1.Parable of the Talents (Matt 25)•This parable teach us:•To use our given talents / skill wisely,•The servant with 1 talent failed to invest . He was afraid , wrong information/knowledge of his master lead to wrong actions - resulted in wrong relationship & ended in catastrophic, •Second look of this man ! Is he a crook? He faithfully kept the 1 talent until return to the Master•He was a good man but Goodness /honesty alone don’t save him•Wrong information / being ignorant due to Satan’s influence

Sirach 15:11-20•People perished due to lack of knowledge & ignorant•The tone noted that God is Sad or angry? -Angry means due to things had happened & can be corrected- Sad means duo to things had happened but can’t be corrected•Goodness alone can’t save!•Salvation is thru goodness & true knowledge of God

1. God’s Will:• Hardly people talks of God’s will upon Good/ success

events happen to them!Examples: One’s Wedding, Graduation, etc..

• Often people talk of God’s will upon bad /sad events happen to them!

Examples: Infant birth followed by illness /death , fatal accident, etc.

• How long God make a baby? 9 months or 6K hours• Is God is Stupid enough to waste his time to make a baby

& then kill? Do think again!

• Two kinds of Sufferings:1. Unnecessary suffering 2. Necessary suffering- The Cross

E.g. unnecessary suffering:• OT – war, famines due to Israel’s

sinfulness (Dt 30)

• NT- Jesus cured all the sick ( Mt 8:16)

FREEWILL & FREEDOM• God gives us life & Freewill• Freewill is precious, hardest to

maintain , our personal sovereignty

• No-one comes in without our consent – our choice!

• When we choose to allow the Evil One to come into our lives – we have exercised our Freewill

(even if we are not aware that we have made that choice)

• Becoz we or those over us have exercised our Freewill – God cannot stop but only watch

• What we choose, we reap the consequences, not only for ourselves but for all those attached to us

FREEWILL & FREEDOMUnless and until this choice for sin is revoked and renounced, God cannot come in
