technology - Bombay and Kharagpur. This training program was done under the prestigious project of
Ministry of Human Resource Development- GOI to Train and Teach Teachers under the National Mission of Education.The course content was divided into two
segments : Online Component: 8 Oct to 11 Nov 2015 (5 weeks) and Face-to-face workshop: 30 Nov to 5 Dec 2015 (6 days). Faculty Member Ms. Shalini Sharma

INDUSTRIAL VISITS
Industrial Visit to C# Corner
Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida organized an Industrial Visit on 8th August 2015 to C# Corner, Noida . Fifteen
students of 2nd and 3rd year of IT Department attended the visit. The main objective of the visit
was to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical exposure providing the
student an insight into the real working environment of the industry
Industrial Visit to HCL Talentcare, Manesar
Information Technology Department of Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida
organised an industrial visit to HCL TalentCare on 21st October 2015. Ms. Priyanka
Sandeep, Assistant Professor of IT Department along with 43 students visited the
plant .The objective of the visit was to understand the organizational working.

Microsoft organised an event on worldwide release of MS Office 2016 in India at The Hotel Taj Palace, New Delhi on 23rd September 2015. Mr. Subhrajit Nag, HOD, IT Department along with four students
from Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida attended the launch event.
Indian International Science Festival
India International Science Festival (IISF) was organized from 4th to 8th December 2015 at IIT
Delhi Campus. Dr. Aditi Paul, Assistant Professor of IT Department from Dronacharya Group of
Institutions, Greater Noida attended the event. The event was Jointly organized by Ministry of Science
and Technology and Earth Sciences, Government of India and VIBHA (Vijnana Bharti).
