GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Performs advanced (senior-level) systems support for agency hardware (includes server, desktop, laptop, and handheld devices) and software. Performs server administration and desktop support. Participates as a member of the IT team on new projects, IT planning and integration, and for overall IT support. Implements, maintains, monitors, and deploys agency hardware, peripherals, and related
equipment and software installations and licenses. Communicates directly with user in person and
over the phone concerning problems and delivers prompt solutions. Assists in the development of processes/procedures, planning, budget, and equipment requirements. Works under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversees and assist lead desktop administrator with the support and configuration of desktop, laptop, personal computing, handheld, and peripheral equipment.
Oversees and assist lead server administrator with system administration, troubleshooting,
and performance tuning of Trust Co. servers on the Microsoft servers in a VMWare environment and Sun Solaris operating systems.
Coordinates with Trust Co. IT application development, lead desktop administrator, and with
system and application vendors on the troubleshooting, deployment and support of Trust Co systems. Assist lead server administrator with operating system updates and patches, and server security.
Oversees and assist lead server administrator with maintaining hardware maintenance
contracts with vendors and coordinating system hardware repairs and maintenance.
Oversees and assist lead desktop administrator in the creation and maintenance of desktop configuration and support documentation, change management logs, and desktop network connectivity documentation.
Oversees and assist lead desktop administrator with hardware and software inventory: equipment moves, adds, and changes; software licensing and maintenance contracts with vendors and coordinating upgrades with Trust Co. and CPA staff.
Coordinates within the Trust Co to ensure IT system compliance with agency Business
Continuity Plan requirements. Assist with troubleshooting network connectivity in coordination with Trust Co System Administrator, CPA networking, CPA help desk, and CPA security division
staff, and CPA customer service; adhering to CPA IT policies where applicable. Assist with the
planning and updates to the IT disaster recovery procedures and executing IT system disaster recovery in the event of a disaster.
Coordinates with Comptroller of Public Accounts (CPA) networking, help desk, and security
division staff, adhering to CPA IT policies where applicable. Responsible for ensuring system backups are completed, recoverable, and are following Trust Co. record retention schedules.
Performs other related work and projects as assigned. Acts as Trust Co. Security Coordinator backup.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor’s degree.
Complete copies of college transcripts must be furnished to the divisional hiring representative

Preferred Education: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor’s degree with major course work in computer science, computer information systems, or management information systems is preferred
Experience:
Experience may run concurrently: o Five (5) years of progressively responsible computer administration experience.
o Two (2) years must be server-level system administration in a TCP/IP networked environment.
o Five (5) years must be Microsoft desktop support in a TCP/IP networked environment.
Must have current experience (within the last two (2) years):
o In-depth support experience for Microsoft Office and Adobe products including intermediate knowledge of: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel (including the use of macros), Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Visio, and Adobe Acrobat Professional.
o Server-level system administration experience with MicroSoft Server OS. o In-depth experience with Microsoft and Apple desktop operating systems. o Experience with printer configuration including support of multi-function printer
scanning and faxing. o Experience with server-level system administration experience with Unix. o Experience with backup software. o Experience with server hardware troubleshooting and maintenance. o Experience with uninterruptible power supply equipment. o Experience with database system level support.
o Experience with system scripting languages and system utilities. o Experience with Microsoft system utilities and FTP. o Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe integration with third party products.
o Web publishing and web publishing software o Conference room audio and video equipment.
Preferred Experience:
Experience with MicroSoft Server 2008 or higher.
Experience with Windows 7 Professional, IOS8+ and Mac OSx 10 or higher.

Substitution: One (1) year additional related experience may substitute for thirty (30) semester hours of the required education, with a maximum substitution of sixty (60) semester hours (two years).

Working hours: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., 40 hour work week, Monday through Friday. May occasionally work evenings, weekends or holiday. Hours may change based on business needs.

The position may require travel to other locations as necessary. The position requires occasional work hours other than 8am-5pm Monday - Friday, to be on call for phone calls and text messages after hours, and to work occasional weekends and State holidays.

Enforcement division.)
