INTRODUCTION

This document has been produced for De Montfort University (DMU) and Partner staff involved in the operation, administration and/or management of DMU collaborative provision delivered at UK and overseas partner institutions (hereon in known as ‘Partner’). This includes UK and overseas partners offering ‘faculty based’ franchised provision, joint awards, dual awards, modules delivered in collaboration, supported distance learning and UK partners offering provision under the ‘DMU validation service’ model. Guidance on the operation of other models of collaborative provision (e.g. Progression Agreements, Erasmus) is available from the Dean of International and Strategic Partnerships Office. Definitions for all models of collaborative provision are available from the DAQ website or on request from Educational Partnerships (EP) or Global Partnerships Unit (GPU).

The Service Level Agreement (SLA) offers an overview of the various administrative and operational procedures required of both DMU and its Partners in order to successfully operate collaborative provision. This central support guidance runs separately to any faculty programme specific processes.

Information in the guide relates to all types of partners unless otherwise specified and should be read in conjunction with the partner institution collaborative contract. Where information on activities/responsibilities apply to a specific type of partner or provision this will be highlighted by use of acronyms as follows:

UK partners (UK)Overseas partners (OVS) Validation service provision (VS)

The SLA forms part of the partner institution contract (schedule two) and is updated and distributed annually by EP/GPU.

Details of DMU partnerships are available from the DAQ website as is the full collaborative register.

A list of key contacts and useful DMU/external links and information is provided at the back of the guide together with a glossary of terms used throughout the document (appendices A-D).

QUALITY ASSURANCE AND ENHANCEMENT

Within DMU, collaborative provision is managed under non-devolved authority. This means that although collaborative programmes are delivered at our collaborative partner institutions and managed by the Programme Management Boards (PMBs), ultimate responsibility for the provision rests with the University Collaborative Provision Committee (UCPC), coordinated by EP/GPU and DAQ. The university's procedures for the development, approval, review and monitoring of its collaborative provision have been developed with reference to the university's procedures for in-house provision and to the Quality Assurance Agency's Quality Code, particularly Chapter B10: Managing HE Provision with Others.

Detailed information on the university's quality assurance procedures and requirements, including arrangements for approval and review, can be found in the guides produced and distributed by DAQ, particularly the Guide to Managing Collaborative Provision and the DAQ Guide to Validations. Current information on quality assurance activities relating to collaborative provision is also available on the DAQ website.

All UK universities and colleges are subject to external review by the UK Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) on how they maintain the standard of their higher education provision. Dates for review are determined by the QAA. Reviewers report on how institutions meet their responsibilities, they identify good practice and make recommendations for improvement. It is not QAA’s role to review or accredit organisations outside of the UK. However, where UK institutions offer higher education programmes through partnership links with organisations abroad, or deliver programmes on overseas campuses, these ‘transnational education’ arrangements are also subject to QAA review.

QUALITY ASSURANCE - DMU employs a variety of mechanisms for assuring the quality of collaborative provision. The key functions are programme validation, annual quality monitoring and collaborative review. All programmes are also subject to periodic review. More information on all these processes can be found in the Guide to Managing Collaborative Provision. Partner approval is usually granted for an initial three year period and is subject to collaborative review every five years thereafter.Programme validation/re-validation

PUBLIC INFORMATION AND CONSUMER RIGHTS ACT 2015

The UK Quality Code for Higher Education (Part C: Information about higher education provision) requires providers to produce information for a variety of stakeholders for different purposes, including provision delivered through collaborative partnerships. DMU sets out the specific measures taken to ensure control is exercised consistently and appropriately over the information it publishes in relation to its collaborative activities in its Collaborative Provision Public Information Policy. This includes a responsibility to supply information to external bodies to assist in the provision of comparable sets of information designed to aid prospective students select their programme and institution of choice. When students leave their programme of study, DMU is also required to issue a Higher Educational Achievement Report (HEAR) which provides a detailed record of their studies and gives evidence to others of the students' achievement in their academic programme. At DMU activities are mainly managed by a combination of Information and Technology Management Services (ITMS), Strategic Planning Services (SPS), faculty based Data Management Teams and DAQ with oversight from EP/GPU for collaborative provision purposes. Information is collected/ published at key points in the student lifecycle – the following reflects the general sequence of activities.

