Swachh  Bharat  Abhiyan:  IIMR‐Hyderabad  joined  the drive At  IIMR‐Hyderabad:  Indian  Institute  of  Millets  Research‐  Hy‐derabad ‐ organized special Swatchta Campaign on October 2, 2016 as a part of National Swachhta Mission commemorating the Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti. On this occasion, staff took the 'Swachhta Shapath'  to keep the country neat and clean. This 

pledge was administered by  the Dr. Vilas A Tonapi, Director, IIMR, in Hindi and Sh. Saroj Kumar Singh, Administrative offi‐cer,  in  English.  All  employees  of  the  institute  including  the Director  enthusiastically  participated  in  this  event  and wielded  broom  and  cleaned  the  main  building  premises, waste material  removal  from the roof, and campus cleaning. The  program  was  coordinated  by  Dr  SS  Rao,  Nodal  Officer, SBM, IIMR, Hyderabad.   At CRS (IIMR), Solapur: Swachh Bharat Abhiyan also organized on 2 October, 2016 at our regional centre “Centre on Rabi Sor‐

कृषक िदवस तथा बुआई पूवर् अिभयान   भाकअनुसं,  हैदराबाद  तथा  कृिष  महािव यालय  एवं  कृिष  अिभयांित्रकी महािव यालय, आ.एन.जी.रं.कृ.िविव., बाप ला के संयुक्त त वावधान म आंध्र प्रदेश के गुटुंर  िज़ले  के अतोटा ग्राम म 28 अक्तूबर, 2016 को कृषक िदवस कायर्क्रम के दौरान आंध्र प्रदेश के पि चमी तटीय िज़ल  म िबना जुताई के धान-पड़ती म  वार की खेती के प्रसार हेतु बुआई के पूवर् एक  अिभयान  चलाया  गया  ।  ी  ए  वी  भवानी  शंकर,  सहायक महाप्रबंधक,  रा ट्रीय  कृिष  एवं  ग्रामीण  िवकास  बक कायर्क्रम  म  मुख्य अितिथ के  प म उपि थत थे । प्रगितशील कृषक, बीज  यापारी, छात्र शािमल लगभग 400  वार कृषक  ने उक्त कायर्क्रम म भाग िलया।

ghum (CRS)”, Solapur, Maharashtra. Staff took the Swachhata pledge  governed  by  Dr.  KK  Sharma,  Principal  Scientist  and Officer in–charge. All the staff, despite incessant rain, enthusi‐astically participated in the cleaning of office premises includ‐ing road sides, main entrance, garden and office rooms. Swachhata  Campaign  at Nandigama  village:    To mark  this  occa‐sion,  a  team  of  scientists  from  IIMR‐Hyderabad  Drs.  Ch  Sa‐shidhar  Reddy,  PG  Padmaja,  K  Srinivas  Babu,  and  C Deepika 

visited  the Nandigama Village,  in Mahaboobnagar District  of Telangana  to generate awareness  among  the  villagers  about the  Swachh  Bharat  Abhiyan  and  organized  a  cleaning  pro‐gramme  of  village  streets  and  school  campus.  During  the launch  of  the  cleanliness  programme,  Swachhta  Pledge  in Telugu  was  taken‐up  by  the  villagers  and  school  children, which  was  organized  by  Dr.  Sashidhar  Reddy.    The  village Panchayat Sarpanch Sh. Krishna and other members also ac‐tively participated the cleanliness drive along with the public. 

Farmers Day cum Pre-sowing Campaign organized

Pre‐sowing campaign on “Promotion of sorghum cultivation in rice  fallows  under  zero  tillage  in western  coastal  districts  of Andhra  Pradesh” was  organized  during  Farmers  Day  held  at Attota village of Kollipara (Mandal), Tenali (Tq), Guntur (Dist.), Andhra Pradesh on 28 October, 2016. Mr AV Bhavani Shankar, Assistant General Manager, National Bank for Agricultural and Rural Development, Guntur was  the  Chief Guest.  About  400 sorghum farmers  including progressive  farmers, seed traders and students actively participated in this event.    

