b. Group discussion of how cities can currently view submitted applications

3. Tom Dobbs overview of GIS technology usage in development of ePermits

a. Good opportunity to show strength of GIS and integrate it into permitting agency permit

processes

b. Use of cloud technology and ArcGIS BLOB data storage

4. Discussion of goals:

a. Establish protocols and sizing for GIS system for ePermits

i. Needs further attention. Some municipalities store plans as PDFs and others as

TIFs due to file size issues

b. Define and develop GIS processing step requirements

i. This will need Python work and schema design

c. Identify and gather data layers for permitting jurisdictions, all data layers for location

determinations, and display of maps within ePermits interface

i. As an example, some cities have historic district boundaries requiring special

permit review

d. Implement mechanism for automated updates of all data layers to insure current data is

available