DMU Responsibilities *DMU lead Partner Responsibilities Partner Lead

Key Information Sets (KIS) – applies to UK and UK VS provision only.KIS is an annual return made to the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) to allow for the provision of comparable sets of information about full or part time undergraduate courses, designed to meet the information needs of prospective students. It contains information on student satisfaction, graduate outcomes, learning and teaching activities, assessment methods, tuition fees and student finance, accommodation and professional accreditation published by UNISTATS and accessed via widgets alongside institutional programme information. DMU is responsible for ensuring the KIS return is made for ‘indirectly’ funded provision. NB. For directly funded provision responsibility for HEFCE returns rests with the Partner. Wider Information Sets (WIS)WIS cover a range of information about institutions and the courses they deliver, made publically available internally or on request. HEFCE specify what this information should, at a minimum, include under three broad headings: information on institutional context, information about aspects of courses and awards, and information on the quality and standards of programmes. QAA will consider this information as part of the way they assess how institutions manage their public information at review. Liaise with Partner to ensure accuracy of information published

by DMU (some of this will be covered under ‘marketing and communications’ above)

NSS is a national initiative, conducted annually. The survey runs across all publicly funded Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in England, Wales, Northern Ireland, and participating HEIs in Scotland. Further Education Colleges (FECs) with directly funded higher education students in England are also eligible to participate. The survey asks final year undergraduates and students in their final year of a course leading to undergraduate credits or qualifications to provide feedback on their courses in a nationally recognised format. The outcomes are published on the HEFCE website and may also be accessed via the KIS. Identify partner students eligible to take part in NSS and liaise

CONSUMER RIGHTS LAW AND INFORMATION PROVISION

Consumer Rights law namely the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (‘CRA’), the Consumer Contracts (information, cancellation and additional charges) Regulations 2013 and the Consumer Protection from Unfair Terms Regulations 2008 (together ‘the Regulations’) apply to the relationship between the education provider and the student. The legal obligations imposed by the legislation includes with regard to information provision to students.

The Consumer Contracts Regulations impose a legal obligation that prospective students are provided with certain information before they apply to their teaching institution and that such information is subsequently confirmed to them in durable means. The Consumer Protection from Unfair Terms Regulations makes it an offence not to provide ‘material information’ which is the information a student needs to make an informed choice including information required by law pursuant to the Consumer Contracts Regulations before a student commits themselves to a course.

The Partner is responsible for ensuring they are aware of and comply with the requirements of the Consumer Rights Act and the Regulations in their dealings both written and verbal with students throughout the period of the university lifecycle from pre application stage to graduation.

DMU may make available to the Partner access to the university’s own in house training materials on consumer law. DMU does not give any warranty as to those materials or training. The training materials have been developed solely for DMU staff and as such may not be suitable for partner staff.

RECRUITMENT

As part of the validation process, all programmes validated for delivery at a collaborative partner will be allocated minimum and maximum validated numbers per programme, which will be detailed on the validation report. These represent the parameters for student numbers (as distinct from target numbers) by which the programme can successfully run, bearing in mind resource capacity, the quality of the student experience and recruitment forecasts. If a collaborative partner believes they have the resources and the market demand to recruit above the validated maximum, they must apply to APD/DAQ to change the maximum number. Similarly, if partners anticipate not being able to recruit to the validated minimum in the forthcoming session, they must apply to APD and DAQ to change the minimum number. Validated numbers will be checked as part of the annual updates to programme compositions (see ‘Legal’) – outside of this process Partners are expected to notify EP/GPU and DAQ of any proposed changes at least two months before recruitment is anticipated.

Standard minimum entry criteria are set centrally at DMU with local discretion at Faculty level, e.g. where particular programmes require qualifications in specific subjects. Offers for UK and UK VS are made using the UCAS Tariff system.

Faculty-based programme administrators are responsible for ensuring that all DMU applications have been logged onto the university’s central student records database, and for sending on copies of UCAS or other application forms as hard copies or electronic documents to Partners. They will also provide documentation for Partner staff to indicate decisions, as well as determining fee status of applicants and offering advice on the equivalence of EU qualifications. The International Admissions Office (IAO) will provide advice on overseas (non-EU) qualifications and for those UK Partners without UK VI Highly Trusted Status will issue offer letters and visa letters to international students on payment of a deposit.