Mr.  AV  Bhavani  Shankar,  AGM,  NABARD,  Guntur  briefed about  the agricultural  loans and different schemes extended by the Bank. Mr. G Veera Prasad, Assistant Professor, Agricul‐tural  Engineering  College,  Bapatla  explained  about  the  ma‐chines  suitable  for  the  sowing of  sorghum  seeds under  zero tillage  situation.  Scientists  from  IIMR‐Hyderabad  Drs.  S  Ravi Kumar and B Subbarayudu and AICRP scientists from Bapatla – Drs. Y Radha Krishna and Vijaya Lakshmi explained the  im‐proved methods of sorghum cultivation, package of practices for  rice  fallows  region  and  alternate  uses  of  sorghum  and other millets. During this occasion, seed of high yielding sor‐ghum  hybrids  CSH  14  and  CSH  16  was  also  distributed  to farmers.  Mr  S.  Hussain,  Agricultural  Officer,  Department  of Agriculture, Andhra Pradesh also took part in this event. Over‐all, the farmers have shown more interest to cultivate short to medium tall type sorghum hybrids with high yields.   

This programme was organized jointly by ICAR‐Indian Institute of Millets Research, Hyderabad; Agricultural College and Agri‐cultural  Engineering College, ANG Ranga Agricultural Univer‐sity, Bapatla. This programme was widely covered in the local electronic and print media.

Memorandum  of  agreement  between  ICAR‐IIMR  and  M/s Inner  being  wellness  Pvt.  Ltd,  Hyderabad  was  signed  on  03 

October,  2016,  to  manufacture  and  market  sorghum  flakes and millet atta. Dr Vilas A Tonapi, Director – IIMR on behalf of IIMR and Sh. CS  Jadhav and K Anand Swaroop Reddy on be‐half of M/s  Inner being wellness Pvt.  Ltd, Hyderabad,  signed and exchanged the agreement. The agreement was facilitated by Dr B Dayakar Rao, Principal Investigator – CoE‐Sorghum in presence of Dr. C Aruna, Principal Scientist, IIMR.  M/s GB Pvt Ltd. Pune.

Memorandum  of  Understanding  between  ICAR‐IIMR‐Hyderabad  and M/s Good Brands  for  a Healthy  Life  Pvt.  Ltd (GB Pvt. Ltd), Sindh Housing Society, Aundh, Pune, Maharash‐tra was signed on 13 October, 2016 to license the IIMR tech‐

nologies of  following  items:    Jowar Upma Mix,  Jowar Pongal Mix,  Jowar  Idli  Mix  Jowar  (  Instant  category)  and  Jowar, kodomillet  and  ragi  puffs,  jowar  Idli  rawa  and  Millet  rawa (Vermicelli category)  to be marketed by M/s GB Pvt. Ltd un‐der their brand name in retail and wholesale. This Agreement shall  be  in  force  for  a  period  of  3  years.  Dr.  Vilas  A  Tonapi, Director – IIMR on behalf of IIMR and Mr. Terman Singh Ahlu‐walia, Managing Director & COE, on behalf of M/s GB Pvt. Ltd, signed  and  exchanged  the  agreement.  The  agreement  was facilitated by Dr. B Dayakar Rao, Principal Investigator – CoE‐Sorghum  in  the  presence  of  Drs.  Avinash  Singode  and  San‐gappa Chillarge, Scientists, IIMR.  

Guest Lecture by Dr. Binu Cherian Dr. Binu Cherian, Country Manager, HarvestPlus, Washington, DC,  USA  visited  IIMR  on  19  October,  2016.  HarvestPlus,  an American  organization, which  chiefly  improves  nutrition  and 

public  health by  developing  and  promoting  biofortified  food crops that are rich in vitamins and minerals. Dr. Binu Cherian made  a  brief  presentation  on  HarvestPlus  program  on  their research on Pearl millet development and popularization and dissemination,  it was  followed by  interactive session with all the  scientists  and  deliberations were made  on  collaboration between Harvest Plus and ICAR‐IIMR. He also visited to Centre of Excellence and other  facilities. All  the Scientists, Technical staff and students participated in the discussions.  

