Box 885, Redwood City CA 94064 www.sequoiaartgroup.com APRIL 26 th PROGRAM - Critique by Joyce Faulknor It will be a critique of member’s paintings by Joyce Faulknor, with emphasis on what an Art Show Judge looks for in deciding ribbon awards. She judged our Spring Art Show last May (2012) and several members wanted to know how she determined her selections. We need members to bring a painting to be critiqued to this meeting-it can be one you entered last year or one you are not satisfied with and need tsome feedback. Joyce’s still life paintings capture the elusive nature of light and form. Her vibrant use of color and flowing reflections of light passing through the facets of glass are the signature elements of her style. She has been partnered with F&W Publishing since 2004, authoring numerous articles, DVD’s, including “Stunning Crystal and Glass” and The Wa- tercolorist Guide to Capturing the Splendor of Light. She has been featured in Splash 8 and Splash 10 and Water- color Artists Magazine and is a co-host of Art2Art PBS educational program, which has successfully filmed three season’s.