Entry requirements on programmes offered at OVS are determined as part of the validation process and applications processed locally, with advice and support from Faculty based admissions teams for the purposes of determining the equivalence of overseas qualifications or other non-standard entries, in accordance with the DMU Admissions Policy. Offer letters should be sent out by Partners as per the terms of the collaborative contract, unless otherwise stated.

Partner students wishing to ‘top up’ their awards at DMU will have identified progression options. Progression/top-up events will be organised at DMU for UK students supplemented by visits to Partner institutions to raise awareness and provide information on options available/entry requirements.

Visits to OVS will include promotion of progression opportunities to students wishing to progress to DMU.

Transitional support for students progressing from a Partner to the main DMU campus will involve support from HE Guidance Officers to develop skills and enable smooth transition to HE through increased awareness of the different learning styles required at this level – one to one support will be available on request. For students progressing from OVS, dedicated support is provided from the International Student Support Team including International Welcome Week, Airport pickups and academic support.

STUDENT FINANCE AND FEES

From 2015/16 the government’s Student Number Controls (SNC), designed to control the number of publically funded loans and grants for fees and maintenance for UK/EU partners, was removed. Whilst the removal of the SNC allows Partners (and DMU) more flexibility on recruitment, caps on recruitment will remain in place in accordance with the maximum student numbers agreed at validation and recorded the programme composition for each programme. The majority of DMU (UK based) collaborative provision is directly funded by the Higher Education Funding Council England (HEFCE) or moving towards directly funded, i.e. funding for students recruited by the Partner is allocated directly to the partner institution by HEFCE. Funding allocated to DMU and routed by DMU to the partner institution is referred to as indirectly funded provision. For information on partner payments and target setting (including provision for late enrollers and non-completions) for indirectly funded provision, please contact a member of EP/GPU.

UK partners – Directly Funded ProvisionUnless otherwise stated (i.e. as part of the contractual framework) full-time and part-time fees payable by students to the partner institution are agreed set annually by agreement between Partners and EP/GPU, and the fees are collected by Partners. The fee payable by the partner to DMU will be set at validation and reviewed on an annual basis. Arrangements for collecting income are specified in Schedule 4 of the Collaborative Contract.

Briefings on student finance and fees are delivered to Partners each year as part of enrolment training (UK and UK VS only).

UK partners – validation service provision (UK VS)Student fees are set annually by agreement between Partners and EP/GPU, and the fees are collected by Partners. A per capita fee and annual management fee is payable to DMU as part of the financial charges associated with programme validation under this model. Arrangements for collecting income are specified in Schedule 4 of the Collaborative Contract.

Overseas partners (OVS)Partners are responsible for setting and collecting fees for overseas students. Arrangements for collecting income are specified in Schedule 4 of the Collaborative Agreement.

Student data checkingAs the payment process is driven by student data extracted from the DMU enrolment form it is critical that the information held on the DMU student record system (QLS) is accurate. In order to ensure accuracy of student data, close liaison between faculty offices, Partners and EP/GPU is vital. Inaccurate or incomplete enrolment forms will be returned to the Partner for amendment. A Collaborative Partners Report (CPR) that captures student enrolment figures by FTE will be distributed by EP/GPU to Partners, finance and enrolment teams (and DMU Faculties) for checking prior to any invoicing period. NB. There may also be inaccuracies contained in student records created through on-line enrolment – these will also be identified through the same process.

Late enrollers (applicable for indirectly funded provision only)

It is the responsibility of the Partners to return student enrolment forms to DMU within the specified timeframes. Only students recorded on the HESES return in December will be funded (UK only). If a student does not become fundable until the next academic year, then payments will not be due for that student until HEFCE funding is received.

Non Completions (applicable for indirectly funded provision only)DMU is not funded for students who do not complete their programmes. A student is considered as completed if they have attended every final assessment on their programme or passed all modules that he/she intends to take in that academic year. Any money paid to the partner for a student who does not complete their studies that is subsequently clawed back by HEFCE or not released by the Student Loans Company will be repayable by the partner institution to DMU on demand in the next financial year following submission of the HESA return.

Equivalent or Lower Qualifications (ELQs)Payments to Partners for these students will occur in the usual manner, but the payment rate will be recalculated to reflect the reduction and subsequent removal of HEFCE funding since 2009/10.