Millets germplasm exploration in Maharashtra

Millets  germplasm  exploration  was  undertaken  in  Vidarbha regions of Maharashtra during 14‐22 October 2016. The mis‐sion was undertaken in collaboration with NBPGR as lead cen‐tre with the team of Drs. M Elangovan   and  Sunil  Go‐mashe  as members.  In  the present millets  exploration  three major  districts  Gadchiroli,  Gondia  and  Bhandara  were  cov‐ered, along with small pockets of adjoining districts of Yavat‐mal,  Chandrapur  and  Nagpur,  and  the  team  collected  total 105 accessions.  

Guest Lecture Dr. OP Yadav, Director,  CAZRI,  Jodhpur presented his  expert views on “Accelerated development  in millets  improvement” 

at  IIMR on 6 October 2016.  All Scientists, technical staff and students participated in this session and followed by interac‐tive discussion.  

Swachh Pakhwada at IIMR Indian  Institute  of Millets  Research‐  Hyderabad  ‐  organized  special Swachhata  Pakhwada  from  17‐30  October  2016  as  per  the Council’s  guidelines.  The  day‐to‐day  activities  undertaken during  the  period  are  enlisted  here:  October  17‐19,  2016: Swachhta  Pledge;  cleaning  around  guesthouse,  waste  re‐moval,  and  campus  road  cleaning; October  21: Millets  value addition at  Maharaja pet village; cleaning and  waste removal from  the  roof  tops  of  IIMR  buildings;  October  22,  2016:  re‐moval of   contraction waste materials; October 24, 2016: re‐moval  of   waste materials  from  surroundings  of  IIMR  guest‐house; October 25‐26, 2016: cleaning the lawns, hedge prun‐ing etc.; On October 27, 2016: cleanliness drive at village Ma‐

harajpet  (Vill),  Shankarpally  (Mandal),  RR  district.  Telangana. October 28‐31, 2016: campus cleaning, stores files organizing, inventorying etc., Daily report on all these activities were sub‐mitted  to  the  Council  along with  the  photographs.  This  fort‐night  programme  was  coordinated  by  Dr.  SS  Rao,  Principal Scientist and Nodal Officer for SBA at IIMR.   

Sorghum germplasm monitored under CRP - AB project

AICRP – Bapatla: The sorghum germplasm characterization at AICRPP  –  Bapatla was monitored  on  4 October,  2016  by  the team  of  scientists  from  IIMR‐Hyderabad,  ANGRAU‐Bapatla, and NBPGR, New Delhi with Drs M Elangovan, Sushil Pandey, Radhakrishnan, and Vijayalakshmi as members.  

IIMR – Hyderabad: The sorghum germplasm characterization at  IIMR  ‐  Hyderabad was monitored  on  5  October,  2016,  by the team of scientists from IIMR‐Hyderabad, and NBPGR, New Delhi which included Drs. M Elangovan, Sushil Pandey, Avinash Singode and Mrs A Annapurna as members.   

AICRP – Indore: The sorghum germplasm characterization at AICRP –  Indore was monitored on 10th October 2016 by  the team of scientists from IIMR and NBPGR, which included Drs. Sushil  Pandey, Dr.  Kataria, Mrs.  A Annapurna  and Mrs. Usha Saxena as members.  

AICRP – Akola: The  sorghum germplasm characterization at AICRP – Akola was monitored on 13 October 2016 by the team of  scientists  from  IIMR‐Hyderabad,  PDKV‐Akola,  and  NBPGR, New Delhi which included Drs M Elangovan, Sushil Pandey, N Dikshit, RB Ghorade and Sunil Gomashe as members.   

The overall plant stand in all the above centres was good. The pre‐harvest data on agro‐morphological traits were recorded.  

