About Ganesh Utsav

Lord Ganesh is the ele-phant headed God who is looked upon as a harbinger of wisdom, prosperity and good luck and it is considered aus-picious to begin any new task or project with his name. Ganesh Chaturthi is a Ten-day Hindu festival celebrated to honor Ganesha’s birthday. It’s a time of enjoyment and merriment for Ganesh Devo-tees. People take a break from their busy lives to immerse themselves in the celebration of the Ganesh Pooja.

The festival is celebrated all over the world and to-day one of the largest Ga-nesh events in Northern CA is proudly hosted by Radio Zindagi every year around the months of August & Sep-tember

What started in 2015 as a community outreach event at the New Park Mall quick-ly became a sought after fes-tival year by year. We took the festival to different cities such as Newark, Milpitas, Santa Clara, San Jose. And to-day this festival has become a coming together of sorts for not people all over the San Francisco Bay area

And this year Radio Zinda-gi is proud to bring to the bay area its 5th annual Ganesh fes-tival – The Ganesh Utsav 2019