Bursaries and ScholarshipsFull-Time, Home, Undergraduate DMU students, studying DMU HEFCE funded programmes (indirectly funded programmes), are eligible to apply for bursaries and scholarships. Details of the up to date Bursaries and Scholarships can be found on the DMU website Any additional financial assistance the Partner wishes to provide to students to aid in the costs of student are outside of the collaborative agreement and should not be advertised as a reduction in fees.

Student Loans (UK only)Full-time, home, undergraduate DMU students, studying DMU HEFCE funded programmes are eligible to apply for student loans. Student Loan Company (SLC) Entitlement Notifications letters need to be scanned to trigger the first payment of the student loan as soon as the student has enrolled on a programme. For directly funded programmes it is the responsibility of the partner to scan loan forms and collect payments from students. For indirectly funded programmes it is the responsibility of DMU to scan loan forms and collect payments from students.

The Entitlement Notification letter is evidence that the loan is ready to be paid. It is proof they have taken up the offer of the loan and the SLC has made arrangements to pay it. Payments are made directly to a student’s bank account, normally within 3 working days.

Details of other loans and grants available to students are available on the DMU website. Career development loans may also be available to adult learners who are returning to study and intending to work in the UK or EU on completion of their study – the loan is not available for first full time degrees.

STUDENT RECORD MANAGEMENT

DMU Student Administrative Support Division (SASD) at DMU is responsible a range of student academic services including student record management. Partners are required to liaise closely with SASD Admissions Team and EP/GPU to ensure adherence to DMU processes for enrolment and accurate record keeping throughout the student lifecycle, including attendance monitoring (for international students on UK and UK VS programmes), interrupts and withdrawals.

QL is the University’s student database. It holds information on the student and their curriculum from the moment the University receives their initial application to the day they graduate. This data is auditable by the external government agencies as part of our right to be recognised as a University.

Note: DMU is currently operating both online enrolment and paper based enrolment systems. Those eligible for online enrolment will be emailed directly through the address supplied at the point of application. All other applicants will be enrolled manually, arrangements for which will be agreed with Educational Partnership on an annual basis.

CURRICULUM MANAGEMENT

The Academic Database (ADs) holds details of the DMU curriculum and feeds into the QLs student database. Modules, courses and programmes are created in ADs and transferred to QLs to enable students to be enrolled on them, marks entered etc. Responsibility for inputting data rests with Faculty administrative teams or EP/GPU (UK VS).

Curriculum approval and modificationsThe programme curriculum is considered and approved as part of the initial validation process. Thereafter any changes to programmes validated for delivery at a collaborative partner must be discussed with the relevant DMU faculty with reference to the Guide to Curriculum Modifications. Examples of possible modifications include: changes or additions to the mode of delivery; change in delivery patterns; addition or removal of modules to a programme. The University has a formal, documented curriculum modification process to ensure standards are maintained and help monitor ‘curriculum drift’ (whereby programmes move gradually away from their originally validated status). It is vital that students and other key stakeholders are consulted and kept informed about such changes to their programme and its constituent modules and the process therefore includes a requirement to consult and communicate changes accordingly. Consideration of the proposed changes requires Faculty approval via its committee structure, i.e. PMB, Development and Review Committee (DARC) and FAC or equivalent for UK VS. Depending on the extent of the changes modifications may be dealt with as minor modifications or trigger re-validation. It is the responsibility of the Faculty Head of Quality to determine which category changes fall into, in consultation with DAQ/EP/GPU.

ExaminationsThe Examinations team within SASD is responsible for providing examination information, regulations, procedure documents and materials for all formal Partner examinations. There is a designated member of staff at DMU who is responsible for Partners examinations and is also able to give advice on examination issues on request. For Faculty based franchised provision identical examinations should be taken at all sites at the same time and students should have access to identical information and resources. Further information can be found on the DMU website.

AssessmentEach module belongs to a PMB. The PMBs are established by and within faculties and are responsible for the planning, design, implementation, management, quality assurance and assessment of the modules and programmes within its subject area.(Further details can be found in the Handbook and Regulations for Undergraduate Awards issued to Partners each academic session).

TEACHING AND LEARNING

DMU Library and Learning Services (LLS) is responsible for providing information, learning support and library services across the university. This includes access to information, both printed and electronic, study facilities and academic study support.

Full membership to library services, with the exception of British Library interlibrary loans, is available to all DMU students and to Partner staff teaching or supporting collaborative provision with the university. Full access to e-resources will be available where subscription licenses permit.