Sorghum DUS testing trials monitored at MPKV, Rahuri The  sorghum  DUS  testing  trials  conducted  at  MPKV,  Rahuri, the Co‐nodal centre for sorghum was monitored on 7 October 2016  by  Dr.  Hariprasanna  K,  Nodal  Officer,  IIMR.  Dr.  Vijay  R Shelar, Nodal Officer & Seed Research Officer, MPKV and Dr. RS  Shaikh,  Co‐Nodal  Officer,  MPKV.  Drs.  GN  Gharade  and Vishnu  Ameta  from  Syngenta  India  Ltd.  participated  in  the monitoring. There were 19 candidate and 15 reference varie‐ties under 1st year testing, and 13 candidate and 19 reference varieties  under  2  year  testing.  The  crop  had  reached  dough stage/physiological maturity and the expression of majority of claimed DUS  traits  in candidate varieties were similar  to  that observed at Hyderabad. All the farmers’ varieties planted dur‐ing  the season were  found to be adapted to  rabi  season and hence,  it  was  suggested  to  test  the  entries  again  during  the 

ensuing rabi season. The committee noted the differences in observations  at  Rahuri  compared  to  Hyderabad.  The  report of the monitoring team and DUS test proformae for the can‐didate varieties were prepared and finalized. 

Vigilance Awareness Week

The “Vigilance Awareness week” (31 October to 5 November, 2016) was inaugurated at Indian Institute of Millets Research (IIMR),  Hyderabad  on  31  October,  2016.  This  event  com‐

menced with an oath taking ceremony as per Council’s guide‐lines.  The  pledge  was  administered  by  Dr.  Vilas  A  Tonapi, Director in English and later in Hindi by Shri Saroj Singh, SAO.  All  the  staff  took a pledge  to eradicate  corruption  in all  the spheres of life and also to perform duties without any favour and fear. Dr. PG Padmaja, Vigilance Officer, IIMR briefed the purpose  and  importance  of  observing  the  Vigilance  Aware‐ness Week and the functioning.  

New Appointment  

DR. (Mrs.) Swarna Ronanki has joined IIMR as Scien‐tist (Agronomy) on 13 October, 2016. Her mail id is: swarna@millets.res.in.  The  IIMR  family  welcomes her to this organization.

evolve contracts with the industries. Dr. B Dayakar Rao, Princi‐pal Scientist coordinated this visit.  

Dr.  Satya  Dev,  Research  Coordinator,  Advanta  India  Ltd,  Hy‐derabad visited IIMR on 14 Oct, 2016. Dr. Vilas A Tonapi Direc‐tor,  IIMR  apprised  him  on  the  ongoing  research  on  grain, sweet,  forage  and  dual‐  purpose  sorghums.  Dr.  Satya  Dev sought  the  technology  assistance  from  IIMR  in  the  areas  of sorghum grain  for  industrial  uses,  forage  sorghum and  sweet sorghum for biofuel production.  

Sh. S Vijay Kumar Babu, Chairman, Core Green Sugar and Fuels Pvt  Ltd.,  Hyderabad  visited  IIMR  on  28  October,  2016  to  ex‐

change views on sorghum R&D. In particular, he evinced keen interest in growing sweet‐sorghum to produce bio‐ethanol. He also had a detailed discussion with the Drs. A Umakanth and B Venkatesh  Bhat.  He  was  appraised  about  the  new  develop‐ments in ICAR pertaining to collaborative projects with private sector.

Ltd.,  Attibele,  Bengaluru  visited  IIMR  on  20  October,  2016. They had a detailed discussion with Dr. Vilas A Tonapi, Direc‐tor, IIMR on the issue of up‐scaling the available food process‐ing technologies. Issues relating to millet health foods including novel ways  to mechanize millet  value‐addition. Dr. B Dayakar Rao, Principal Scientist also participated in the discussions.   Dignitaries:

Sh. C Janardhan Reddy, former Member of Legislative Council of  Andhra  Pradesh  visited  IIMR,  Hyderabad  on  03  October, 2016.  Dr.  Vilas  A  Tonapi,  Director,  IIMR  explained  him  about the  ongoing  research  activities,  action  plans,  and  monitoring techniques  being  practiced  at  IIMR  to  increase  the  research and  scientific  output.  Dr.  Reddy  also  visited  sorghum  Food Processing  and Technology Park. Dr.  B Dayakar Rao,  Principal Scientist coordinated his visit.  

Dr. OP Yadav, Director, CAZRI, Jodhpur visited IIMR on 6 Octo‐ber, 2016. He had a detailed dialogue with  the Director,  IIMR Dr.  Vilas  Tonapi  on  intensification  of  R&D  activities  in millets 

improvement and utilization.  

African visitors: A  Team  of  a  visitors  from  Africa  visited  IIMR  on  24  May, 2016. Their visit to IIMR was a part of their orientation pro‐

gramme on  rural  development  and  agricultural  practices  in India. Dr. Vilas A Tonapi, Director ‐IIMR, briefed them about institute activities. The scientists at IIMR appraised the team about  the  cultivation,  conservation  and  processing  of  sor‐ghum  products.  The  team  also  visited  the  centre  of  excel‐lence  for  sorghum  foods  and  value  addition.  They  showed interest  in  transferring  the  value  addition  technologies  to their country through collaboration.  

Farmers: A  group  of  25  farmers  from  Ariyalur  district,  Tamil  Nadu, visited IIMR on 06.10.2016 as a part of their educational tour 

and to get detailed know‐how about the sorghum crop and its  usefulness.  Dr.  M  Elangovan  explained  the  team  about the latest production technologies developed at the institute and the demonstration plot. The team also visited the centre of excellence on value addition to sorghum and millets. 

Guest Lecture Dr. B. Dayakar Rao, Principal Scientist was delivered a Guest Lecture  on  “Millets  Value  Chain”  on  the  occasion  of  com‐memorating World Food Day 2016 at Indian Institute of Crop Processing Technology (IICPT), Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu, on the 25 October 2016.  

IIMR stall at Krishimela at Shivmogga The  Indian  Institute  of Millets  Research,  Hyderabad  organ‐ized a millet exhibition to showcase millet based value added products in Krishimela at Shivamogga, Karnataka during 21 ‐ 24 October 2016, by University of Agriculture and Horticul‐ture Sciences, Shivamogga. Vice Chancellor, UAHS –Bagalkot Dr. DL Maheshwar inaugurated the Krishi mela and the exhi‐bition was inaugurated by Dr. Krishna Byre Gowda, Minister

भारतीय कद न अनुसंधान सं थान म िहदंी चेतना मास समारोह संप न भाकृअनुप - भारतीय कद न अनुसंधान सं थान, हैदराबाद म 14 िसतंबर – 13 अक्तूबर, 2016 के दौरान िहदंी चेतना मास समारोह का आयोजन िकया गया । समारोह का शुभारंभ भारतीय  कृिष  अनुसंधान  पिरष   गान  से  हुआ  ।  डॉ. िवलास ए  टोणिप,  िनदेशक, भाकअनुसं  ने 14  िसतंबर, 2016 को माँ सर वती की प्रितमा पर मा यापर्ण तथा दीप  प्र जविलत करके  समारोह  के  शुभारंभ की  घोषणा की । उक्त चेतना मास के अंतगर्त िहदंी म 15 िविभ न प्रितयोिगताओं  (वणर्माला,  बारहखड़ी  व  संिध  िव छेद, छोटे श द  एवं पद  का  िहदंी म अनुवाद, का य-वाचन, श द-लेखन  साम यर्,  ुत-लेखन  (शु ध  लेखन),  िट पण एवं आलेखन, िनबंध-लेखन, श द-संकेत एव ंसंज्ञान, िहदंी म  पो टर  प्र तुितकरण,  अं याक्षरी,  िहदंी  पाठ  वाचन, मरण  शिक्त  परीक्षण,  आशु-भाषण,  प्र न-मंच)  का  आयोजन  िकया  गया,  िजनम  वैज्ञािनक,  तकनीकी,  प्रशासिनक  तथा अनुसंधान सहायक, शोध छात्र  आिद ने बड़-ेही उ साह व उमंग के साथ भाग िलया । इसके अलावा उक्त चेतना मास के दौरान  िहदंी म ह ताक्षर अिभयान भी चलाया गया,  िजसम सभी अिधकािरय  तथा कमर्चािरय   ने  िहदंी म ह ताक्षर करके कायर्क्रम को सफल बनाया । सं थान म 18 अक्तूबर, 2016 को िहदंी चेतना मास के समापन समारोह का आयोजन िकया गया । डॉ. के बी आर एस िवशारदा, प्रभारी अिधकारी, िहदंी कक्ष ने समारोह म उपि थत लोग  का  वागत िकया । सं थान के िनदेशक, डॉ. िवलास ए टोणिप ने मुख्य अितिथ के  प म पधारे प्रो. एम वकटे वर, पूवर् प्रोफेसर एवं अ यक्ष, िहदंी भाषा एवं भारत अ ययन िवभाग, अंगे्रजी एवं  िवदेशी भाषा  िव विव यालय,  हैदराबाद का पु पगु छ से  वागत िकया । डॉ.  िवशारदा  ने  सं थान म संचािलत