A member of the LLS team has been designated to support and promote links with Partner institutions and to be a first point of contact for enquiries from Partners and within the university.

Libraries or learning resource centres of Partner institutions are the principal information provider for any DMU programmes taught there. This includes provision of learning development/study skills support, appropriate for HE students. However, all DMU students and staff based at Partner institutions are entitled to access DMU’s own LLS. This includes a range of services that can be accessed remotely via the Partner or direct to students: Book reservation and renewal, Single sign on allowing access to university wide services like Blackboard, MyDMU and email, as well as library resources such e-books, e-journals and online databases Access to library-produced study support materials Student access to other university libraries through the Sconul Access scheme (UK and UK VS only)

Additional services and facilities can be accessed from the DMU Campus including IT resources, study facilities and training and support. Library induction sessions are available to UK and UK VS Partner students as part of the wider DMU induction sessions organised during Fresher’s Week or, for OVS Partner students via Link Tutor or EP/GPU Account Management visits. Support and networking opportunities are also provided to partner staff through establishing contacts with Library counterparts and meetings of staff responsible for library and study support.

Students are entitled to comparable levels of Information Technology services as all DMU students. All students are automatically registered for central IT service facilities for use on and off the university campus. Partners will be included fully in the university’s Enhanced Learning through Technology (ELT) Strategy. This links academic development and delivery to the key Technology-Enhanced Learning platforms that the university currently supports, namely Blackboard and Turnitin UK, alongside the use of Web2.0 tools. Communications will be facilitated through staff in EP/GPU.

The Partner e-Learning Co-ordinators (or equivalent) will be included in all communications between the DMU e-Learning Co-ordinator and the DMU Faculty e-Learning Co-ordinators. Along with Partner Blackboard users, they will also be included in all Blackboard users’ emails that are sent by the DMU e-Learning Co-ordinator.

Where appropriate, Partner staff users of DMU ELT systems may wish to contact staff in their relevant DMU faculty. This will need to be discussed within programme delivery teams during curriculum planning and team meetings. For data and administration issues staff will need to contact their relevant Faculty Office. Other issues

should be handled by the Partner e-Learning Co-ordinator in the first instance. The Partner e-Learning Co-ordinator (or equivalent) should refer unresolved issues to the DMU e-Learning Co-ordinator.

Partner students requiring support will have access to the same help materials as DMU students. However, for data and administration issues they will need to contact their relevant Faculty Office. For other queries they should see their tutors. Other communication channels are identified in DMU responsibilities.

Advice to DMU staff and students on academic offence issues are dealt with by Academic Practice Officers based within the Faculty. Partners are required to nominate a member of staff to take responsibility for dealing with such issues within their own institution, with support provided by DMU counterparts and/or the DMU Student Complaints and Conduct Officer within Student and Academic Services. All student complaints and matters of conduct should be dealt with by the Partner, with reference to the General Regulations and Procedures Affecting Students, unless the situation involves a ‘major’ offence or serious complaint at which point DMU must be notified.

Universal Design for Learning (UDL) aims to provide an equal learning experience for every DMU student. It aligns with our Strategic Framework 2015-2020, which outlines our ambition to transform DMU students into successful graduates by delivering an individual learning experience and personalised teaching and support. The principles of UDL are the product of decades of research about how people learn, and are based on more than 800 different research studies. At the heart of the UDL approach is the idea of embedding inclusivity and choice for both lecturers and students. The three key principles of UDL:

1. Flexible ways of learningExamples include:

Taught sessions that get you participating in inventive and innovative ways Using imaginative teaching aids

2. Flexible study resourcesExamples include:

Using modifiable handouts so that you can edit the font or background to your own preference Recording lectures in audio format for you to access before or after their lecture and to support you with your revision and assessments

3. Flexible ways of testing learningExamples include:

Providing you with different methods of assessment to challenge you in different ways Offering a wide range of ways for you to demonstrate your learning and understanding of your subject, this could be through presentations or video

STUDENT ENTITLEMENTS

The DMU community of students studying ‘off-site’ are entitled to access facilities and resources from DMU Campus as well as their own local institution. Due to the locality of OVS Partners the majority of facilities and resources will be accessed locally with additional online resources available from the DMU website, similarly, for UK and UK VS Partners entitlements will also primarily be accessed from within their own institutions with DMU providing an additional source as appropriate.

The DMU Student Gateway is an integrated reception responsible for providing information, advice and guidance on a range of support services to students and colleagues working with students across the university and its Partners. Partners’ own student services should be the primary source of information, advice and support to students with training and support available to partner staff to ensure services are developed to suit the specific needs of HE learners in line with DMU processes. The Student Gateway service areas at DMU cover:

Money and welfare (see also Student fees and finances above) Jobs and careers Disability issues Counselling, mental health and wellbeing

Students progressing onto programmes at the main DMU campus from a Partner institution are eligible for university-sourced housing. Students studying on a DMU programme at a UK and UK VS Partner are also eligible for university-sourced housing in their first year of study although it is advisable that such students explore housing arrangements available through their local institution first.

Partner students are entitled to the same level of Students’ Union support as all DMU students and have the same access to the De Montfort Students’ Union (DSU) facilities.

DMU provides all of its undergraduate students with a personal tutor who can be contacted regarding any general academic matter or personal concerns relating to life at DMU. The initial role of the tutor, along with the Student Advice Centre, is to help students make a smooth transition to university life. New students have the opportunity to meet with their personal tutor during the first three weeks of study, either individually or within a group, and begin to develop a positive relationship with them. Partner students will have access to similar support and partners may choose to adapt DMU’s personal tutor scheme or ensure a similar service is available for their students.

All staff are issued with a DMU login account on completion of a CP1 ‘staff account request form’, which provides remote access to a range of facilities and electronic resources through a ‘single sign on’ service, including Blackboard (DMU Virtual Learning Environment) and the staff portal. DMU staff ‘smart card’ also provides access to a range of local services available on DMU Campus such as DMU library borrowing rights.

Staff development is also seen as an essential aspect of the university’s collaborative activities. Partner staff will have the opportunities to participate in staff development events, including those organised by Academic Professional Development (APD) team and DAQ promoted through ‘Staff Development Matters’, a quarterly publication listing all DMU training programmes. Partner staff will also be invited to attend faculty specific events organised by the APD and/or the faculty, as appropriate.

COMMUNICATION/LIAISON

DMU consider communication and liaison to be a key factor in ensuring successful collaborative partnership working. A range of formal and informal arrangements exist to support lines of communication between Partners and the Faculty, EP/GPU and other central services. This includes Faculty liaison for the purpose of programme and quality management issues and administrative functions (undertaken by Collaborative Link Tutors and faculty administrators), EP/GPU liaison for the purpose of

operational and strategic management and liaison with Professional Services in support of specific functions, e.g. UKVI meetings, library and learning services, marketing liaison. A combination of direct face to face contact is undertaken supported by email, and increasingly, online video calling through Skype, particularly in support of overseas communication. EP/GPU operate an ‘account management’ system whereby individual members of the team are identified as key contacts for Partner HE Coordinators – for UK and UK VS partners this involves regular visits to Partner institutions to discuss operational issues and provide support/exchange of information. Plans are in place to establish a similar system with overseas partners, using a combination of annual visits and online video calling. Notes from meetings are logged by EP/GPU and shared with the partner.

In addition the UK and UK VS Partnership network is supported through bi-annual meetings of the Collaborative Partners Management Group (CPMG), organised by EP/GPU and DAQ and held at DMU in March and October.

Ongoing communication/news items are communicated to Partners through regular email updates.

PARTNER/PROGRAMME CLOSURE

The University may decide to end a formal partnership for a variety of reasons and, likewise, Partners may decide that collaborative work with DMU does not form part of its future plans. In such cases EP/GPU will take oversight of the process for closing partnerships, liaising with PVC/Deans and Heads of Studies in the relevant faculties. A recommendation to terminate the partnership will be submitted to the Executive Board (EB) by EP/GPU for consideration. For OVS partnerships, the International Strategy Group (ISG) must also be informed. Where proposals to close partnerships are agreed by Executive Board an exit action plan will be established to ensure ongoing compliance with the terms set out in the partner institutional contract, to be monitored by the University Collaborative Provision Committee (UCPC).

If a programme is suspended with the intention to close (or suspended temporarily) EP/GPU will work with the relevant DMU Faculty to ensure students continue to be fully supported until all have completed or until the maximum registration date, as per the terms of the partner institution contract. If a programme remains suspended for more than three years, the validation is deemed to have lapsed and a revalidation must take place before the programme can be reinstated.