of Agriculture, Government of Karnataka.   

IIMR  stall  was  visited  by more  than  20000  participants  in‐cluding  Dr.  C.  Vasudevappa,  Vice  Chancellor  of  UAHS,  Shi‐moga, farmers, Government officials, Women from self‐help groups,  students  and  entrepreneurs.  The  visitors  were  ex‐plained about the health benefits of millets, cultivation prac‐tices and future of millets in Indian food basket and samples of millet food products distributed. The event was organized by Ms. Sudha Devi & Ms. Kiranmai, project staff CoE on Sor‐ghum and Coordinated by Dr. Sangappa, Scientist, ICAR‐IIMR , Hy‐derabad.  One Day Industry Interface Meet on Coarse Cereals One day  Industry  Interface Meet  on  Coarse  Cereals  in  col‐laboration with Department of Agriculture and Cooperation and  ICAR‐Indian  Institute  of  Millets  Research,  Hyderabad was organized at Centre of Excellence on Millets, UAS GKVK, Bengaluru on 27 October 2016. This meet was  inaugurated by Dr. H. Shivanna, Vice Chancellor University Of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalorein presence of Dr. Vilas A Tonapi, Direc‐tor,  IIMR – Hyderabad and other dignitaries  from different institutions.  Farmers from Tumkur District of Karnataka and entrepreneurs, food processors,    industrialists participated  in  this  meet  and  shared  their  experiences  and  views  and participated  in  the  deliberations  on  promotion  of  millets and policy perspectives was discussed with participants.  

Various  technologies  developed  by  Centre  of  Excellence  on Bajra, Millets and Sorghum were  showcased  in an exhibition to promote and commercialize millets value added technolo‐gies.  ICAR‐IIMR  stall,  the  value  added  products  of  eatrite brand  in  particular  received  much  attention.  Dr.  Sangappa, Scientist,  ICAR‐IIMR,  Hyderabad  coordinated  the  exhibition Stall.   

Millets Exhibition stall at Conference of ASPA  The 20th Annual Conference of Asian Science Park Association (ASPA) organized by  ICRISAT with  the  theme  Innovation shar‐ing and collaborative opportunities in Science & Technology for advancement in Asia & Asia Pacific at Hyderabad International Convention Centre  (HICC), Hyderabad during 19 ‐ 22 October, 2016  to facilitate  strong  linkages  between  India  and  Asia‐Pacific Countries and their stakeholders  in Science & Technol‐ogy for cross border exchange of ideas and technologies. Dr. B. Dayakar  Rao,  Principal  Scientist  represented  the  ICAR‐  IIMR‐Hyderabad. ICAR‐ IIMR also organized millet food exhibition stall during the conference. More  than 200 dignitaries  from various organiza‐tions  across  the  globe  and  India,  including Dr. David Bergvin‐son,  Director  General,  Director  General,  ICRISAT,  Hyderabad visited the stall and appreciated the efforts made by the insti‐tute  in diversifying  the millets value added products. Dr. San‐gappa,  Scientist,  IIMR,  Hyderabad  coordinated  the  exhibition stall.

राजभाषा कायार् वयन संबंधी प्रगित प्रितवेदन तथा डॉ. महेश  कुमार,  तकनीकी  अिधकारी  (राजभाषा)  ने  िहदंी चेतना मास समारोह के दौरान आयोिजत कायर्क्रम  पर प्रितवेदन प्र तुत िकया तथा उक्त समारोह को सफल बनाने  के  िलए सं थान म कायर्रत सभी अिधकािरय  एवं  कमर्चािरय   के  प्रित  आभार  यक्त  िकया  ।  ी सरोज कुमार  िसहं तथा  ीमती ए अ नपूणार्  ने उक्त समारोह के संबंध म अपने-अपने िवचार वयक्त िकए । इस  अवसर  पर  प्रो.  वकटे वर  ने  सं थान  म  िहदंी 

चेतना मास के दौरान आयोिजत प्रितयोिगताओ ंके  िवजेताओ ंको नकद पुर कार तथा प्रमाण-पत्र एवं प्रितयोिगता के अ य सहभािगय  को कलम तथा  प्रमाण-पत्र  प्रदान  िकए  ।  डॉ. टोणिप  ने  सं थान म राजभाषा कायार् वयन को प्रो साहन प्रदान  करने  हेतु  संचािलत  नकद  पुर कार  योजना  के अंतगर्त  ी  डी  रामबाबू,  सहायक,  ीमती  वी  एस  जी पावर्ती, सहायक प्रशासिनक अिधकारी एवं  ी सरोज कुमार िसहं, प्रशासिनक अिधकारी को नकद पुर कार एवं प्रमाण-पत्र  तथा  प्रितयोिगताओ ं के  िनणार्यक   को  मिृत  िच न प्रदान िकए । इसके अलावा सं थान म प्रबोध, प्रवीण, प्राज्ञ व पारंगत म उ ीणर् अिधकािरय  को भी प्रमाण-पत्र िवतिरत िकए गए ।  प्रो. वकटे वर ने अपने संबोधन म िविभ न िवषय  को समािहत करते हुए कहा िक हम राजभाषा कायार् वयन को बढ़ाने हेतु 

सवर्प्रथम  िशक्षा  के मा यम एवं  रोजगारो मुख भाषा की ओर  यान देना चािहए । उ ह ने बताया िक अंगे्रजी का उपयोग करत-ेकरत ेहम अपनी सं कृित को भूलत ेजा रहे ह । अतः हम हमारी सं कृित को जीिवत रखने हेतु िहदंी एवं  अ य  भारतीय  भाषाओं  को  मह व  देना  चािहए  । इसके अलावा उ ह ने बताया िक कद्रीय कमर्चारी के िलए तो राजभाषा  िहदंी म कायर् करना अिनवायर्  है चूंिक यह उसका  संवैधािनक  दािय व  है  ।  डॉ.  टोणिप  ने  अपने अ यक्षीय  भाषण  म  कहा  िक  हमारा  सं थान  राजभाषा कायार् वयन म सही गित पर है लेिकन हम उससे संतु ट नहीं  होना  चािहए  तथा  इसम  और  प्रगित  हेतु  मागर् खोजना  चािहए  ।  इसके  अलावा  उ ह ने  अपील  की  िक 

हमने जो  िहदंी चेतना मास  के  दौरान  िहदंी म ह ताक्षर अिभयान की शु आत की  है उसे यहीं पर न रोकत े हुए पूरे वषर् जारी रखना चािहए । अंत म डॉ. महेश कुमार, के वारा ध यवाद ज्ञापन तथा सामूिहक  प से रा ट्रगान के प चात समारोह का  समापन  हुआ  ।  सं थान म  संप न पूरे  िहदंी  चेतना  मास  के  कायर्क्रम   का  संचालन  एवं सम वय  डॉ.  िवलास  ए  टोणिप  के  िदशा-िनदश  म  डॉ. िवशारदा तथा डॉ. महेश कुमार के  वारा िकया गया ।
